Just saw the sponsored Once add for tonight (well thats tomorrow arvo for me lol) & I’m already in love with Emma & Elsa’s friendship!

In regard to the haters….seriously, it just makes me amused now. You either like the characters you like, or you don’t. I don’t really DISlike any of the characters, so I have no idea what it’s like to get so ridiculously up in arms about a character you hate…but why one would put the amount of energy into reinforcing negativity in their own lives and push it upon others makes zero sense to me. I am by no means Miss Constant-Happy-Camper myself, but I don’t wallow in, and push my negativity onto others.
In regard to being able to sway other people’s opinions on characters – I think you can but the person has to be open to it. During the winter hiatus I was intrigued by hardcore Neal fans and what made them like his character the way I love our pirate. I didn’t dislike Neal, but I couldn’t connect with him. So I did ask questions, made sure it was understood I was asking for my own understanding and it was not an attempt to start any kind of war or anything. And I got some really good feedback. It definitely helped my understanding of Neal and made me really want to see his story in regard to how it related to Rumple and Henry (I’ve always thought his relationship with Emma was too far destroyed to fix, but amicable co-parenting/something akin to friendship was possible…but that’s it!)

It is 14 hours until I will be able to watch the season 4 premiere of Once here on my computer (if I can hopefully find a link that works). Work is going to drag so much tomorrow between 3pm and 6pm. I can’t wait to watch Once!
I think fans can influence people’s liking of characters for better or for worse. As Jenna said, fans can give perspectives and help people to understand a character’s motives better or fans can go so OTT that it can actually turn people off of characters.
so apparently Charming wonders whether it would’ve been better to call baby Neal Baelfire instead IMO that would’ve been even worse and would be a cruel kick in the teeth to Rumple and a constant reminder that his son is dead. Why are Snowing so insensitive to those around them?
So Hook. I am cautiously optimistic for Hook in season 4. I know his rivalry with Rumple is meant to kick up again and it would appear he is the one blackmailing Rumple So long as it is about Elsa and the urn instead of Belle and the dagger, I’m good. I just don’t want him interfering with RumBelle or causing them problems, I definitely don’t want him going back to season 2 Hook. I liked Hook in 3B, I actually liked him and was rooting for him, I don’t want him to screw it up now.
I think Emma could be the one to accidentally hurt Hook with her magic. It would parallel Frozen where Elsa accidentally froze Anna’s heart. I don’t think we’ll get a CS TLK yet, that seems like a final season thing for Emma, but we may see a different act of true love. I wonder if the act of true love might come from Elsa or Emma since friendship was introduced as counting as love by Panix in 3A. It’s too soon for Emma to accept Hook as her true love and end game so they need to do it where there are no definite signs such as TLK, then Emma realising that Hook is “the one” in the final season. Or A&E could be total trolls and introduce yet another love interest for Emma since a lot of Emma’s and Regina’s love interests don’t last long (Watch out Hook and Robin LOL)
I think Hook will get the JR back eventually. Whilst it may seem romantic that Hook has given up everything for Emma, at the same time Hook has given up everything for Emma and done all the work without getting the same level of affection and devotion back from Emma. I’m not saying Emma has to throw herself at Hook or that since Hook gave up A for her, Emma has to give up B for him to “prove her love”, but at the moment Hook and Emma are on an uneven keel

Seems there are Canadian copies all over the Internet being leaked but this time, I resist. I want the visuals, at least, to be fresh!
The one thing I really DON’T like about Once is that when it is over, it is even later Sunday night and dreaded Monday morning comes too soon after! No lazzzzzy sleep in.
Being in the same time slot as the Wonderful World of Disney was when I was a little girl just reminds me of how sad I would get back then when the weekend was truly over and a very early “wake up/catch the school bus” hour loomed the next morning! But it left me with very controlling fairy dust and fantasy happy ending pablum in my head when I went to sleep.
Never underestimate the power of the time-slot to the Disney mind control empire!!
Fans can influence others-to a point-either way, absolutely. But core fandom is still a very individual thing. You are hardwired to like certain character types more than others.
I think the dynamic of “influence” we see in the written Internet form is more about addressing personal needs and liking (or disliking) the individuals doing the posting. It can be wanting to find camaraderie, like-minded enjoyment and positive acceptance on one end to becoming part of a thug-like, gang mentality “sheep” herd of malcontents on the other…with everything in between. Offense/Defense, Secure/Insecure, Mature/Immature,Denial/Embracing, Stubborn/Malleable. Blah blah blah/blah blah blah (smile).
Being a “fan” (a rather misused term for certain types of posters) in some instances gets lost in the power struggles and is just used as a catalyst to practice whatever your personality seeks.
Character loyalty has a lot less to do with the actual characters than it does the character of the individuals displaying the “loyalty”.

Hook should get his ship back in some form 🙂 and always keep the guyliner. And true love or not, let the sexy sultry sass thrive in his luscious, lusty soul. He is the smoldering heartthrob of ONCE.
Emma and Elsa friendship should be massive fun. Two kick butt powerhouses. Emma backstory could be quite telling…or a repeat of wall building angst. Magic may have already had a huge price for her. Let her laughter and lust glow. (she also has ground to make up for affection-wise for her treatment of Hook! Let it GLOW with him, please 😉 )
The Little Prince should get his own nickname…FAST. We don’t need to have constant, maudlin reminders of Neal or Baelfire.
Snow should regain her mind and spirit and lose the DUH.
David should keep the sword very handy, he needs his manly persona close by!
Rumple should never, EVER be put in that particular iconic costume again. Nope. And Belle should have the edgy intelligence and wit to make him do amusingly witty things in penance if she regains control of the real dagger. But she probably won’t. It’s the Pure Haaaaht syndrome. But at least get mad at Him for three minutes.( though on the plus side it could make things safer for Hook!)
The Regina/Robin/ Marian thing should be…heck, I still don’t know. Impossible messing-with-icons corner they have written themselves into. Robin should be with Marian. Regina should find someone to love…Robin should…go hide in Sherwood Forrest until season 4B(annoying choice of plot) Regina should become less of a hot mess.
but then there would be a lot less draaaaammmaaaa…and we don’t want that!

We are supposed to see Emma fight for Hook this season- which I’m on board with 😉 & I dont think TLK for Emma has to wait until last season either- there’s her dealing with having a TL after the kiss & we all know just because you should live happily ever after, doesnt mean you will on Once 😉 As for the Jolly Roger- I’m not worried either way- we saw Hook spend a chunk of time happily “land pirating”, so I dont feel as strongly as I once did about him “needing” to have a ship etc. I’d be o.k if he worked in the white rabbit or something- rum is his second love after all 😉 😛 & We have more of Hook’s back story & his meeting his father in 4B to look forward to as well

LOVED all our CS stuff this ep & Regina’s arc looks like it’s going to be AWESOME! Finally we get the answer of who wrote the book- been waiting for that since S1!!!!!!!!! I’m thinking it could be Mickey’s master/sorcerer/?Merlin? from Fantasia…. although I’d always assumed it was the fairies until now
ZOMG!!!!!! On next weeks ep!!!!! UGH! The wait again! 😉 😀
