Is that me, or is that a mini rumpel dagger charm? (they should do THAT as fan merchandise ๐Ÿ˜† )

Hmm on second thought , the flat one looks like jaspis, but the rounded more glassy one looks more like carnelian

In antiquity, as well as today, Carnelian is believed to help timid speakers become both eloquent and bold. [Simmons, 92] Ancient Warriors wore Carnelian around their neck for courage and physical power to conquer their enemies. In Egypt it was worn by master architects to show their rank of builder, and alchemists of the Middle Ages used it as a boiling stone to activate the energy of other Chalcedonies. As the first stone in the breastplate of the High Priest, it signified the blood of the martyrs [Kunz, 303, 305], and was once believed to prevent illness and the Plague. [Fernie, 138]

The ancient Egyptians called Carnelian “the setting sun.” In its orange hues, they identified it with the receptive or passive female energies, and associated it with the fertile menstrual blood of the mother goddess, Isis. In its red, red-orange to reddish brown shades, they considered it the active male energy stone, recognized by its glowing vibrant color. [Eason, 72, 84] Carnelian is traditionally worn to enhance passion, love, and desire.

    What can I say… Hooky is a man whore ๐Ÿ˜† ๐Ÿ˜† ๐Ÿ˜†

Carnelian also stimulates bloodflow and creates warmth, so is good for people with cold hands and feet. It’s an energy stone.

The earring could be obsidian, and that like male power stone number one. But the picture really is too unclear to tell for sure.

Have you also noticed that Hook’s little earring is changed?in a couple eps,it’s dark blue;later it’s white.

One of the pics I found from Tallahassee, it looked like maybe the earring was different, but it wasn’t really clear enough to see. When I was skimming through The Crocodile before, I did check to see if it had changed at the end, after Milah had died, but it looked the same to me at that point in time, and I also didn’t notice Milah wearing anything small and white and dangly that he may have kept and switched to at a later date.

Yes, yes they should. They’d make a killing selling those things. They could have some really cool merch for this show, but there’s nothin’.

He’s also got the earring and pendants.

One of Hook’s necklace pendants looks to be a mimi crocodile (Rumple) and the other is a skull with crossed bones (death)! He must wear them to remind him of his quest to skin a crocodile, which he very nearly succeed in doing!

He’s wearing that right from the beginning though, from when he first met mortal Rumple, so it’s not a crocodile. I love his little skull and cross bones.

    Heck… WE WANT A MINI RUMPEL DAGGER CHARM ๐Ÿ˜† ๐Ÿ˜† ๐Ÿ˜†

Something just crossed my mind. Gold’s ring is a poison ring. Yeah, would be so like him, wouldn’t it. Now what is a poison ring, do you ask? It’s a ring with a secret compartment, usually under the stone… just enough room for a bit of poison.

    Like:
I wonder what Gold is keeping in it, but I sure hope it kills Cora.

And I forgot about a very import ring… Snow’s Twue Wuve ring
Now I think it is supposed to be an emerald (though I tell you it looks more like Olivine/Peridot to me… it’s cheaper. THe difference is a yellow green instead of a blue green… but then again, cheaper emeralds are more yellow too)
    Anyways:

Emerald is known as the โ€œstone of successful loveโ€. It brings loyalty and provides for domestic bliss. It enhances unconditional love, unity and promotes friendship. Keeps partnerships in balance and can signal unfaithfulness if it changes colour. Emerald stimulates the heart chakra, having a healing effect on the emotions as well as the physical heart. It ensures physical, emotional and mental equilibrium, bringing harmony to all areas of ones life. Focusing intention and raising consciousness, it brings in positive actions, eliminating negativity and enhancing the ability to enjoy life to the fullest.

Emerald enhances psychic abilities, opens clairvoyance, and stimulates the use of greater mental capacity. It helps bring awareness of the unknown to conscious recognition, imparting reason and wisdom. Emerald assists in inciting activity and focus in ones actions. It strengthens memory and imparts clarity of thought. It inspires a deep inner knowing, promoting truth and discernment.

Sounds more befitting than a stone that words off negativity and helps you stand on your own two feet (Olivine/peridot) doesn’t it?

I think by now it is safe to say the costume department has a book on gemstone theory laying around ๐Ÿ˜†

I’ve always thought that Snow’s ring looked like peridot. Would David’s poor family have been able to afford an emerald?

I completely agree with you, Phee. The stone does look like peridot (and olivine is just another name for it in case some of you are wondering). But they are also called evening emeralds and also the emerald spectrum does vary a bit. The really expensive ones are a dark blue green though. So this would be the cheap version ๐Ÿ˜† If you google it, you come across a range of colors, some even opaque (which is more like emerald waste product, and NOT emerald at all)… Hey, maybe it was GOLD magic that turned it yellowish ๐Ÿ˜†

In “The Outsider” his earring is white, and I think it’s white in “Queen of Hearts,”in both present and back story….I think
