Although I am quite annoyed that the podcasts are not unbiased and fail to mention the very OBVIOUS CS hints in the episode and the parallels and the foreshadowing. This isn’t something you could twist. Hook’s facial expression, the whole happy endings talk and looking at Emma after saying it and the pan literally panning to her. Just very obvious stuff, that anyone could pick up.
You mean the official podcast? Because the interviewer is totally a Swan Thief ‘shipper. I wouldn’t expect to hear any CS questions pop up on there anytime soon. Probably, the only time it would be addressed is when we see a heavy romantic moment between then, like a kiss probably. Even though, the reaction would be, on Emma’s part anyway: it’s totally rebound or something silly.

Related to that, I have been noticing how much podcasts have expressed their ship preferences. I think podcasts should try to be neutral when it comes to ships because then it feels very one sided. Even if it is a CS preferred podcaster, I don’t think they should encourage taking sides of the fandom. The podcasts are supposed to being the fandom together.
I noticed it has been very bad lately for multiple podcasts. It turns me off of listening to them. Sorry, end of rant!
I enjoyed the Hook/Emma scenes in ep 1. I like where this season is going.

First reaction: I liked it! In my opinion everything that happened between Emma and Killian had a meaning and we’ll see lots of good stuff in the upcoming season I’m sure. I have to watch it again to really analyze everything. RL is getting in the way right now…

Um, yes please to all of the above! I’m definitely curious about what the others are referring to as well of course but these 3 really jumped out at me as possibly very good things for our ship!
A little worried about who might be fatally injured since they just killed off the most expendable of the bunch, but hopefully if it’s someone we like they can be saved!
It’s been said that Hook is supposed to save Charming from some kind of “thorny” situation so that can only be good for us. Yay for bonding moments! I can’t wait for Snowing to realize that like it or not, Hook has given up everything to help them when he had no good reason to do so since they have all betrayed him. He didn’t even complain about his ship!
So in love with all the reaction shots we got in 3×01. I mean really, almost every time Emma opened her mouth we saw Hook reacting to it and most of those were extremely caring, concerned, or proud. We definitely saw more of KILLIAN come out this episode. Emma really does bring out the best in him. He knows they’re kindred spirits and he isn’t fighting it at this point. He knows what she needs and backs off the sillyness accordingly. Then we’re shown things like him holding his breath until she coughed up the water. Being proud of her at the end of her speech just like Charming. Incredible.
Something that I’ve seen pointed out but that I really really love is that Emma doesn’t drink with just anyone. In fact of the guys, she’s turned Neal down for a drink the two times we’ve seen him ask, she just looked at August incredulously but agreed ONLY so that she would find out what he was up to because he was talking to her kid, Graham she shut down even thinking he was getting her the drink which was actually from Henry, and then we have Hook. He doesn’t even have to ask. He knows she needs one…that THEY need one, to mourn their friend, and she just looks up incredulously and says “Thanks.”
He watched her be upset with her family and heard Rumple upset her and she went below decks to get some space which she presumably had for a little while, and then he went down to check on her. To make sure that she was ok. That scene was one of the nicest, and quietest moments and so underrated but very touching. These two GET each other.
Also fun? Hook’s reaction to Charming whining about having to work with Regina and Hook. It was a long reaction shot that was like “Really? After everything I’ve done you don’t think I want to help?” It was overly exaggerated and they made a point of showing it and I couldn’t help but laugh. Charming’s a tough nut to crack but I really think he’ll appreciate Hook being a man of action and eventually they’re bound to get along and not just every once in awhile. They have a lot more in common than first meets the eye.
I really loved the looks Charming was giving out too though. He got all protective/menacing as if to show Hook he better not screw up if he’s going to let him tag along and help because Emma said they had to ALL work together. Reminded me of the protective glares that Hook was giving Rumple, both in the season 2 finale and the season 3 premiere. Protective from a distance but trusting her to handle herself at the same time and ready to jump in if needbe. Love it!
Can’t wait til we get more pics or sneaks. Chomping at the bit for 3×02 for sure!

Ok this may sound weird and might belong in another thread, but I saw this on another site. Anyways this poster said that Hook has pointy ears and I think she/he is right. It’s not quite every shot, but in a lot of them his ears look a little pointed to me and this poster. I think it’s kinda sexy.

You know the CS theme we heard briefly in Tallahassee? And how Jen and Colin have called Emma and Hook kindred spirits? What if Mark Isham calls that CS theme “kindred spirits” ? I mean, you know he’s going to release another volume of the soundtrack after season 3 ends and the CS theme has to be on there.

This is why I don’t listen to the poscast anymore. The last time I heard it, I didn’t feel like there was enough attention given to Hook, and I was getting sick on the same old stuff. Not that I don’t like the other characters, but I mean come on, you feed somebody too much sugar and they get sick, right? If there’s no talk about my favorite character, I’m not going to be interested.

My liking for CaptainSwan varies. When Hook is being a cheeky chap like in Tallahassee and 301, I am quite open to CaptainSwan, but when he is hurting Belle or Rumple, I don’t want him anywhere near Emma.
Hopefully, now that Hook has gotten over his revenge and stopped trying to hurt Rumple by any means, his cheeky side will be more prominent and I could actually see Emma and Hook having a relationship of some sort.
