ParticipantSo I had a dream involving Hook last night.
He was travelling around my home town with two blonde middle-aged women. They were trying to get on a bus to the airport, the bus driver let the two women on, but when Hook got his bus money out, the bus driver told Hook that it would be £300 to get to the air port. So Hook told him to *duck cough* and decided to walk instead. When Hook met up with the two women later, they told him they only had to pay £1 each for the journey.

ParticipantSo re: Robin & Regina/Marian –
Am I the only one that thinks we’re doing to have a thawed out Marian next ep…thanks to Robin and Regina’s TL kiss? I think the writers are going to try to worm their way out of this OQ fiasco by showing how powerful Robin/Regina’s TL is, and Marian understanding…it’s a stretch but I think that’s really the only way they can go here.
I liked the ep. It wasn’t my favorite, but the ones with backstory on the villains generally aren’t. EM once again nailed it with her creepiness….that gal knows how to play some serious headgames! I’m not happy with Snow even one little bit. She keeps driving her own wedges between herself and Emma. And Charming/Hook/any other character has anything to do with her relationship with Emma. I’ve always felt a little harsh about Snowing because, as a parent, I just never bought their storyline that they’d put their child in some wardrobe not having any idea what would happen…I guess you could argue they trusted Pinocchio…but a kid??? Still not buying it. Charming has redeemed himself a lot, to me, because he looks at Emma and sees EMMA…he enjoys playing the Daddy role but he still understands that his daughter is an adult. Snow…just doesn’t get it. Still.

Well, they didn’t know Pinocchio was in there…Gepetto coerced the Blue Fairy into lying about the wardrobe only holding one person so Pinocchio could go through without anyone knowing.
The other thing that lots of people seem to forget is that they had absolutely no choice–Regina would have murdered newborn Emma if she hadn’t gone through the wardrobe. To Rumple she said, “it looks like getting rid of a baby just made my to-do list.” And then she had her knights try to kill Charming and baby Emma, and nearly succeeding in Charming’s case. I DO think Snow screwed up in this last episode; I’m not denying that, but I also think people–both viewers and characters–forget that they had no choice whatsoever in sending their baby through the wardrobe since the only other option was to watch her get murdered right before their eyes.
It’s like ever since Echo Cave, Snow and Emma have had this elephant in the room between them because Snow had to admit out loud that she wanted another baby because the relationship she had with Emma wasn’t what she wanted. And then the insensitive “well, we wanted to give him everything” comment about baby Neal (oh, and naming him “Neal”–I’d be offended if my parents named my little sibling after the person who took advantage of me as a teenager and then left me pregnant in jail for his crime…). It’s really sad to see Snow and Emma not getting along very well after their relationships (as friends and then family) in seasons one and two were so good! I hope that gets remedied soon.

No you’re not the only one. I don’t particularly like that idea. Also I thought if only one person was cursed, then the TLK or act of TL had to be focused on said person. I don’t see why Regina and Robin getting hot and heavy is in anyway an act of TL towards Marian. I don’t think they can use the TLK to break *anyone’s* curse in this instant. Perhaps if Regina somehow saves Marian’s life, or Roland maybe saves Marian’s life, or the SQ relents and stops her curse. I don’t know, it’s a mess to me. Does Marian have sister stashed in SB somewhere? What about Will? He seems to like Marian in a brotherly way, could that help her out? I really really don’t want it to be R&R’s kiss that saves her.

I think everyone believes it was just Snow that screwed up and it was unfair of her to lump her mistakes onto Charming. I also gave her the benefit of the doubt in the Echo Cave. I thought for a deep dark secret about wanting to experience motherhood b/c she missed out on the first time she phrased it pretty well. It was no worse than Emma telling Neal she wished he was dead! Poor Snow, she was damned if she didn’t give up Emma and damned if she did. Emma is sort of in a similar boat. The more time she spends with Henry the more she regrets missing out on raising him. It would be interesting to see how Henry reacts if Emma had another kidlet. Snow’s in a pretty hard place. She just had no clue how to relate to Emma as an adult (and even said so in Neverland). It must be hard for her to see Charming and Emma so close. Snow was so excited when Emma was going on a date and so emotional when she saw Emma as a teenager. This is what she missed out on and fair enough she doesn’t want to miss out on a single minute with baby Neal. So I forgive her for her foot in mouth at the class, but not when lamppost fell – that tone of voice was uncalled for.
If one is to engage with the primordial forces of darkness, one must expect a little social awkwardness

ParticipantI agree with most of all about how Charming and Snow relate to Emma. One of the sections in my true love meta deals with parental relationships and between Charming and Snow, Charming knows better how to interact best with her. I think Charming realizes it’s time past for the whole protective father thing, but he can play it up when the situation sort of calls for it. Like the date with Hook. With ‘make sure she’s not out too late’ even though Emma’s not a kid and Hook isn’t one either. It was still sweet and funny.
But with Snow, I think with her, instead of caring to learn how to be a mother now to Emma, she’s running away from it by trying be a full-time mom to Neal. Snow doesn’t want to fail Neal the same way she feels she felt she failed Emma. But Snow also doesn’t want to talk about those feelings, so they come out through her love for baby Neal.
I actually miss it when Snow and Emma talk because it doesn’t really happen anymore. The last time these two had a serious talk, I think it was ‘A Curious Thing’ last season when they were searching for the book for Henry. Prior to that, I think it was in Neverland in Ariel (3×06). I would love it if Snow took the initiative and talk to Emma. They did a lot of talking and bonding in season two when they were in Enchanted Forest.
But if they do though, I wish Snow wouldn’t force her true love values on Emma and instead actually listen to Emma. Because I could not stand that about her in the Neverland arc.

I really miss seeing those two talk as well. Snow spent more time having awful victim-blaming conversations with the woman who tormented and abused her for 40+ years than with her own daughter in 3B. That was a real shame. However, I will say I don’t think Snow was 100% responsible for their relationship deteriorating during that time–Emma kept pulling back because up until the time-traveling adventure she intended to take Henry back to New York and be done with pretty much anyone in Storybrooke.
Of course then during said adventure she thought she’d watched her mother die when Regina gleefully burned her at the stake, and since that made her realize that she DID love and care about Snow, it seemed like that was going to have a big impact on their relationship. Looking back at that whole thing and then seeing the state of their relationship now is really quite sad.

If the writers use a Robin and Regina TLK to thaw out Marian, I think that would be absolutely crap to be honest. The act of true love has to be towards Marian otherwise why couldn’t Snowing just kiss and unfreeze her? I think the clue is in the name. ACT OF TRUE LOVE does not always mean TLK. That’s what they thought initially in Frozen and it turned out to be Anna sacrificing herself for Elsa. Likewise Robin’s been working under the assumption that AoTL=TLK.
I think the writers poisoned the OQ romance and relationship when they decided to make Regina be the one who had killed Marian originally thus meaning Robin is dating his wife’s murderer. That leaves a bad taste, and no “look how great their love is” scene is ever going to make up for that fact. OQ is a poisoned well.

I generally liked the ep as well apart from the Robin scenes and Snow being mean to Emma scenes. Snow’s character has really gone downhill since season 2.

ParticipantI am with @PriceofMagic about Snow not only her character gone downhill but also her part of the story and her wardrobe too ( i know gg was pregnant but not an excuse for those clothes ) I don’t enjoy Snow’s scenes anymore for last 2 seasons . I personally think Regina or Emma is far more interesting and better moms that she is but please don’t get me wrong i love GG as a person and an actress it is just the way writers are handling with her character for the last two seasons is just so disappointing
