Wellll, Jennifer didn’t say anything that Hook/Emma aficionados haven’t already seen, embraced and celebrated since the Beanstalk 😉 We knew it, we got it, it was alllll good even with the angst(grin). The minefield that “is/was other-character-fans’ personal re-writes and projections of their own fantasy and not A&E’s story” has mostly been deactivated/deadened over time.  We, as fans, don’t have the privilege of edits or re-writes. The planned Once tale is what ultimately unfolded. While it is always Adam and Eddie’s story, not ours, thankfully, it turned out very favorably for the fiercely Romantic Hooksters and Swanites  among us!

Fortunately, I didn’t see or read the Monte Carlo hate, so I am not sure what Morrison had to deal with (except that it had to be typically moronic and immature) but I am glad she is allowing herself to be happy about her Buttercup moment! She knows her character far better than any of us ever will, but even she can still be pleasantly surprised about how her script life will unfold. She got to smile, among other things (hubba hubba)

There is so much more to look forward to with these two. They have the potential to be much edgier, complex and (if they let it flow) more sensual than any other canon couples so far.

That is nice what JMo said about CaptainSwan and Hook.

All magic comes with a price!

The Monte Carlo, thing, in a nutshell was Jennifer saying Neal betrayed her too much for Emma to get back together with him had he lived.  So…you know, same old same old.  Some people can’t stand the ‘no spoilers’ but people also can’t stand hearing the truth….and think it’s acceptable to be rude to the creators/writers of whatever they claim to be a ‘fan’ of.  Jennifer ended up making a post on her FB not standing down but apologizing that some people were upset by her comments.  So…same old, same old.  But enough of the hating!

Hallelujah!  I think this is my favorite quote from the OZ CC yet.  Well, either that or the playground one…how totally true!  haha.  But seriously, I don’t understand how people didn’t see this.  Have they never been in a relationship where they were scared out of their minds and pushed the other person away?  Have they never felt terrified of something and so they said something that may even be borderline cruel, and then mentally asked yourself what you’re doing but are still unable to apologize?  This is human nature.  And as hurtful as it was to see Emma lash out and push away like she’s done, it’s refreshing because it’s so relatable.  Emma has gone from being so jaded and having such high walls, and not easy to understand, to someone you can actually see some of yourself in.  Which I love, and I feel like I can finally understand.

Thanks for the explanation, Jenna. 🙂 Jennifer was absolutely right in her original statement. And you were right in your comments about it!

    I.E. Emma *shunning* Hook:

Being exactly that kind of head case when it comes to the relationships that threaten my control freak, vulnerability tendencies of the heart, I TOTALLY empathize with our stoic Emma-gal. It was perfectly clear (grin). I guess there has to be a portion of the human race who are blind to that way of love…yin yang, balance, peace, love, dopey hope, eternal cosmic wisdom and all that lovely karmic stuff, yeah yeah yeah…but they DO seem to miss the obvious point, don’t they (wink)?

Letting someone in is much riskier/harder than holding them out. That kind of potential soul power is very frightening.

It was also why I got so frustrated and wanted someone to kick Emma’s wall clinging butt to the EF and back ! I also know that when you finally accept and willingly embrace that power, the rewards are …oh…so…grand !!

Is it weird that I kind of hope our ship is the comedic relief in S4?  Haha, like, I just really want to see Hook as he eases further into SB society and the two of them trying to navigate their relationship – so much potential for them to be the fun story that lightens the show when it gets too dark.  If you’ve seen Sleepy Hollow, that’s exactly what I’d love with CS – although a comparison to Sleep Hollow and Ichabod’s fight with the 21st century is a pretty tough request (it’s perfection).

Although…I wonder how dark it will get S4A if Elsa’s misunderstood and not necessarily evil…personally, I’d love it if they take a somewhat lighter approach to the season…have the drama but it doesn’t have to necessarily be life threatening.

I second your hope :), Jenna!

Hook and Emma have always had great little comic moments among the more emotionally sensational ones. That is what a great couple does (la la la) laugh, cry, butt heads, kick butts, protect, defend, comfort, tease… and smooch very well.

A&E’s saving grace has always been their moments of brilliant wit.

Elsa is going to be intriguing, if nothing else. They keep saying she is misunderstood, but, she took the gloves off!…someone is going to have to be given the deep freeze somewhere along the line! And think of all the snow machines they will need in summertime Vancouver (grin)

Colin would certainly be one sex-y Han Solo if they ever decided to remake the Star Wars movies.

I can see why the poster put a warning on the “pro-CS” stuff because, especially after Monte Carlo when JMo got those hateful comments from certain fans, you don’t want positive stuff brought down by hateful comments from haters. If you don’t like CS and you know it’s going to be pro CS, don’t read, simple as, then the haters can’t say they weren’t warned.

But I do agree that you shouldn’t have to put warnings on positive stuff, however I think anything relating to the CSF triangle is a special case because fans got extremely passionate for the guy they wanted Emma to end up with to the point that no matter what the other guy does, he’d always be public enemy number one.

& that would be fine if “warning” labels also got slapped on pro SF links, but they dont seem to be, which IMO just increases hostility between the ships rather than helping to improve them- IMO a simple statement of “here’s a pro CS ship link” would have been fine (if you are anti CS, then you cant say you didnt know it was “pro CS” since it is labeled as such)- but saying “Warning, this is a Pro CS link” fosters the message that CS is “bad” & just drags out the animosity between ships IMO.

    Agreed 🙂

Again, Agreed- I too understand all to well where Emma was coming from, but at the very end did also get a little frustrated with her wall clinging- both with Killian & leaving SB, as well 😉

Haha, nope not weird (although Sleepy Hollow would be very hard to live up to in that respect), but I’m kind of hoping for a Henry trying to teach Killian how to play some fantasy RPG on Xbox or something lol 😛 I’d also like to see Killian’s reaction to coffee makers & PC’s etc. 😉
