Goodman writing The Crocodile and now this Jolly Roger episode is more reassuring than seeing Boylan’s name again because I was very underwhelmed with Good Form’s consistency with previous canon events and the personality of the characters. Of course, that doesn’t mean that they’re going to conclude Hook’s story versus expand it as we have no idea what their current thinking is. I felt like NL was kind of a detour, a chance for the writers to do a few things like those mother daughter moments that GG and J.MO wanted forever, maybe get away from the chess match thing of good versus evil and an interweaving set of characters so much.

KFC: that’s a pretty solid interpretation of NL. And I agree: Good Form was my least favorite because of wonkiness.

There’s not a lot of new pretty things on Tumblr tonight. Mostly it’s a bunch people who are still annoyed that some CS people gave them grief for trying to trend #HopeforSwanFire last night which was apparently Colin’s birthday. This is what the fandom has come too everyone…. *bangs head on wall repeatedly* 🙁
BTW-The official OUAT twitter person proved once again what a tool they are and that’s all I’m saying about a certain thing I saw yesterday afternoon. *sigh* 😮
#MoreBOOMLessGloomTo add to slurpeez’s interpretation of “Jolly Roger”, there might also be meaning in the “jolly”, which means happy and satisfied, which is what Hook would be if he truly regained his good form, which he could possibly do by giving the ultimate selfless sacrifice.
The whole fandom has been expecting that the death could well happen in an ep they’re filming soon, rather than in the finale, and honestly, one of the reasons I was curious about the title for 317 was to see if it would be a Hook centric to match up with the timing of the death speculation. YoungCora’s gonna be in 318, so that’s unlikely to be the centric of anyone high up on the death suspect list, so unless they’re not killing anyone until 319 or later, if they’re gonna kill the character in their centric, evidence seems to be in favour of Hook right now IMO.
