ParticipantNot sure if this has been posted here or not yet (it’s dated the 16th…):
Q) What will Emma and Hook’s dating life be like on Once Upon a Time? — Val.
A) The good news: The producers are going to let them go out somewhere other than Granny’s Diner. The bad news: “It’s going to be tricky for the two of them,” executive producer Adam Horowitz says. “Just because we saw their feelings reach a new level at the end of last season doesn’t mean that that’s the end of the story.” And Emma may be the problem. “Emma is obviously a person who has a tough time trusting people and letting her guard down,” executive producer Edward Kitsis says. “Sometimes you may feel something for somebody but your feelings hold you back.”

ParticipantNot CS related, but thought it worth the share- since there’s so much general Once negativity what with this site being heavy on the sour grapes train over story direction.
ABC’s Once Upon A Time is consistently one of SpoilerTV’s most popular series. IMDb users also rate it, with 117,907 ratings equating to an 8.1 average. Once Upon A Time has been on the air for three seasons, and its last season saw a strong increase in its episode ratings, with the season finale garnering the highest episode rating yet, a 9.5 averaged from 855 votes. All of its premieres and finales sit higher than their respective season trendlines too.

The IMDB stats seem to telly quite nicely with the actual viewer/rating numbers in this case.
It drives me nuts when I see people harping on about how S3 had lower ratings than S2- bollocks! S3’s later eps (after Neal’s death- from memory), were that time slots & day’s most watched show for 3weeks in a row & rated higher over all across the season. As far as viewership & ratings goes, S3 has been the strongest yet- hardly the downward decline those with sour grapes want to believe it was :/Needed to get that off my chest- sorry. Rant over 🙂

I keep seeing those tweets in my twitter feed and has me curious what this big surprise might be. It’s definitely Once related but seriously, it could be anything. If it’s not CS related, that’s okay. I’m happy for any kind of spoiler at this point.
Edit: It’s Win a Trip to Storybrooke!! Details are here.

Yes on the chart! On the more populous and expansive Internet sites, ONCE is enjoying a very healthy fandom that is excited for the approaching new season. Specific to our group(ies) here, Captain Swan has always been very popular and continues to grow. Rumplestiltskin still enjoys quite the cult following and Regina is still a passionate Goddess. The lifeblood of a series is the general public who tune in. ONCE remains quite healthy. The vast majority of fans don’t analyze like we of the Internet Boggling communities do. They just tune in and enjoy the creative ride.
The introduction of the Frozen story line may have been a stroke of brilliance after all. Here’s hoping a lot of the posters who flocked away due to *everything ONCE* negativity in many other threads here, come back when we get on with the story and the adventures as Adam and Eddie want to tell them.
Outside the thimble of Internet fan forums, the general public still calls the shots. And they are positive and excited.
As far as Happy Domesticated downtime, I prefer that Hook and Emma go on a dozen rip roaring adventures as the Dynamic Duo of Storybrooke and Beyond that test their love, their commitment and our patience! Drama is…well drama. I like them lusty and sassy… and super connected 🙂

While that is definitely nice to see, those aren’t what people are usually referring to when they mention “the ratings”, the ones that keep a show on the air–those would be the Neilsen ratings. As far as that goes, there was a definite drop between seasons one and two, but in general two and three were about the same…the average actual numbers dropped a little, but its overall ranking went up.
It was also really encouraging to see it on the cover of TV Guide this week though–I just hope they do an amazing job with the Frozen stuff since it’s getting so much attention. Also fun for us to note, of course–a lovely CS picture was the only non-Frozen-related picture in that TV Guide article. 😉

Interesting you say that, as Adam specially tweeted high Neilsen? ratings a number of times during S3 with the messages like ‘the rating is in ‘& ep** is seasons highest yet- Thanks for watching’, ‘best ratings Once has seen yet- Thanks for watching’ or ‘Series high numbers- Thanks for watching’ etc. & from what I remember when the Dvr? (or whatever the ‘recorded to watch later’ numbers are called), were added into the stats, Once skyrocketed up the ratings- Once also sat in the top 20 most watched shows for weeks on end (wish I hadnt deleted all the info & stats I had on it!)
We also have to take into consideration TV viewership across the board declined drastically, so at 1st while some of the numbers may appear lower than last yr, statistically they are actually higher:)

Agreed & Oh how to be a sane ‘general audience’ member- there wasn’t much hope for me with Once lol, I got very excited just by the trailers LOL 😛 But who wouldnt want to analyze the leather right off of our Pirate or Swan or both I ask?! 😉 😉 😉

I think so, I mean POM posted the screwballninja meta on how Frozen isnt just “cashing in” like some of the septic moaners want us to believe, I liked how she said something along the lines of ‘Why is it ok for A&E to use FT from the 80s & 90s, but not recent ones’. I say bring on Frozen & I seriously hope they do Brave as well 😉
