Hmm- I havent heard the whole EDR/RC humors- I did hear about the EDR leaving rumors & they are just that- baseless rumors started by stupid fan/s who have nothing better to do than troll & screw with people. Adam went on record as saying that EDR has Not asked to leave or anything of that nature.
I think personally, rather than jumping the gun & reading into the gossip mill, we ignore it- marriages can be unnecessarily strained by rumor alone these days & I think it is seriously low for fans (because it’s almost ALWAYS the fans making this sort of crap up) to project their love of a fantasy couple, on the actual actors themselves- it’s sick when one or both are married :/
The cast is very close (that much is obvious) & I think male & female, they are all good friends, so it doesnt take much for an outside source, not involved with what is actually going on or the context of situation, to start rumors, based off of unnecessary, unfounded accusations.
For me personally- I wont be buying into any of it, unless any of it is announced officially- I wont give whomever started the rumor mill churning the satisfaction.
[adrotate group="5"]If they did do her, I don’t think they’d actually show her hurting animals. (although they did show the heart being taken from the unicorn) but hurting animals on tv is a big no no because the audience cares more about the animals then the people. I could see her going after magical creatures like Ruby for their magical properties.
Well then as far as I’m concerned, she shouldn’t be on the show at all, because that’s what she’s known for. And I stand by what I said before, no matter what they have her do on the actual show, I’ll be pretty offended if they try to make her even remotely sympathetic or her actions justified. And I don’t think they would either; they’d probably alienate a lot of the audience. But bring that character in and it’s definitely implied. And I know about other people, but one of the issues I have with animal abuse being shown on screen is the long and sordid history of actually torturing animals for film. (I could go into more detail, but I’ll spare everyone!)
I really don’t see how Cruella can fit into the OUAT universe – AT ALL! . I’m inclined to think this actress for 4B is Aurora’s mother, the original Sleeping Beauty, Briar Rose or one of the three fairies. Plus, I googled her and the actress is Irish and Sarah Bolger who is our Aurora is Irish too.
I don’t see how either! Maybe she comes from Alice’s “fictional London” instead of the EF, haha. But with this and rumors of a Dalmatian puppy on set…it’s got me worried. And I wouldn’t be so worried about it if she were a one-episode villain either, but this character is apparently recurring. I’d much rather see Aurora’s mother, or the Black Fairy, or, well, anyone else, lol. I’m very much looking forward to having Kristin Bauer back, but this might put a damper on things. *sigh*
I know a lot of people want to see her- but I too would be mighty pis….ticked off if they tried to justify her harming of defenseless animals, so I seriously hope they dont go there. IF they stay true to her being a horrible human being, whom gets her comeuppance for trying to harm Pongo & co, then fine- moral of the story… do unto others, as you would have them do to you. I wont stop watching unless they cross a line- which I seriously doubt they will- 1) it’s a family show & 2) It’d be a political nightmare, what with the zillion animal rights & activists groups who’d get up in arms (which is one of the reasons I feel they havent gone there yet- how to stay true to that story, without kicking the massive hornet nest in the process).
Also so think it’s a little unfair to say people care more about animals than people- I think MOST people who feel very strongly about animal cruelty, also feel just as strongly about child abuse, because it comes down to the one fundamental thing that both are deprived of- free will/ choice … animals & children most often dont get to choose what people do to them & with them- they are taught to trust in people & then people harm them…. its beyond horrible.

I’m trying to think of possible “good” outcomes…let’s see, best for me personally would be she and Regina kill each other off. Ha, just kidding; I know that’ll never happen. I’d find Killian all the sexier if he were the one to stop her. Maybe Henry will stop her; he really likes Pongo. Poetic justice would be Ruby killing her! Blech, I just can’t imagine how they’re going to shoehorn her into this world at all, let alone as a freaking recurring character. Ugh. Considering this show’s record with whitewashing horrible crimes I’m afraid this could be a shark-jumping type moment for me. And I’d be really sad because I’ve been a fan of this show since before the pilot aired.
Ohh, another way I might like this arc: she goes after Maleficent’s miniature unicorn and Maleficent kills out! Now Maleficent, she’s a villain whose redemption I could buy (as of now; I don’t know what stuff they might show us later). We haven’t seen her do anything particularly terrible and permanent, and I respect her for caring so much about her mini unicorn. 🙂 Maybe she can take out Cruella and “redeem” herself (I don’t know exactly why I put that in quotes…possibly because it gets tossed around so much it’s nearly lost all meaning to me). Actually one of the reasons why I love Kristin Bauer Van Straten is because in real life she’s an animal activist. (The other is she’s awesome in True Blood.)
Oh who am I kidding? She’ll probably be BFFs with Regina and they’ll rewrite the book together and she’ll live happily ever after surrounded by the pelts of countless slaughtered animals.

So what if her rasion d’etre is to kill puppies she has a cracking sense of fashion and would give Regina a run for her money there 😉 Why are we all of sudden worried about puppy abuse in a fairy tale? She never wins and puppies are never abused/killed unless I’ve missed something in my very limited knowledge of 101 Dalmatians. And surely surely Emma and Henry would know of her. How does someone in the real word take her seriously? She’s such a cartoon villain. Someone walking around in black and white houndstooth, banging on about a puppy fur coat, they’re gonna know exactly who she is. Hide the dogs, get them out of Storybrooke. There done, villain defeated. They’ll have to change her beyond what she’s known for.

For me I agree- she is 1st & foremost a cartoon villain, which is what I’m hoping & assuming they stick to with her (an oot villain like in all the movies)…. I’m just not interested in seeing them try to justify or make her sympathetic for her killing animals (puppies or not- I dont care) in the name of fashion- thats the only issue I’d personally have, but since I dont see A&E crossing that line (I assume & think they’ll keep her a villain for villains sake- like Pan, or they twist the story some how, so rather than using animals for coats- she’ll have awesome fashion sense & turn people into animals or lol coats 😛 ) it wont be an issue for me- as I said her being on the show isnt going to stop me watching. If she’s going to be on the show I want to see what they have in store for her…. & hopefully she wont be related to anyone for a change :p LOL
I’m not worried about animal abuse on show at this stage- my bit there was in response to whomever said people care more about animals than people- I dont think thats true in “most” cases & simply pointed out why I don’t think that’s true- it had nothing to do with CDV being on the show or not- sorry if I didnt make that clearer.
I’m curious to see how CDV will actually fit into the show… I mean yeah, she’s a horrible excuse for a human being, but what will her angle be, in order to make her a viable threat? The fur trade while repulsive, isnt exactly going to put the town & everyone init in danger…. unless she tried to turn everyone into dalmatian puppies or something lol o.O She’s supposed to be recurring as well…so how will she fit in with Mal supposedly being the big bad for 4B, Will’s arc, operation mongoose, OQ arc, CS (Emma fighting for Killian) arc & Killian’s backstory… Oh & Rumple/Killian situation resolution (if it isnt resolved by 411)?- thats all I know of s4 spoilers at this piont in time lol. I hope we dont get flooded with villains again, like we did in S2 though- it was a little bit much having Cora, Regina, Tamara & Greg, with Hook & Rumple walking the fence between good & bad… I wonder if we’ll get Mal in flash back & CDV in present or something like that…. I wonder if CDV has Perdita locked up somewhere & she’ll be part of a mini arc over 3-4-5 eps or something like that…. so many possibilities

I have been pondering that too. I was thinking that if Mal is the big bad, then CDV might be a version of S2 Hook? A villain of sorts but not one that is out to destroy the world or everyone’s happiness, but just working with the big bad to get what she wants. It will be nice to have another all and out horrible character just to dislike/hate, as you said much like Pan. And if the 3 villainesses for 4b is to be true, I think they’ll need an overall one in charge with the other 2 working for her, otherwise they’ll have three villains probably competing against each other and ultimately destroying themselves (actually that’s not a bad idea, but it might be hard to follow) and the heroes can sit back and let it happen.

Thats an interesting thought that… could be a fresh take….Oh, oh, oh- what if Mal is the dark fairy Blue “banished” & CDV & whomever is part of the trio, bring her back kind of like the way Tink & the nevengers brought Blue back… then we’d have our big bad + 2 cohorts, with the big bad (Mal), tying everyones stories together through Aurora, Blue, Archie & Pongo in SB on one side & Will with WL on the other (plus Snowing, Regina, Killian or Rumple with whomever the third is).
