ParticipantIs it possible that man can get any hotter/prettier/sexier/insert other adjective here? *fans self*
Old photo? Or back in pirate gear for new episode? Interesting if he’s discarded the modern gear already…

ParticipantJust a reminder, Jen will be appearing with Adam and Eddy at New York Comic Con. There will be a panel discussion like last year. The panel will take place on Friday, from 4:30-5:30 pm.

ParticipantI just wish Charming didn’t stop him from punching out Rumple. What a smug git he was this week (no offence)
And I know why he didn’t help, it was to get Charming to get Elsa to solve the problem herself. But it shows that Rumple’s still self serving and actually hasn’t changed. If Belle was in that cave I’m sure he would have rescued her without destroying the wall with a thought. (small rant over)
Oh, there was a reason other than being, if I may borrow your phrase, a smug git? Ha. Mostly I just got the vibe that he was getting a sadistic thrill out of threatening another woman Killian loves…Sorry, but I may have recently rewatched bits of “The Crocodile” while checking some details for another thing, which always leaves me feeling very anti-Rumple.
Re: that picture…yeah. Ice bath sounds like a good idea.

ParticipantThe little things DO mean a LOT.
This past episode (402) was choc-full of small moments that were gigantic indicators of the growth of Emma’s and Hook’s love affair. They were sneaky about guiding the previews in other directions and frankly I am glad they did! Seeing those small gestures and moments fresh and outside of the (for me anyway) irresistible spoilers plastered all over social media was a gigantic treat, and gift. It was no accident that several close-ups zoomed in on those moments.
We are nowhere near being in safe couple territory yet because, well, safe territory can often lead to boredom in TV drama. Though it usually lasts about two pages of dialogue, we are going to get road blocks of all kinds thrown in their way. With Rumple back in jerk-*ff mode and the introduction of a scrumptiously wicked Snow Queen, plus Will, I am sure there will be some serious threats floating around. We’ve only started to see the wacko adventures just waiting to be played before us with typically fast forward A&E speed (smile) There will be ANGST (grin)
But right now, there is pure bliss!!
Fortunately, in Captain Swan, we have two superb actors who can handle the big moments and tumultuous angst as well as the little, much more personal, intimate and ultimately much more honest things, like wordless, desperate no-walls-visible-dear-goddess-you-are-ok-I-was-desperately-afraid -I-had-lost-you-bone crushing-embraces ~ and entwined fingers clutching for and instantly receiving comfort and security~ and a protective and loving arm draped around a shivering shoulder, his hand rubbing life sustaining warmth back into her body while he caressed her hair with his face. Oh Baby, that director knew the importance of those little things. And they were not lost on the more intuitive and sensitive portion of the audience. They were moments to cherish and relish.
surayya, in regard to your very appropriate negativity concerns…it is wonderful to have this thread to visit. It is an oasis of positivity, celebrations and good feelings in what I feel in many places, has deteriorated into a stagnant, sour grapes and boorish-downer, anti-Once forum. I thank all of you for bringing and keeping the joy here quite alive with visuals, links, thoughtful discussion, metas and unbridled squees in celebration of the entertainment that ONCE continues to offer. Including and not limited to the deliciousness of the story of our Captain and our Lady! You are all very cool kindred spirits!!
Not really a spoiler but we don’t have any *speculation* warning tags…
(On other couples fronts, and this is complete speculation on my part…it seems that they are setting up a season where Regina might play a less visable roll, so far. Perhaps the lovely Lana with her new marriage might be planning a blessed event of her own?? That would be a totally smile inducing event)

I don’t think that scene was Rumple being a “smug git” or Rumple getting ” a sadistic thrill out of threatening another woman Killian loves”. I think the scene served several purposes:
1) It shows the Hook/Rumple rivalry starting up again.
2) RumBelle were sorting through the inventory possibly making sure nothing dangerous had been stolen since Rumple’s shop was broken into.
3) RumBelle’s honeymoon lasted only one day before someone came running to Rumple demanding his help.
4) The ice wall was magic. It is entirely possible that Rumple was actually telling the truth. If anyone had tried to interfere with the wall magically, it could’ve easily collapsed on Emma’s head, hence why Elsa the creator had to be the one to deal with the ice wall.

Hook gets a lot of hate from some fans. I saw a review thing that started off reasonably funny but then the person wished Hook would just die which I thought was very extreme considering this episode he didn’t do anything wrong. Also some of the negativity is just depressing and self-centred. I wish people would stop hoping the show would end or is cancelled just because they don’t like it anymore. There is a simple solution to that which wouldn’t ruin it for every other fan that does still enjoy the show- it’s called stop watching!
I liked Hook’s frustration and snark over him and Emma not having a proper date. I also thought the CS moments in last episode were very sweet. If they had played the CS relationship as friendship thus far, White Out would be the “OMG they finally got together!” episode.

I think Regina could actually be pregnant and it would explain a couple of things (spoilering just in case)
1)The sudden casual look- we’ve never seen Regina in anything less than business like in Storybrooke.
2) Henry deciding to work in Rumple’s shop- he could be trying to earn money to help out with raising the baby (even though Regina wouldn’t want to take his money)
3) Why Regina is so bummed out about Robin Hood plus it would also parallel Cora and Zelena.
4) Why Regina and Snow will continue to bond despite Regina blaming Emma for her misery. All magic comes with a price!

Amen Price!!
I don’t understand a lot of the so-called fans of the show. When I think about the hypocrisy that goes on…it makes me so angry. There’s double-standards everywhere and I realize, no one wants to pick apart bad things their favorite character has done but really, no character on this show is exempt from doing bad things. Even the good guys have made bad choices. (Mary Margaret anyone, Pinocchio?). It’s really infuriating to see fans white wash over character’s actions altogether especially when we’re presented something contrary on screen.
And the vehement hate towards characters that get in the way of their ‘ships. Speaking for Outlaw Queen, I mildly ‘ship it but seriously, Maid Marian, traditionally is not an evil person. I could rant on and on but I need to eat dinner now.
I get to watch 4×02 tomorrow and I already have a meta idea in mind.

That was the vibe I got off of Rumple as well- I think when it comes to Hook & Rumple, the uneasy truss is over for the most part- will they kill each other, nope- will they be ‘mates’ anytime soon- NOPE! 😉

Totally agree & like you I’m a total spoiler addict, but not knowing what we were going to get this ep… well holy flying cow- lets just say I totally get why some people dont do spoilers now 😉 I dont have the self control to be spoiler free, so I’ll hope they dont give away many of the small moments like we got in 402 in later eps… because boy did this episode just kill with the feels. The writer (Jane) & director (?) rocked their little cotton socks right off the planet IMO- happy to have that combo…. for like every episode 😉

I think we are getting much more Regina shortly & in 4B, from what I’ve heard- I could have misconstrued the information though.

Totally & utterly agree!

Hehe, so did I- wonder what their 3rd date will be 😉
