I have no idea where Heather posted this (sorry!) but Phee brought it up in another thread–

if Neal listens to Snow then letting her go back in Tallahassee would have been for nothing. She’d never know her parents or find her home. His sacrifice would have been for nothing. So I don’t think he’ll listen to MamaBear Snow and DaddyCharming for very long.

Phee wrote: Heather, agreed about the pendant being just between the two of them, and it shouldn’t go through anyone else’s hands. If they do show it in 312 at all, that’s like a big, screaming, neon beacon that SF’s story isn’t done. Going off the spoilers we’ve got, it seems like there’s gonna be some setup for future SF interactions, and showing the pendant with Neal in FTL (and the dream catcher with Emma) would be a perfect way to do that.

I certainly prefer for the SF pendant to stay in Neal’s possession until Emma’s ready to receive it. It is indeed a flame of hope like a lighthouse which beckons the SF ship safely home again. Home is the key word, and the theme for S3b. What a beautiful narrative! #HopeForSwanFire.

So according to our theory: the dreamcatcher helps get Emma home but letting her trust Hook’s crazy story long enough to drink a magic potion. And the pendant helps Neal remember that he promised never to stop fighting for Emma and make him go out on a quest of his own to find Emma.

In other news…I really like Adam Horowitz

Check my post on the previous page with the frillion blocks of spoiler text. One of those blocks is Heather’s post, which I quoted without using the quote tags (because quote tags and spoiler tags are not friends).

If Hook does go off to find Emma without paying any heed to what her parents think and feel on the matter, then yes, he’s absolutely acting selfishly. But I’m OK with that because selfish pirate who doesn’t do stuff unless there’s something in it for himself, so it’d be totally in character.

According to Barbara Barnett, Neal handles being separated from Henry and Emma worse than all the others. I mean, makes sense. It is his son and the woman he loves. I just don’t want Neal to be reckless because it will just lead to more vitriol. And I don’t want character destruction

I would likewise be okay with this situation. Hook may get the same guilt trip from Snowing that Neal does. The difference is Neal takes time to ponder the truth of their meaning and also has to weigh it against his and Belle’s plans to save Rumple. Hook doesn’t give a second thought about heeding their words. One is quick to action, the other is more calculated. While I don’t think Neal’s resolve is any less great he also has a lot to consider whereas Hook has no other family like a father to think of (that we know of anyway, unless Balackbeard is his dad). One might call Hook’s brazen call to arms heroic, self-interested, or maybe scheming, depending on one’s interpretation. I’ve read several spoilers now that have used the negative-sounding words like ” devilishly rapscallion,” “scheme,” “scoundrel,” “interrupt,” and “worm his way” in reference to Hook and his plan to insert himself in Emma’s life. But I’m okay with this because heck, he’s a pirate! According to BB, we don’t learn the “how” or the “when” yet in 3×12…that is a question yet to be answered in later episodes. I have a feeling Hook’s scheming to get to NYC ahead of Neal may not be all that gentlemanly or smacking of “good form.” He may play the gentleman well in 3×12, but I remain skeptical of his intentions.

*Passes cookie to RG.* Bless your poor jangled Twitter nerves. Please, take Adam’s good advice and rest a bit. (As we all should). The story is in his and Eddy’s hands. It’s going to be a bumpy ride for all us SF fans, but lest we forget, we’ve got lots of give us hope: dreamcachters, swan pendants, NYC,”Charley’s Girl”, that yellow bug, and HOME.
