Keeper of FelixHm, the thing with the Hook/Belle situation is that it does have the potential to be a good friendship. However, right now, as it’s written, it’s mostly one-sided. The only moment Hook briefly focused on Belle and tried to make her feel better was in the library when he told her that Rumple did love her. Since then it’s always been about him. And that last scene, when he barged in and basically demanded answers from Belle with no consideration for how she might feel talking about Rumple, the Dark One and her failed TLK of the past, that was just all about him and his feelings.
If they want to sell this friendship, they need to start showing Hook caring about Belle’s feelings. She gives him emotional support, but he doesn’t do the same for her (save for that library moment).
