Neal and Emma meeting up before this scene doesn’t jive with my headcanon. I’ve decided that Neal’s the one who busted Rumple out, which means that whether or not Neal himself had been held prisoner, he knows stuff about Zelena’s movements. So why would Emma be asking Rumple if he knew where Zelena was like she’s clueless, if she’s already spoken to Neal? Also, I’d think that if Emma knew Neal was around, then him being able to be near Henry, restored memories or no, would be a factor she’s considering when she’s thinking of where they’ll end up living. Neal didn’t seem to be part of her thought process in this scene, not even a, “Neal’s lived there before, his apartment is still there, so maybe he’d be OK with moving back too so that Henry could get to know him.” So I don’t think she’s made contact with him yet. I reckon when she goes off trying to chase Rumple, instead she’s gonna end up running into Neal.

Can the funeral be from one of them? bc if Emma is talking about Neal on the sp, i dont see Neal dying and henry going to the funeral thinking he was a friend of his mother.

I know Phee thinks the funeral is Little John, but a dwarf is possible. I don’t think it’s Coleman, though I did at one point because of the SQ drama way back during hiatus. I don’t know if they’d kill a dwarf. They’re pretty iconic to Snow’s story. But a random Merry Man? Yeah, them I could see offing

I don’t know. Cause Emma’s whole “not sure if I want him to remember or if I want to stay here…” deal makes me think that she doesnt want Henry to remember because she knows if he does, he’ll want to stay.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"i dont think it makes sense she saying: here`s hoping gold help him get his memories back, since she says that she didnt want henry to remenber. also they have to meet before, because according to the press release, they say that Neal just returns to SB and wants to connect with Henry, and also finds out his father is alive and is missing, that means that he must return when everyone already knows he is alive but wasnt on the cage, so cannot be him that frees rumpel, also if was him, they would be together.

i still think that emma has the same feelings about neal that she had on NVL, that means that she doesnt want him to close to her, becuase makes her feel things she doesnt want to feel again, and if now she has the excuse of having henry with no memories and a calm live in NY, she has the perfect reason to run away. She may even use the card to Neal and Regina that Henry is happy in Ny with a normal live and if they love him, is better if he doesnt remenber anything. she may even use that card with neal, saying to him, that he run away from magical world, if that isnt the live he wants to henry? this emma is like Regina on S1, doesnt want anyone to take henry away from her.

I think it’s just a case of Emma being in two minds about it all at the moment. A couple of days ago, she was all about helping Regina make the memory potion, but now she’s had a couple of days to think about things, she’s wondering if that’s what’s really best and easiest for Henry. With that context, “here’s” works, because she’s debating her options still. I think the bulk of this last half of the season will have her in two minds about that issue, unsure of what would really be best for Henry, remembering or not, and being torn because big family reunion vs safe normal life. Her figuring out what’s best for Henry is also her figuring out what’s best for herself. She’s not just trying to define “home” for herself, but for them both, and she doesn’t wanna screw it up. So is she really thinking about what’s easiest for Henry, or what’s easiest for her? We’ve seen her debate that before when she didn’t know if she should tell Neal that Henry existed or not. In the end, she can’t just take the easiest option, but it’s gonna take her several eps to realise that and gain the courage to do the right thing and take what she’s thinking might be the harder path.
I think Emma is one big hot mess of conflict right now. Her son has no memories and the ones that Emma has are of a “better” life that she actually wants back but now knows she can’t have without taking herself and her son away from their family. She’s got a missing ex whom she still loves and has just now remembered that didn’t send her to prison. She’s got a wicked Witch who is turning people into flying moneys and a mom who is about to give birth.
I think all Emma wants to do is go back to NYC with her son and play video games and live life. But she can’t. so she is torn in about 100000000000 directions and finding/seeing Neal adds t that conflict because it will reinforce in her that she never stopped loving him and that he’s a phenomenal father to her son.
