From all the pictures i’m seeing, I can tell they are definitely going in a darker direction for Peter Pan. The lost boys look frightful, filthy, and starving. Not like the young and carefree boys having fun adventures around Neverland. I’ve read some theories about NL being the place where the Wraith takes its captured souls, so that would line up for Neverland being dark and evil.

Basically, Peter steals children away from their homes and brings them to Neverland to fight in a war against… well, lets just say pirates. The story is fun, but it’s not the childhood story you love. It’s dark, dangerous, and disgusting at times. But i loved it. I get pretty engrossed in all Peter Pan mythology.
