Myril started a very useful thread entitled “Once Upon A Time glossary – fanspeak, acronyms…” which helps us all keep up with the terms, slang, and abbreviations which pop up in discussions of Once Upon a Time.
In “New s3 and Wonderland sections” Daniel announced these new forum sections devoted to the welcome announcement that Once has been renewed for a third season and the upcoming spinoff series, Once: Wonderland. The new sections can be found at “Season 3” and “Wonderland”
Was Greg and Tamara’s organization, the “Home Office”, created by Wendy? This popular theory is explored in several threads on the forums. Most of the discussion has been in the thread entitled “Home Office” but the question has also been addressed in “Theory – Wendy’s kidnapping started “The Home Office”?”, “Wendy role”, and “The Organization”. “RumplesGirl” has done a good job adding links to tie these threads together. More discussion of variations on the origin of “The Home Office” can be found in “steam punk home office”. Speculation on what else the organization might have done can be found in “Owen and Henry’s adoption”, in which Keb asks if the Home Office might have discovered Emma’s identity and been involved in bringing Henry to Regina.
A couple of recent threads discussed the idea of games related to Once Upon a Time. “Tabletop games” and “Once Upon a Time game… sort of…” both linked to the Wil Wheaton youtube show Tabletop Games which featured a storytelling game called “Once Upon A Time”. Even though the game is not based upon the TV show, there are obvious fairy tale similarities. Ideas for how other games might appeal to Once fans have been discussed in the past in “Re: O/T: Recommended Computer Games” and in “Once Upon A Time game” I described the preliminary version of what I hope will eventually become a full-fledged online Once Upon a Time game, but there’s not much there yet.
The author of Henry’s book is a mystery that has intrigued fans since the first episode of the show. Now “fairy dust” offers a new hypothesis in “Back to the Future – Did Henry write the book?” and “Who wrote Henry’s book anyway?” Many of the issues raised in trying to identify the author of Henry’s book are also addressed in the thread “How would August know that Neal is Bae?”
These are just a small sample of the topics that are being discussed in the forums. Head on over and join the conversation!
