KeymasterThat was pretty much character assassination right there. It’s not like Neal has never used magic before, but he doesn’t just rush into it without properly considering it, and knowing what he does about dark magic, knowing what it did to his father, it really made him look stupid to go just go ahead and do it, no questions asked. Also, would Belle have not stayed up that night and read some more about it and discovered the whole life for a life thing? They managed to make them both look careless and dum
THIS.
You mean to tell me that Belle–BELLE–didn’t research this whole thing back then. That was all she did in this episode!!!!!! She researched all of it. You really want me to believe that she didn’t do the same thing.
And omg. The character assignation of Neal. Unnecessary.
What also aggravates me is that the good guys seem like such idiots in this episode. Pretty much all of them did ooc things or just seemed to suffer from “lack o’ brains” or even simple thinking through things.
Agreed. This whole “he died so we could learn a name!!” bull. Really Charmings? You’re that dumb now? Maybe the newbie in town knows more than you think!!!

Keymastermy friend sent adam the following question: “so this is story decided btw S2/S3? so you kill a character on S2 to bring him back on S3, to kill him again on S3?”
Yes it makes total sense
Why cut short the suspense of who Emma chooses? Do CS fans really want Emma to settle for Hook by default? Especially after Belle said the swan pendant came from Emma and Neal’s true love!
She doesn’t even get to choose!!!!!! Her choice was taken from her by magical plot death!
Editing my sig banner just now, I re-read that quote of Neal’s that I’ve got in there, and “I’ll see both of you again.” BOTH OF YOU. BOTH. So either the writers have a malicious sense of humour, or there’s gonna be a loophole and Neal will indeed see Henry again.
It’s the former. I have no hope anymore.

KeymasterBTW-Just a report on Katie since I mentioned her here last night: she’s hanging in there but I kid you not, she’s feeling the same way we all are right now, that something is off and she just can’t put her finger on it. I told her to come visit us here when she gets a chance so hopefully she does at some point. She’s hanging in there though, just like the rest of us. 🙁
Tell her to get over here

KeymasterI just read through everything in the past few pages.
I really love you guys. I feel empty and hollow this morning. I barely slept and every time I closed my eyes, I started crying.
I’m sorry. I have no hope of a magical coming back. Him coming back would mean yet more magical handwaving to make someone else die. They won’t do it. They got rid of him ‘for plot” and because for a few other reasons I’m sure.
I think the Twitter silence is just Twitter silence.
He’s gone.

KeymasterCan we just be here with each other today? I can’t bring myself to care about 316 at all.

Participantsorry I can not keep hope, I love swanfire and I love Neal but I will not wait around to season finale just to get my hopes dashed again. Been there and done that.
I hear you. I don’t have even a tenth of the hope I used to have. All I can do is cry foul at this stage. I’ll watch the show but at a distance. I am planning on cutting back here too, but it is a hard habit to break. U all have been so supportive during a horrible time when the show really derailed in my opinion. Even if Neal were miraculously resurrected it would still seem like the cruelest practical joke that I’d still call it horrible writing. The fact that this happened just before April Fool’s Day makes me feel like the fool for ever believing in hope or second chances. Way to have Emma play a role in the death of her true love! I will never again encourage anyone I know to watch this second rate show, which started out so strongly but which had gone steadily downhill until this heading collision. Even if it makes a turnaround from the brink, it will never be the same again. The writing was just too gosh darn atrocious. The death could have been handled a million times better, but the plot sucked from start to finish.

ParticipantAt this point I don’t even want Neal to come back- dont get me wrong I also want him back so badly too but I don’t want people to trivialize his death and his sacrifice

She basically killed her true love. I mean…what was that? How do you go and do that to the Savior of the show??
I just….hate all of this so much right now. Adam hasn’t said a word on Twitter and that’s bugging me. He needs to hear people out. Understand how we feel. He’s done it in the past–why not now??

KeymasterA friend just texted me out of the blue “even August got a second chance dude.. even August” #SoDone
SERIOUSLY?!!!!!!!! Even stupid turn-back-into-a-kid August gets a happy ending!!!!!!!!

ParticipantThis feels so messy, so weird. Something isn’t right. There’s zero closure. Even for people not a fan of Neal.
This is what bugs me the most right now. Where is our closure?! The fact that August of all people actually got a second chance over Neal burns me up inside. Someone high up with the show needs to say SOMETHING on Twitter today or give an interview to Matt so we can process this nightmare and move on in the grieving process.
BTW-I’m with you guys on the half wanting to have hope and half hoping they don’t bring him back because of how craptastic that would be writing wise. I plan to watch the show this weekend just to see how they handle things but after that, it will be a tough sell to get me to watch anything else even as much as I love JMo.
