I’ve gotta say, I definitely think something is going on behind the scenes at ABC with ONCE. Besides the fact that there has been barely any promotion for it’s return, it’s now safe to say that we definitely aren’t even getting a recap special before it’s return. This is the first time since Season 2 that we haven’t gotten one and being the 100th episode, you’d think that it’d be the one that makes the most sense to air a special before hand.
Matt and I have been talking about this quite a bit as well. We’re not sure what it means. We both still think that we’re getting a season 6 but that it is being made clear that it’s the final seasons and I’m starting to wonder it’s not going to be an abbreviated one. With that said the lack of 100th episode promotion is *strange.*

I would be happy with an abbreviated one honestly. Keep it shorter, concise. And finish it strong.

March 3, 2016 at 3:23 pm #317960MatthewPaulModeratorQuantico and Fresh off the Boat also just got renewed. This makes Quantico the first non OUAT Sunday show to get renewed for a 2nd Season since Resurrection:

March 4, 2016 at 11:18 am #318032MatthewPaulModeratorThe Family, which had its special night premiere last night, got a 1.5. That’s low for a premiere, but a little higher than what OUAT and Quantico got for their most recent episodes. We shall truly see how it does in comparison to OUAT and Quantico this Sunday.

I’m sure they are hoping that OUAT will give it a nice lead-in boost but given that OUAT is already on the low end of the spectrum, I’m not confident that their plan is going to work.
Speaking of….predictions for 5×12 premiere? Normally I’d say we’d jump .1 or .2 (giving us a 1.5 at most which would be a good way to start off) but this year there’s a few things to take into consideration, not the least of which is that ABC has done a poor job of promoting the 100th episode. Also, 5A was the first time we didn’t rise in the demo after a hiatus. That trend could very well continue. I don’t think we’re going to fall below a 1.3.
So my prediction: 1.4—a slight uptick in the demo but nothing to write home about.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"March 4, 2016 at 11:35 am #318038MatthewPaulModeratorI’m predicting a 1.5, or maybe a 1.6 at the absolute most. Won’t be surprised if it does lower or matches “Swan Song” either, considering how “The Dark Swan” didn’t get a ratings boost following the Season 4 finale.
March 7, 2016 at 11:28 am #318232MatthewPaulModeratorInitial ratings are in. We tied our series low with a 1.3 and 4 million viewers. Ouch, this is what happens when you do so little on air promotion, ABC. Also ouch at Sunday night as a whole. The real test will be how fast and how much we go down from here:

yeah, bc even with no promotion, i think they were only trying to keep viewers, they knew thwy would not be able to bring new ones, but there was a lot of media buzz about characters returning, many people said that would bring viewers( although have to wait to see if goes up), but if these numbers are up bc of those characters, means that the real test starts next week, that is also the day NBC starts a new variety kids show for all family at the same hour than ouat, i know is not a script tv show, but may do some damage even of thousands in the viewers.
"I offended you with my opinion? Ha, you should hear the ones I keep to myself".

8 p.m. Once Upon a Time (ABC) 1.3/4 demo 18-49 4.00 Million
.
.
“Once Upon a Time” began the second half of its season with a 1.3 rating in adults 18-49, even with its last original episode but tying its season and series low. “Quantico” (1.1) returned two tenths lower than its fall finale, and “The Family’s” Sunday debut managed only a 0.8, the same as the last episode of the canceled “Blood & Oil.”
