@PriceOfMagic I agree with you i would like to see Neal find true love with someone else and his dead was unnecessary, not heoric at all ( yes his last act was selfless but when you put the whole story together it wasn’t heroic ) and the story of his dead was just stupid they can write it better than that. But it wasn’t CS fault that he is dead no reason to be rude on CS shippers or hating on Hook. When i first started to watch ONCE i was shipping Graham and Emma when he died i was so sad but i didn’t make rude comments about writers or other characters cause it was just fiction. And i to be objective even if Neal lived A&Ei dont think they would have re-kindle SF’s relationship after all. So from my point of view Neal’s dead wasn’t about Hook and Emma but it was about Rumple’s choices and how his actions will effect his relationship with Belle. Neal was actually a part of Rumple’s story not Emma’s writters didn’t create him for Emma they created him for Rumple. And am i the only one who loves both Hook and Rumple( not a hardcore fan but still love the character and I REALLY LOVE Robert Carlyle) i see both perspective’s of their history and i think they are both right. Rumple was angry because his wife left him and his son because of Hook which makes perfect sense for him to seek revenge and Hook was angry because Rumple murdered his first and true love. So i think Rumple and Hook fans should understand each other more because Milah was the cornerstone of them becoming villain.Hook became rebelle and a thief whatever you say after his brother’s dead but him becoming a villain is because of Milah i think she was a bad influence on him and instead of making him a better person she made him even a worse and she getting killed didn’t help either. And for Rumple he started to became weak after his father left and humiliated after the war but Milah was the reason he became villain because she left him for another man and humiliated him by leaving him and their son.That’s why it is not hard for those fans to develop empathy with each other and yeah i basically hate Milah ( thank god she is dead)

On this ‘you only like him cos he’s hot’ argument. Well duh, of course I like him because he’s hot. He is stunning and those eyes! *fans self* Capt Hook is supposed to be ‘the most handsome man ever’, that’s part of why he’s a successful pirate. He uses those looks all the time to his advantage (he’d be silly not to) But his looks aren’t the reason he should be with Emma. If I’m honest he’s the reason I kept watching season 2. I had the hope he would continue being the playful pirate he was in Tallahassee (which I think he has returned to, esp after the last episode) He and Emma play off against each other so well.
There’s a difference in appreciating someone who is aesthetically pleasing and liking them as a person/character. For example, (since Draco was mentioned earlier) I love the actor Jason Isaacs (I find him quite easy on the eye), but his Lucius Malfoy is a horrible awful man and no amount of good looks would ever endear him to me. I enjoy watching him getting his comeuppance.
Hook was similar. I didn’t like him when he was working with Cora, good looks or not. And he deserved to be hit by a car. But I’m not allowed to appreciate said good looks? 😉

Let’s be honest here for a moment, in general when a male and a female first meet each other for the first time, one of they key things both sexes look at first is how attractive they perceive the other person.
Then usually what happens after is that man and woman get to know each other and both party’s judge whether this person is worth pursuing or not.
I mean, the first time I saw my current boyfriend, I thought he was cute. I did find it very ironic that he has a beard considering how much young Obi-Wan Kenobi fan fiction I’d written where I love talking about Obi’s scruff. I just do.
But like it or not but physical attractiveness still plays a factor when it comes to relationships, so I find it very hypocritical for SwanFire fans to say we love Hook only because he is hot when I see Neal fan girls gushing over how hot Michael is.
Personally, I don’t think he is very attractive myself. But everyone has different sexy standards when it comes to men.

You know what I just realized, watching that? Both Emma and Killian outrun curses this past season using their vessels.

Still hoping the introduction of Elsa isn’t a stumbling block. I know kids are wildly thrilled with Frozen and Elsa but I also think that come fall, those kids won’t be a factor to the show regarding ratings. I hope so anyway. Though kids today are quite used to all kind of violence, we really don’t need the story telling skewed to a younger group.
One of the pluses has been A&E’s ability to make OUAT a good blend of adult wit, snark and appeal while still attracting a mature but old fashioned child-like magic believing audience. The Disney influence has helped keep down the gore factor (thank you very much!) so that more emphasis is placed on dialogue and emoting abilities of the cast. The relationships have been PG though still titilating because of the talent of the actors and snippets of sexuality/innuendo allowed. Heavy on the angst while avoiding the stagnant, plodding,brain dead nothingness of soap opera drudgery, the speed of the plot lines keeps things lively. All these things are what keeps the show special inspite of desperate rants of OOC and “it’s a PLOT DEVICE”. I would hate to see that change because they have to keep Elsa Disney-sweet to appease G rated controls.
The Dark One and the villain mentality save the show from being flatline corney, sugar coated dreck.
Without a clear cut villain yet it MAY go down a very different path away from the established attitude.
I guess I just really want Elsa to be bipolar, edgy wicked and not just “misunderstood” . I don’t want the craziness that is OUAT dictated by a Fru Fru Disney cartoon.

Emma has seemingly found happiness deciding to stay in Storybrooke and be with Hook, but happiness never lasts long on this show. Should we expect her world to get quickly turned upside down?

It would be a lot easier for me and Adam to just write Emma and Hook go out to dinner, then come home and decide whether or not to watch Orphan Black or catch up on Game of Thrones. It would be a great hour. We’re hoping there’s some drama and crisis next year.Will you be exploring more of what it’s like for Emma to be in this relationship with Hook?

Horowitz: What we saw in the finale was the beginning of something, which could go in many different ways and many different avenues down which they could go. It’s not like they’re going to suddenly go to order Chinese and watch Netflix.
