I actually get a giant kick start in the Ohhh Baby libido with the Neverland Kiss (grin). The “You gave up your ship” kiss warmed a different chamber in my heart. The “I am a survivor” smooch evened the intimacy equality…and I am still waiting for the toe-curler I hope they have the guts to give us!
RGF, I can relate to the frustration. My son is a beautifully souled young man who is the light of my very independent feminist soul.
But the graceless ignorance of ugly souled posters has nothing to do with him, or the masses of men just like him. It has to do with their own rampant immaturity, and dense anger.
The male human can certainly p*ss of female humans quite easily and there is much more to be fought in any battles of the sexes towards equality of every kind.
But the incessant and increasingly ugly-child attacks of those females (who didn’t get their way regarding a fantasy TV character) ON other females (because of their preference of a different character) proves that they don’t like or respect other women much either. They USE men to attack other women’s free choices.
They prefer to wallow in self-absorbing whining. If their heart had a face it would be in a permanent sneer. Those who choose to continually prove that brand of classless behavior are only to be pitied.
Having spent most of the week fairly spoiler less due to life intervening (doncha hate when that happens?!) I am looking forward to being pleasantly entertained this Sunday as my love affair with ONCE continues!
Long live imagination…and pirate affection!

ParticipantSo, has anyone else watched the sneak peek, or do you have more willpower to resist spoilers than I do? Haha.
Seriously though, I could buy that Rumple cursed his hand, but that his hand is just bad on its own? Alien hand syndrome indeed, I guess. But my other issue with that is that Hook’s real villainy didn’t start until he was, well “Hook”. Before Rumple murdered Milah, yes Killian was a pirate, but we have no indication that he was evil or anything. A bit of a jerk? Sure, at times. But the bad stuff (hitting and almost killing Belle, working with Cora, taking away Belle’s memories, etc.) happened in pursuit of vengeance.
And how super awkward was it that he told Rumple he had a date and wanted his hand back because he wanted to use both hands to hold her? I mean I’m sure that was directed more at the audience than Rumple himself, but why the HECK would Killian divulge personal details like that to Rumple, of all people? That was just uncomfortable, haha. Also, does he really need a reason to want his hand back? Why wouldn’t he? I can think of a whole lot of things that would be difficult to do one-handed.
ETA: Whoa, it must’ve taken me longer than I thought to write this; there are three new posts since I started to reply!

ParticipantYay!!! Sneak peek!!
But the spoiler actually makes me even more convinced about something I suspected – that Hook’s hand is NOT cursed. I am wondering if Rumple is just playing mind games with Hook and because Hook is worried about being “whole” for Emma when he loses his temper with Will about spilling the drink, the mind games start to work and Hook starts to wonder if the hand if cursed. Because if the hand ISN’T cursed he might start to worry that he hasn’t made as much progress as he THOUGHT he had. It just seems like there has been a lot of Hook toying with Rumple about how he really hasn’t changed. Kind of like “be careful what you say Hook because you ARE a fairy tale villain even if you are a recovered fairy tale villain.” Like alcoholics, fairy tale villains can always fall off the wagon – or live in great fear that they will (like Regina). That would then be a consistent thread amongst the villains on the show. You have Rumple who has NOT gotten better but SHOULD have, Regina who HAS gotten better but doesn’t REALIZE she has, and Hook who HAS gotten better but would be afraid of turning back into who he used to be. If the theme of this season is never giving up on the ones you love – each of these villains has people who would love and support them through their villain identity crisis. The big issue with Hook, as we have discussed before, is obviously that he doesn’t want his hand for himself – he wants it for Emma, he thinks he needs it because she deserves someone whole . . . this is where his identity crisis begins. Emma doesn’t care about his hand. From this spoiler I think she’s going to end up having to show him not only that she loves him with a hook instead of a hand but that she loves him even though he IS actually a fairy tale villain, and that she will love and support him even if he “falls off the wagon” because he WANTS to be a better man. I am so excited!! We are FINALLY gonna get the tables turned and have Emma fighting for Hook!! Yay

ParticipantRe: hate-watching…I have no problem with people doing that. I don’t get it, but it’s really no skin off my nose. What I can’t stand is when they try to force everyone else to hate it too or do things like attack actors and writers via Twitter or whatever. There’s just no excuse for that.
I can actually kind of relate because I’m on a bit of an anti-Regina kick at the moment, so I have a fair amount of negative things to say about her on my Tumblr etc., but I tag it so no one has to see it if they don’t want to. But yeah, Regina’s been a dark spot on what’s otherwise been a pretty great season so far, so I get wanting to vent about individual things that bug you. 😛 I just don’t let it ruin the rest of the show for me!
But Killian’s going to find out very quickly that the hook’s never bothered her and she loves him unconditionally, hand or no hand and she understands what the hook means to him but she also knows that’s not who he is now.
This is why I’m hoping he gets his hook back by episodes end.

Yeah, I though he looked kind of sheepish when he said it. But really who else has Killian got to go to for help with what he thinks he wants or what he thinks Emma would want. He’s like a fish out of water in this new world so he;s going to try to do whatever he can to try and fit in, even if it means going up against the dark one.
Rumple’s little smile at Hooks admission is one part amused and one part shady. Rumple’s going to enjoy messing with Hooks head.

ParticipantI wish there was an easier way to spoiler block. I keep having to go back and fix things.
Thanks for posting the article @obisgirl. Best part was this:
The blonde beauty spilled that she was thrilled to see that Emma’s date-night dress mirrored the way that Hook makes her feel. “This is the first time that Emma is wearing something that is softer and gentler and sweeter and romantic,” she said.
“To me, that was really important because I wanted it to be symbolic of something very different than the other times that we’ve seen her on a date,” Morrison remarked of Emma’s varied romantic past. “Now she really likes this guy and she’s really genuine about it… and the fact that she feels safe enough and inspired to express that part of herself to him was a really important thing to show.”
I’m sure she’s going to get crap from people for stating her opinion. Nice to know, however, that we understood from the beginning what they were going for in her choice of date outfit.

I totally get being annoyed at a character or not liking a specific arc. Aside from CS, the whole Neverland thing wasn’t exactly my favorite part of the show – there were parts I liked and parts that almost put to me sleep. I don’t even really care if people don’t like CS – ship whoever you want. What I am not happy about is the fact that it seems like people who enjoy the show have the become the minority on the boards, to the point that every thread except this one ultimately becomes a place to talk about how terrible the show is now, how awful the writing is, how none of the characters make sense anymore, how all of the actors are OBVIOUSLY unhappy with their job on the show (you can just TELL), how MRJ continues to be treated like crap, how A and E are in conspiracy with Disney and ABC to ensure young girls think rape is acceptable, etc. It’s like this has become the Anti-OUaT website. If people hate the show that much they SHOULD start an anti-OUaT website and then they can gripe about the show all they want there. But this should be a place where people who enjoy the show can come to discuss it. I have been here almost since the beginning of season 1 and I remember how much fun this site used to be. There were plenty of people who didn’t like certain characters or didn’t care for certain storylines but they weren’t NEGATIVE about the SHOW. People joked around together during the show and during the podcast – now people commiserate and complain together. The boards were full of theories and in depth discussions, now there are hardly ANY threads outside of the SF and CS thread, and those threads that do exist move at a snail’s pace or die quickly. There was lots of commentary on how well actors portrayed their characters and certain scenes, now people personalize the actors with the characters so much that the discussion is about which actor has gotten what hate mail from the fans today because of what their character did on the last episode. It’s just become a very different place from what it used to be.
I’m glad that we still have lots of great discussions here though!!

Is that really that surprising? We’ve been right on almost all major points. I don’t know how many listened to the commentary of Adam and Eddy from the season 3 finale, but Eddy pretty much confirmed what we figured from their first major episode together, Tallahassee. [x]
And how difficult it would be for Emma if Neal was her happy ending? I think our only three misses were who was getting married last season, what The Jolly Roger was about and whether true love’s kiss would happen. Everything else we’ve predicted have for the most part been, spot on.
‘Shipper goggles aside, I think it’s because we understand the psychology of Emma. We get her. It’s a blessing whenever JMo or Colin talk in interviews and pretty much reaffirm what we’re talking about.
