I’ve seen complaints from some SFers/Neal fans that Rumple drinking the forgetting potion was OOC but Screwball explains it so that it is clear that it made total sense for Rumple to drink the potion.

Some people thought Rumple drinking the forgetting potion was out-of-character, but I don’t agree because after the whole Seer 1.0 debacle Rumple knows he can’t trust whatever “flashes” of the future he sees. If Rumple takes the potion, knows his future has the following features:
1.He’s alive
2.He finds his son
3.His son forgives him
4.He gets some hot hot imp-on-maid action with Belle
5.His son dies— but he dies a hero

If Rumple DOESN’T take the potion in an effort to avoid No. 5, he could screw up Nos. 1-4— with realm-changing consequences. He could die, he could NEVER find his son, he could find his son who never forgives him, he could never be with Belle, and finally his son could STILL die, but this time as a reviled coward. No, there’s too much at risk— better to take the potion and try to avoid No. 5 a different way. Plus, Emma’s given Rumple insufficient knowledge of how exactly to avoid Neal’s death in the future— not that that’s Emma’s fault, given both the time constraints (har!) and her desire not to violate the Prime Directive.

I’ve been thinking for the past few days, I wonder if Killian and Elsa get a bit of screentime together As some early bts phots show [\spoiler] will Emma get jealous? I mean Elsa is blonde, beautiful, powerful with magic she can’t control. Sound like someone? And seeing the promo of Killian checking out Elsa as she walks past, perhaps Emma may see her as a rival. Especially if Elsa is nice to Killian and Emma has been keeping him at arm’s length. I don’t want *another* triangle, urgh and I don’t believe Elsa will be paried with anyone on OUAT (Frozen creators should handle that if it ever comes up) But Emma was jealous of Tink when she spied her and Killian coming out of Granny’s together. And Emma knows that she herself is ‘Hook’s type’ and Elsa seems very similar to Emma. 😉

I was reminded this morning scrolling through my tumblr posts why our ‘ship and my fellow ‘shipmates are awesome.

We can take a gif set comparing Neal and Killian and write an insanely huge meta about why Killian is Emma’s person. [x]

And more importantly, create a blog dedicated to counting down the days until Captain Swan ‘Taco Time.’ [x]

I mean, you can find pretty much any kind of blog on tumblr but that last one is just full of awesome.

To me, that could be interpreted in 2 ways:

1) Nudge nudge hint hint.

2) As a general “you never know which character’s backstory we’ll see next”.

However, considering said character is dead on the show, why the whole “As for Felix stay tuned” when Felix is dead and all signs point to events having nothing to do with Felix? The original question specifically asked about Tinkerbell and Felix backstories, not just living characters in general so…….I don’t know.

Hi, Everybody! It’s been a while since I’ve been around, hasn’t it? I’m so sorry I’ve been absent, but these days our lives are governed by a 16-month old (in a very good way, of course 🙂 )

As was posted in Tumblr, I agree there was definitely a dry period for Rumbelle fans there for a while, so although I am happy these fans have something to celebrate upon new info, as a Hook fan, I am starting to feel a little neglected.

There has been no information at all, about Captain Hook in any way, since we had our collective tounges hanging out in excitement over Hook’s new wardrobe in early August. That was then though, and this is now. Since then, we are sadly now the fan block wandering an information desert. It makes me both sad, and it makes me nervous. It makes me sad, for fans whose loyalty to a show is seemingly for the moment, unappreciated, and unrewarded. It makes me nervous of course, as my mind can’t help but explore all possible scenarios as to why our favorite actor and character are not being discussed.

It is for all these reasons, why I am asking my fellow fandom to join me in a twitter campaign to ask for new Hook/Killian and/or Captain Swan information. When doing so, I would tag #OUAT #Hookers and #Captainswan in your post. In addition, I would address a request for new information to @Adamhorowitzla (Adam Horowitz), @onceabc, @ABC_Publicity, and @colinodonoghue1 (Colin O’Donoghue doesn’t make any of these decisions, however his inclusion will offer more visibility).

Thanks in advance, to all my fellow fandom who participate in this very short, however hopefully effective project.

I know not getting new info is probably frustrating but when it comes to season four, there are some things I want to be surprised about.  We get a new title every two weeks now, I think.  The media won’t really kick into full gear until premiere week.  That’s when we usually get bombarded with so many spoilers many of us will probably be glued to what’s going in the forum here.

We’re almost there.  I’m doing an OUAT countdown on my tumblr and we’re at day 23 now.  The wait is almost over.

I think once we start demanding stuff, things could get ugly.  Twitter trends are fine but the show doesn’t exclusively exist for our ‘ship too.

I am afraid I may not have been very efficient with my words, when stating my case within that tumblr post.

I hate to sound too kumbaya, but as people, we all have a responsibility to eachother. Why do I believe that? It is because of my beliefs, that I know everything we do should be done unselfishly, and in love (1 Corinthians 16:14, Philippians 2:3). No, I am not posting to “demand” anything. I am however, “requesting” information upon the occasion of bringing attention to the absence of such in service to others who share the same appreciation for information such as this, and what some may not realize it can do for someone to improve their day.

You’re right. The fandom does not revolve around Captain Swan. I know all the fans have value. I agree with that completely. It is with appreciation for that value; of individuals, not fan blocks, that I believe that there are others who like me, have a sincere desire for something about their favorite actor/character. In some cases, some people may need a good “cheer-me-up”. In others, it may be for another reason. Whatever the reason, these are people, and while the world does not revolve around the fans, it does not do so around the show creators, actors, or netowork either.

What am I asking for? I’m asking for two things from not just here, but from the entire fandom: I want to see more unselfishness. I want to see more empathy, and I want to see more of this not just from the fans, but from those associated with this show at ABC. It is becuase of the “me, me, me-ism” that we have shipping wars, at all. It is because of that, for some people feeling unappreciated, neglected, or even hated….by people associated with a tv show. Some people get too much of that in their own lives. Why add to it? Why can’t some people stop for a second and think about how what they can do, if even sometimes uncomfortable for them, can be a life-changing blessing for somebody else.

Sorry for the rant which takes things off topic, but it tears my heart out to see how some people are treated. Not just by fellow fans, but in some cases, even by actors. Truthfully, that’s why I’ve been away for so long. It breaks my heart, and I’ve just seen too much negativity from the decisions people make, and their careless regard for other people. I think it’s time for that to change.

Obisgirl, please understand this wasn’t directed at you. I’m sorry. This was just me getting stuff off my chest.

Honestly, I have to say I’ve been pretty pleased with the spoilers we’ve gotten.  During the winter hiatus, I ended up feeling ‘too spoiled’…nothing in the first few episodes of 3B were particularly surprising due to the amount of spoilers we got.  Hook/Colin/CS isn’t going anywhere.  ABC spends millions on promotion (although sometimes their materials look more like a 5 year old playing with photoshop…).  They used, arguably, the most popular CS photo there is to begin their fall promotion on FB.  Hook had the biggest pic (by far!) in the ‘Men of ABC’ poster – even though it was technically introducing one if their new shows!  They broke up the hiatus with an entire CS week.  They didn’t do that with SF since the plan was to kill off one of the pair and they don’t do that with SQ because it’s fanon.  We can assume, with what we’ve gotten in the early August/SDCC spoilers that Hook gets a wardrobe change, CS goes on a date(!), Hook and Will aren’t going to be besties anytime soon, and Hook gets his hand back(?!), and Hook/Elsa share a decent amount of screentime together.  I don’t know that I want much more, to be honest.

I do agree that it would be nice to see the various ships and factions of the fandom spew less hate.  I think we’re fairly moderate here – even with our recent griping.  Tumblr and other sites can be downright vicious.  Seriously, if I see one more thing about ‘rape culture’ or ‘abuse’ I might lose it – those are some extremely serious topics and I personally don’t feel they can or should be applied to a show like OUAT.  But unfortunately, I also don’t know that there is a way to change it.  The fandom is enormous and like any huge group, you’re going to have people that are septic and should really consider pulling up a seat in the shrink’s office.  But when you focus on the good, embracing the fandom can be a lot of fun.  So I think it has to be each person’s choice – engage in the negativity or attempt to shield yourself from it as much as possible.

I’ve been delighted with the info we have already received 🙂 Now the anticipation can build.

I don’t feel at all neglected and would be happy not getting anything else  Hook specific until premiere week. The fandom goes overboard with spoilers anyway ( and I am addicted to them far too readily).

The entire social media is but a small fraction of the  total fandom and I am pretty much in the camp of letting the creators create and leaving them alone to do their job the way they want.

For me, it is all good as it is.  A certain absence always makes my heart grow fonder.
