Ummm, not really? I think there are enough CS forums around if anyone is interested in going elsewhere. fanforum.com as you mentioned is good and respectful of all ships. forums.previously.tv/forum/236-once-upon-a-time/ has LOADS of CSers representing (I’ve seen @bo_peeps posting there). Both are good for any OUAT discussions that are not necessarily ship related. I’m back in lurking mode for the most part.

[adrotate group="5"]Question: (I’m not looking to start an argument or anything, I just want a CSer opinion on this) I’m writing a fic (it’s not a ship-based romance fic because I am crap at writing romance and ships are not the focus, it’s kind of turned into a Henry fic surprisingly)anyway, Emma and Hook are in a relationship in it (they have been for months). However, they are having difficulties. Hook wants to take the relationship with Emma to the next level, ie start sleeping together, however Emma is extremely reluctant for reasons. Emma says it’s about Henry (but it’s not) but she won’t tell Hook the real reason.
Hook is getting frustrated by this and he does ask her if it is because she doesn’t love him anymore or if it’s because of the hook. Emma does reassure Hook that she loves him but this adds to Hook’s frustration because Emma is not telling him anything. Hook still turns up to support Emma at the hospital when Henry ends up there and he goes with Emma on a dangerous and risky mission to help rescue Henry even though it would mean his life is effectively in Rumple’s hands.
Without wanting to give too much away, during this mission, Milah reappears on the scene and is obviously still in love with Hook and doesn’t realise he’s moved on. When Hook and Emma get back from this mission, with Milah and a few others in tow, Hook again broaches the subject of sleeping together with Emma but Emma shuts him down again without saying why. Again this is frustrating for Hook because Emma is literally not giving him any clues as to what’s going on with her and he knows it’s not Henry, so Hook goes off to drown his sorrows. He gets drunk and he gets chatting to Milah, one thing leads to another and they sleep together.
Next morning, Hook obviously feels guilty about this because he does love Emma and he feels conflicted because it’s Milah so he confides in Tinkerbell who advises him to make a choice and not to string the two women along. Hook resolves to come clean to Emma about what happened with Milah (because, after a little bit of soul-searching, he chooses Emma and he doesn’t think it’s right to keep this secret from her plus the risk that Emma might find out another way which would be worse) However, during the conversation with Emma, before Hook can confess, Emma admits to Hook the reason why she didn’t want to sleep together (which has to do with her own personal insecurities). Emma then agrees that they should sleep together, and even suggests they do it right then. This makes Hook feel even more guilty about what he did and his courage fails him. Because he’s feeling so guilty, he rejects Emma’s advances which confuses Emma. Hook bails to try and come up with a new plan, again seeking advice from Tinkerbell.
Long story short, Emma finds out what Hook did (either through Hook admitting it or some other way before Hook can confess- I’ve not worked that part out yet) and is quite hurt and angry with him. Hook does tell Milah that he chooses Emma which upsets Milah which in turn get someone else angry with Hook.
I’ve not planned the resolution yet, I’m going to see which way the characters take it but it’s a choice of 3 options:
1. CS split up.
2. CS split up but there is hope of reconciliation.
3. CS resolve it somehow.What option do you think Emma would do?
I don’t want Hook to look like he’s pressurising Emma for sex and then getting it elsewhere because she won’t agree to it. I want it come across that it was a moment of weakness on his part (and it wasn’t just a random woman, it was Milah) and that he does feel guilty about it. However, I don’t want it to come across that it’s “Emma’s fault” that Hook slept with Milah just because she wouldn’t sleep with him and not tell him why.
What are your thoughts?

I think Hook needs to also sit Milah down and tell her, he’s moved on with Emma, he’s happy with her. But add, Milah herself will always have a place in his heart but he truly loves Emma and wants to be with her. Hook also needs to come clean to Emma about sleeping with Milah. I think it would be awful if he kept that from her.
I don’t know what to do about Milah, she seems like the odd person out who’s not likely to get any kind of a happy ending here.

Hook intends to come clean to Emma about Milah, it’s just a question of whether she finds out before he can tell her the truth or whether she hears it from him.

I understand about the negativity. I just looked through the like/dislike thread for the last episode. It is not pretty in there.
Fanforum’s discussion thread for once actually felt the same way. But at least there, bashing is strongly discouraged.
Poor Adam and Eddy can’t seem to make anyone happy lately. Everyone’s got these headcanons on where the story should be going and when that doesn’t happen as expected the bashing starts. Plot holes? Sure, but its a fantasy show and sometimes its just more enjoyable to sit back and take it for what it is. My only big complaint about season 4 is the lack of meaningful dialog between the regulars. Maybe they should rethink doing the whole split season big bad and concentrate on the core cast. But, whatever. I haven’t been on fanform in a while. I’ll go check out their take on the last epi.
Anyway, I finally caved in an set up a tumbr acct. Don’t know if I’m going to keep it (or I may just hand it over to my daughter since her friends seem to be setting up accts). I’ll see how it goes. @obisgirl and @Lady, I just followed both of you.
