ParticipantThey should have had them go on a date to a Mexican restaurant so Emma could have ordered tacos! Although I read somewhere that they are somehow doing the Lady and Tramp spaghetti and meatballs scene with Emma and Killy at the Italian restaurant. That should be beyond adorable, even if he just offers her his last meatball! But seriously did anyone NOT replace “hold her” with either “make tacos” or “have sex” during Killy’s little explanation to Rumple?

Ew, no–the idea of those two discussing their sex lives is just way too icky! I really have no idea why he couldn’t have just said “the ‘why’ doesn’t concern you” or something.
I did see a theory on Tumblr or somewhere (I don’t know if this has been mentioned here before or not) that perhaps one reason for this brief arc is that it’ll be easier to film any scenes involving, well, let’s just say less clothing than usual without having to worry about the logistics of portraying a missing hand…lol. Seriously though, since it’s a PG-rated show I’m not going to hold my breath on that front.
Either way though, I can’t wait! Just two days to go! 🙂

ParticipantI swear I want to SPIT NAILS as the mother of a son when I read the man hating, ridiculous comments I see so often. I seriously wonder if some people’s ONLY interactions with men have been through being abused by one or being left by one (a father). Because so many people seem to have virtually NO knowledge at ALL of decent men and seem to immediately assume the WORST of anything when it comes to a male character. Where the heck did all this male hate come from??????
See as someone whose much loved bio-father died at a young age (he was only 30 & I was 2 & 1/2-3yrs), was then used (along with my brother) as an alibi for my stepfather sleeping around with other women by taking us with him to “visit” their places (I hated going, despite the kids they almost always had, as I’m terribly, terribly shy) & has had corporal & physiological punishment meted out by said highly domineering stepfather. I have ZERO problem with Killian as a character (in fact i have more problems with Rumple & Belle relationship atm than I have ever had with CS & was why I could never get on board with SF), in fact it’s probably why I can relate to Emma so darn well (some of things she does to push people away I notice in myself 😉 ) & seeing Killian go through everything he has to prove he will always be there for her, even if she doesnt reciprocate his feelings, is IMO & experience almost always the Exact level of loyalty, devotion & commitment that women who have been ‘hurt’ by the males in their lives need & want in a partner inorder to feel ‘safe’ enough to embrace opening up to being hurt again.
IMO those haters are doing nothing more than talking out their backsides- I mean for starters, do not a single one of them actually have the intelligence to ensure the crap they are spouting actually has any basis in reality … NOPE!… Why?! Every single “crime” they accuse Killian of, simply doesnt fit the legal definition of the said crimes….
Example Stalking = Consisting of the repeated following and harassing of another person.Stalking is a distinctive form of criminal activity composed of a series of actions that taken individually might constitute legal behavior. For example, sending flowers, writing love notes, and waiting for someone outside her place of work are actions that, on their own, are not criminal. When these actions are coupled with an intent to instill fear or injury, however, they may constitute a pattern of behavior that is illegal..
Yeah, sure standing outside a restaurant the women you love invited you too & keeping an eye on her to ensure her safety (due to a psychotic WW cursing you & threatening her family’s lives) ONCE, is stalking… TOTALLY fits the definition of REPEATEDLY following or harassing someone with the INTENT to INSTILL FEAR OR INJURY LMAO!!!
I mean anyone with 2 brain cells knocking about in their head can see what they are saying is totally bollocks & nothing more than immature, stupidity expressed for all the world to see…. I have to laugh at their hate tbh, the more loudly & vehemently they accuse Killian of being an evil, criminal; the more ignorant & foolish they come off as.
Also of note is those that throw the most hate actively either want Emma with Regina- a mass murderer, that has tried to not only murder Emma, but also her mother, had Emma’s grandfather murdered & murdered a guy Emma had feelings for (Graham), or they’d rather the man who was happily engaged to another women after having a teenaged Emma sent to jail for his crime, on top of sleeping with a 17yr old & getting her pregnant, than abandoning her a 2nd time rather than at least trying to help her, degraded a part of her that she is proud of (her super powers), mocked her & only decided to “fight for her” AFTER his fiancée shot him & Emma told him expressly, he was a constant reminder of her past with him, which was too painful for her to want to remember, so she wished he had been dead, as it would be easier on her to move on from it all. Or they are big Rumple/Rumbelle fans, yet have zero problems with all the out right murdering, manipulation & twisting of people he has done- in short they are MASSIVE hypocrites at the very least & ignorant fools with big mouths at worst, either way- they arent really worth the time of day for anyone interested in intelligent conversation.I agree with the rest of your post as well & I have 3 brothers- not a son! (thought it might be a bit long to quote the rest 😉 )

ParticipantWe’ve hit a milestone guys!! One year ago, Oct 18, 2013, we got our first glimpse of the Captain Swan Neverland kiss in Good Form (3×05).
Here’s the original EW article.
What are your thoughts on our babies’ first kiss compared to other ones? How does this one stack up to the others?
1st Kiss = eager, intense, all consuming, charged kiss by both parties 😉 Although Killian’s floored expression afterwards was very sweet & Emma’s pulling back as she realised how easy it would be for that kiss to go so much further than she realised, was heart breaking.
The Jolly Roger (or should I say Rolly Joger lol) has a similar feel as the NL kiss, in that it was sexy, charged, eager kissing, that could quickly become ‘another activity’ 😉
The Granny’s kiss was a deeply affectionate, tender, passionate & heartfelt kiss.
Their forest kiss was sweet & tender.
Their middle of the street kiss was emotionally intense, heartfelt & passionate…. almost like a promise 🙂I think it still holds up well against the others- for me their 1st ‘exciting’ kiss was the thing that turned the ‘spark’ both characters felt for each other, into a full bodied flame 🙂

ParticipantNew Rumple and Hook sneak peek!!!
Favorite quotes from the sneak peek:
“Should things go well and she wants me to hold her, I want to use both hands.”
My reaction:
I like how Killian wants his hand back, not for himself, but for Emma. That once again, he’s thinking of her agency, her wants, her needs. Of course, Killian wants his back for himself but that’s not his reason here; it’s for Emma because he thinks that’s what she wants, needs and deserves, is to love a whole man.
But Killian’s going to find out very quickly that the hook’s never bothered her and she loves him unconditionally, hand or no hand and she understands what the hook means to him but she also knows that’s not who he is now.
2nd quote
‘Because unlike me, you haven’t changed one bit, crocodile.’Hook’s really the only one to show consistent change since season two. Most everything he does, is for Emma. He finally cares about someone other than himself and this need to for his hand, his reasoning is for Emma because he thinks that’s what she needs. While Hook is trying to be good (blackmail isn’t good and I don’t condone it), you also have to look at the flip side as well. Hook would not have the leverage he does against Rumple if he would simply tell Belle the truth. Hook even knows that he swapped the dagger again. Rumple’s still lying to her. The more Rumple drags out lying to Belle, the bigger trouble he’s going to be in later and I hate to think if Belle were in danger, and she needed to use the dagger but ‘Ooops!’ it’s not working and she can’t defend herself, things are going to go south very quickly in that marriage. Rumple is hurting himself and Belle, by the very fact that he continues to lie to her about the dagger. .
Oh, whoops! My hand slipped on the link & clicked it…. then ummm, slipped again on the video & it started playing before I could stop it- gosh darn it 😛 ..seriously, I suck at going spoiler free 😉
Agreed on both points… My reaction to Rumple’s warning (& so help me the writers better have this be a result of Rumple cursing the hand or I wont be able to take it seriously lol), was actually pretty much EXACTLY the same as Killian’s LOL… I mean that concept is so ridiculously amusing, that I’ve been chuckling about for the last half hour Lol…. If it isnt a result of Rumple’s ‘payback’, then if nothing else, it is a hysterical concept to laugh about 😉
Although WHY IN LOVE OF ALL THAT’S GREEN & BLUE DOES RUMPLE SAY HOOK IS BLACKMAILING HIM?!?! He IS’NT- when has Hook ever asked for money???????????? He HAS’NT, therefore it is NOT blackmail…..UGH!!!!!!!
We have these things called dictionary’s for a reason :/October 17, 2014 at 10:27 pm #285960surayya
ParticipantRandom responses…
I actually get a giant kick start in the Ohhh Baby libido with the Neverland Kiss (grin). The “You gave up your ship” kiss warmed a different chamber in my heart. The “I am a survivor” smooch evened the intimacy equality…and I am still waiting for the toe-curler I hope they have the guts to give us!
RGF, I can relate to the frustration. My son is a beautifully souled young man who is the light of my very independent feminist soul.
But the graceless ignorance of ugly souled posters has nothing to do with him, or the masses of men just like him. It has to do with their own rampant immaturity, and dense anger.
The male human can certainly p*ss of female humans quite easily and there is much more to be fought in any battles of the sexes towards equality of every kind.
But the incessant and increasingly ugly-child attacks of those females (who didn’t get their way regarding a fantasy TV character) ON other females (because of their preference of a different character) proves that they don’t like or respect other women much either. They USE men to attack other women’s free choices.
They prefer to wallow in self-absorbing whining. If their heart had a face it would be in a permanent sneer. Those who choose to continually prove that brand of classless behavior are only to be pitied.
Having spent most of the week fairly spoiler less due to life intervening (doncha hate when that happens?!) I am looking forward to being pleasantly entertained this Sunday as my love affair with ONCE continues!
Long live imagination…and pirate affection!
Agree- while not on the spoiler part- I’m weak 😉 but everything else…
I always enjoy the mental imagery you paint with your posts lolSo, has anyone else watched the sneak peek, or do you have more willpower to resist spoilers than I do? Haha.
Seriously though, I could buy that Rumple cursed his hand, but that his hand is just bad on its own? Alien hand syndrome indeed, I guess. But my other issue with that is that Hook’s real villainy didn’t start until he was, well “Hook”. Before Rumple murdered Milah, yes Killian was a pirate, but we have no indication that he was evil or anything. A bit of a jerk? Sure, at times. But the bad stuff (hitting and almost killing Belle, working with Cora, taking away Belle’s memories, etc.) happened in pursuit of vengeance.
And how super awkward was it that he told Rumple he had a date and wanted his hand back because he wanted to use both hands to hold her? I mean I’m sure that was directed more at the audience than Rumple himself, but why the HECK would Killian divulge personal details like that to Rumple, of all people? That was just uncomfortable, haha. Also, does he really need a reason to want his hand back? Why wouldn’t he? I can think of a whole lot of things that would be difficult to do one-handed.
ETA: Whoa, it must’ve taken me longer than I thought to write this; there are three new posts since I started to reply!
Zero will power to resist the sneak peek here 😛
I agree with you on both points too- I’m not sure what to think… but I have got a darn good giggle out of the whole concept if nothing else at this point, I mean is there really anything else we can do other than go “ohhhhhhhhhh Kaaaaaaaaay” & LOAO 😛
I get on the holy crabby patties batman- the CS thread is active again! …. I actually went ‘OMG, there must have been a sneak peek,’ when I woke up to 2 additional pages lol 😉October 17, 2014 at 10:41 pm #285961Epona_610

In addition to the fact that he wasn’t evil when he had the hand, there’s also the issue that if the rest of him is “redeemed”, shouldn’t he just be able to hang on to the hand for a while and control it until it gets with the program and redeems itself as well? (Haha, that sounds so ridiculous!) I’m sorry, I just can’t handle (pun intended) that idea because (a) it’s ridiculous; (b) he had the hook for his worst actions; and (c) even if that were the case, there’s no reason why it should be permanent if the rest of his body successfully redeemed itself…that just sounds so ludicrous! I was actually looking forward to all of the drama from Rumple having cursed his hand, but for the hand itself to somehow be evil? No way to take that seriously!

ParticipantYay!!! Sneak peek!!
But the spoiler actually makes me even more convinced about something I suspected – that Hook’s hand is NOT cursed. I am wondering if Rumple is just playing mind games with Hook and because Hook is worried about being “whole” for Emma when he loses his temper with Will about spilling the drink, the mind games start to work and Hook starts to wonder if the hand if cursed. Because if the hand ISN’T cursed he might start to worry that he hasn’t made as much progress as he THOUGHT he had. It just seems like there has been a lot of Hook toying with Rumple about how he really hasn’t changed. Kind of like “be careful what you say Hook because you ARE a fairy tale villain even if you are a recovered fairy tale villain.” Like alcoholics, fairy tale villains can always fall off the wagon – or live in great fear that they will (like Regina). That would then be a consistent thread amongst the villains on the show. You have Rumple who has NOT gotten better but SHOULD have, Regina who HAS gotten better but doesn’t REALIZE she has, and Hook who HAS gotten better but would be afraid of turning back into who he used to be. If the theme of this season is never giving up on the ones you love – each of these villains has people who would love and support them through their villain identity crisis. The big issue with Hook, as we have discussed before, is obviously that he doesn’t want his hand for himself – he wants it for Emma, he thinks he needs it because she deserves someone whole . . . this is where his identity crisis begins. Emma doesn’t care about his hand. From this spoiler I think she’s going to end up having to show him not only that she loves him with a hook instead of a hand but that she loves him even though he IS actually a fairy tale villain, and that she will love and support him even if he “falls off the wagon” because he WANTS to be a better man. I am so excited!! We are FINALLY gonna get the tables turned and have Emma fighting for Hook!! Yay
Wow, I LOVE your theory about the hand @rumplegoldfan, I could totally take that situation seriously. I think you might be onto something there, if not outright correct! Now you’ve get me all excited to see if this is indeed the way the writers are going to go with this & you are right, it ties in superbly with the villain arcs, as well as the little hints/foreshadowing we’ve seen pop up here & there both this season & last (the way Killian responded to Emma’s “Well you are a pirate” still jumps out me & says that reaction was important).
Re: hate-watching…I have no problem with people doing that. I don’t get it, but it’s really no skin off my nose. What I can’t stand is when they try to force everyone else to hate it too or do things like attack actors and writers via Twitter or whatever. There’s just no excuse for that.
*Nod agreement*
Yeah, I though he looked kind of sheepish when he said it. But really who else has Killian got to go to for help with what he thinks he wants or what he thinks Emma would want. He’s like a fish out of water in this new world so he;s going to try to do whatever he can to try and fit in, even if it means going up against the dark one.
Rumple’s little smile at Hooks admission is one part amused and one part shady. Rumple’s going to enjoy messing with Hooks head.
Good points both- love your second one though & totally agree there! Poor Killy 😉

ParticipantAs I said elsewhere, with the whole cursed hand thing. I really don’t mind if it ends up being more psychological, than an actual curse. Once a seed is planted in your head, it’s hard to get rid of it (doesn’t mean you can’t over come it). Don’t think about white bears. Now you’re all thinking about white bears. Even though the hand may not be bad on its own, Hook has tried really hard to over come his darkness, to be worthy of Emma’s love. The hand could be a phyical reminder of who he was/is and who he’s trying to be. And Rumple’s always messing with people’s heads.
Edit: I totally missed what RGF saidm but yes, that’s pretty much what I think 🙂
If one is to engage with the primordial forces of darkness, one must expect a little social awkwardness

ParticipantI wish there was an easier way to spoiler block. I keep having to go back and fix things.
Thanks for posting the article @obisgirl. Best part was this:
The blonde beauty spilled that she was thrilled to see that Emma’s date-night dress mirrored the way that Hook makes her feel. “This is the first time that Emma is wearing something that is softer and gentler and sweeter and romantic,” she said.
“To me, that was really important because I wanted it to be symbolic of something very different than the other times that we’ve seen her on a date,” Morrison remarked of Emma’s varied romantic past. “Now she really likes this guy and she’s really genuine about it… and the fact that she feels safe enough and inspired to express that part of herself to him was a really important thing to show.”
I’m sure she’s going to get crap from people for stating her opinion. Nice to know, however, that we understood from the beginning what they were going for in her choice of date outfit.
I LOVE that exact same part the most as well! How special is that 🙂
Sadly the hate will fly at her for that yes- how dare she have a personal opinion…. only the haters are allowed those! *shakes head* -
