Well I don’t think they ARE the Dharma Initiative because I don’t think A and E will pull in that much of a LOST reference. I think the Home Office is its own entity. I do think they will be the big bad for at least S3. I don’t know about beyond that. The Dharma Initiative was around for most of LOST, if only as background toward the end so it’s possible that the Home Office will never fully go away.

I wonder that too…and I threw out speculation that maybe Jefferson had crossed paths with the HO before. Maybe it could be his wife–that way we could see a picture of Grace & Jefferson on her desk even if we have never seen the actress before playing the unseen Boss.

Hahaha, I amused myself with that thought just a few days ago! Wouldn’t pretty everyone’s brain explodes with a bunch of W.T.F.s if the Island was revealed to be Neverland? 😆
Well I didn’t mean that the home office was THE Dharma Initiative. Just a parallel or similar. Never crossed my mind to mix OUAT and LOST. I was trying to draw parallels or similarities.
Demileto – I think that is a wonderful idea! And all the OUAT actors that were on Lost could have a deja vu moment ‘Like this looks familiar”.

I’ve been speculating for awhile now that one of the heads of the Home Office, if not the current head, was Dorothy. There have been many Oz references his season and I think it makes sense if Dorothy’s time in Oz was more negative.

Well here’s some timeline goodness for you then RG. We know that around the time that Jefferson was getting Frankenstein to help con Regina (who was just becoming the queen so may 10 years pre-curse…) Jefferson was bringing Rumple stuff from Oz because Rumple asked about the slippers but they had already been used by the time he got there….so maybe a late 20s / early 30s at most Dorothy! (Depending on how old they make her when she goes to Oz but still…totally plausible she’s still around and fairly young).

Lately, every time someone says the word timeline, I cry.
So yes, we know Dorothy (we assume its Dorothy) was in Oz about 7-10 years before the Curse because Regina was slowly learning magic and hadn’t become “the Evil Queen” yet. Add another 28 years for the actual Curse and that’s about 38 years, roughly. If Dorothy was about 15 when she went through, 53 now. Granted, rather old for our traditional tale of Dorothy. But old enough that she could have been working for the Home Office since she came back from Oz and moved up in it. And if they show Dorothy’s background maybe end of S3 to S4 they could cast a younger version for her actual adventure in Oz. I’d really like it if the next land we saw/went to was Oz.

RG you’re right, I keep forgetting she probably wasn’t under the 28 year freeze like everyone else but she should still be alive and I could totally see her connected to all of it.
