    Y’know. I’ve been thinking more about this Tin Man = Emma theory.

    Some other similarities: Emma closes herself off from the world. Walls up, that’s our Ms Swan. but in reality she’s very emotional and feels deeply. She’s an emotional magpie, collecting symbolic object and storing them, neatly tucked away–her baby blanket, the bug, the pendant, even Hook’s scarf. She puts on a brave face (and red jacket) but in reality she has tons of heart.

    What is special about the Wizard of Oz is that the characters have the traits/objects they are looking for. The Tin Man is the most emotional of all, though he thinks he is without heart. It is only with the placebo symbolic object is given to him by the Wizard that he begins to feel his heart again.

    I said in another thread about Neal being Tin Man that the Swan Pendant is like the Heart Watch given to the Tin Man by the Wizard. The pendant doesn’t just belong to Neal but to Emma. It’s her totem more than his, I’d say (just happens to be in his possession). So if the Witch got a hold of that (the heart totem) then yes I’d say Emma was in fact the Tin Man. So really the quest is to get Emma’s heart back (the pendant) which is what Neal is trying to do.

    I like this more and more.

    Aw thanks guys. I’m holding onto my 20′s with dear life because tomorrow that terrifying (though I’ve heard liberating) “3″ enters the room :D

    Meh, I hit my 30s a while back and it wasn’t bad at all. You’re only as old as you feel so I think for most of us here, we’re all about 22 right now! 😀 Try being closer to putting that 4 at the front of your age…..that’s where I am right now and it feels more than a little terrifying at times, LOL 😉

    @Phee
    I agree with you on this one. I think BelleFire does something to start the process of saving human!Rumple from whatever abyss he got stuck in but that the WW is the one who finishes the job and in turn, also resurrects the DO curse and uses Rumple for the host again. That makes more sense than his curse not breaking at all after making such an incredible sacrifice for everyone at the end of S3A.

    I LOVE that GIF set of the Tin Man and Emma. I wonder if they are going to go there with making Neal the Dorothy to Emma’s Tin Man. It sure seems like it but I guess we’ll know more this weekend. JMo didn’t come right out and say that Emma is the Dorothy figure for the show in one of her last interviews and she was vague enough to leave the door open that it was someone else. They could easily be using the same theme of ‘home’ for both of them but in slightly different ways (Neal saving Emma’s heart would be an awesome twist to the original story). And hey, that would mean that Henry still gets to be Toto!!! 😉

    The way that flying monkey was featured in both the promo and the sneak peek for 3×15 makes me wonder if it’s important overall to the plot. Might that flying monkey be a dwarf, Walsh, Little John or even Neal trying to communicate? It didn’t seem to be attacking them. Rather, it seemed to be trying to get the attention of Rumple, Emma and David. Yet, David had to go and swing his sword at the monkey, potentially injuring him a great deal.

    and that’s why I don’t want it to be Neal. I don’t want this whole, “Charmings accidentally mortally wounds Neal” story.

    Plus right now, Neal  = Dorothy is running around my head
