I decided to participate in this whole Top 5 CS Scenes thing so here’s mine :)

@KillianJones LOVE your vid :) Everyone’s top 5 is fantastic but I have a hard time picking the best CS moments because we’ve been spoiled rotten by all the goodness. One of my favourites from 3×22 is the “Not everyone gets the chance to watch their parents fall in love” quote and the way Killian looks are her when he says it is just beautiful. And the way Emma looked over at him when he made the “must run in the family” comment convinced me that she was well on her way to falling for him. Sorry, the screenshots I posted came out at gibberish, but I think you all know the looks I’m talking about :)

Oh I know those are two of my favs too! That specific look when he says “must run in the family” I love it that’s why I made sure to include it in one of my earlier videos! Another that was hard to leave off my top 5 was when Killian wipes Emma’s tears when she finds out Snow White is alive ahhh! So many good moments!

Yes, So many fantastic top moments- the tears wiping is one of my favorite moments as well, along with the holding Emma when Snow is executed- we have been soooooo spoiled, but by gosh, it is WONDERFUL to be cannon & have it being so difficult to narrow down our top 5 moments now 😉

I am continually amazed by the many talented artists we have in our ‘ship. I have a pinterest board dedicated to all the beautiful artwork I come across on tumblr. I love them all and at the same time, I feel like it puts my talent to shame. I took drawing in college, I’m okay I guess though I don’t really practice.

But when I see paintings like this…

What I find hypocritical, is that the haters see Hook for teasing Emma about Walsh as something nasty, but oh no, when she and Neal exchanged horror stories about their exes [he was engaged to a minion of Peter Pan, who was also his grandfather, and Emma almost married a monkey] that’s somehow okay.

Its the fact they are haters that makes their arguments invalid though, they will hate despite reason & logic, if reason & logic are pointed out to them, they either deny it or ignore it, making haters by nature bigots, so their opinions dont matter, as they have no basis in reality- it’s just septic verbal vomit.

But I get the gist of what that meta was saying. Hook knows that Emma likes him but has no idea, if those feelings are only liking him or loving him; which he clearly loves her.

Yep, which I think is a very valid point to make about Killian.

Here’s the thing though, Hook is a patient man especially when it comes to Emma. I think he knows that she cares for him, as evident by her speech at the end of Rocky Road in the street. She wants to protect him because she can’t lose him the way she’s lost other people in the past (Graham, Neal, Walsh).

All of these people died on her and she doesn’t want this to happen to Hook. Granted, we know Hook is excellent at surviving but it’s a legitimate concern on Emma’s part because she is genuinely invested in making this relationship work.

Agreed, he is patient & he does know Emma cares for him & is invested in their relationship- he just isnt sure at what level she cares yet… does she love him as friends with added benefits (he knows he & Emma are close friends & that she doesnt want to lose any of her friends), or do her feelings run deeper, does she care genuinely see him as ‘it’ on a romantic/love level, as he sees her.
When we take into account Killian has spent more time being told he’s just a pirate & not worthy of Emma’s affections, it kind of makes some sense that he’d be a little insecure on exactly how Emma feels about ‘them’ & him in relation to everyone else- is he her choice by default or does she really pick him out of everyone (& I wonder if Will being around might play into that idea, if they decide to explore this side to Killian).

She’s falling in love with Killian. I don’t think she’s at true love level yet, but she’ll get there with time.

I dont think Emma is openly at TL level yet, but I do think she knows she truly loves him… a whole hell of a lot more than she realised, so I think TLK would work now if they needed it to (since she realises she has these feelings for him & seems to be the key behind it working).

I think the haters are more upset by the comfort level Emma is showing with Hook by her genuine amusement at the Walsh comments he makes. The cracks she makes about his age he takes in the same manner. That’s what couples/friends do when they’re teasing each other.

Since it’s Thursday, here’s a throwback to the 3×5 smoochies Captain Eala used to post here on a daily basis last winter hiatus. Good thing we’ve got a lot more smoochies to choose from to post this upcoming horrible hiatus :)

And if Emma were offended by Hook’s comments, you’d know that she would tell him that she’s offended and he would probably stop. Hook respects Emma’s agency (there, I remembered what that word was). He didn’t push her to be with him.

He let the choice be hers and even flat out told Charming, that what Hook and Emma become it’s as much as up to her as it is to him. He respects Emma so much that Hook’s not making any assumptions of that their relationship, that what they become is up to Emma. This relationship is her choice, where it goes, how it progresses or doesn’t, is Emma’s choice. It’s Hook’s choice but here, he’s letting her father know that it’s also Emma’s right too.

I love that about him, particularly because it’s what Emma needs in her life. And look, everything she’s done this season alone, speaks volumes about how she feels in regard to Hook.

She asked him out on a date. Emma made the choice to take that leap of faith. She wants to get to know this person outside of a pending crisis but instead, in an intimate and private setting. While on said date, she also made the choice to not let anything get in the way or ruin said date. And made sure to let Hook know the next day that she enjoyed the date, that it meant something to her. Because he is important to her.

The scene in the Sheriff’s station at the end of Breaking Glass. Emma could have chosen not to let Hook see those private things, representative of her childhood. But she’s choosing to trust him, trust that he won’t reject her, trust that he won’t judge her. But Emma chose to open to him, to let Hook see parts of the childhood that she had kept hidden. That’s huge and it also speaks to the level of comfort for Emma that she can be that with him.

    *Nods in agreement* Exactly-

Here have some Rum cake …. or hooky cookies 🙂

I read a story when I was younger and I can’t think what it was called now (it might have been in one of the Mother Goose treasuries) about a king whose wife was cruel and there was this mirror and the wife’s reflection was really beautiful so the king decided to swap his wife for the reflection so he did somehow but the wife’s reflection was crueller and when he touched her, her skin was “as cold as glass.” That theory made me think of that story.

Hmmm, interesting- I’ve never heard of that one before now.

I don’t think Hook’s being nasty when he teases Emma about Walsh.

    Agreed 🙂

That is simply stunning, totally agree about the talent of some of our ship mates.

    Yup.

surayya, I still believe that a lot of the hate for Hook is because many posters can’t handle the feelings he churns up inside them. They are afraid of him and those feelings. It isn’t necessarily Emma’s comfort level, it is that some of them have a certain *discomfort* for the sensuality he sometimes oozes (grin). When Emma was being snarky, it was something they could identify with as a defense mechanism against that *discomfort*. Now that they know Emma is indeed (as most of us knew) QUITE affectionate, soul-connected and fond of her pirate love, they have to find other piddling ridiculous reasons to try and diminish him.

    Ain’t working !

PoM: The vision of Carlyle actually head butting anyone IS entertaining. Can he start with Robin Hood please?
