I absolutely loved that A&E confirmed what we’ve been saying all along. That you say stuff in the heat of the moment and Emma did this with Mar Margaret and David, she called them mom and dad and later confirmed that she said that because she thought they were going to die. Also that, when Emma reunites with Neal, she’s not going to run into his arms and forget the 11 years of hurt because of him.
I loved the kiss comment. I hope the youtube version gets up soon. I think I might have missed stuff because I was out.

Everything after the kiss comment I missed because I was too busy freaking out. Except I managed to catch the Neal part. Lol.
It just goes to show: CS shippers have been predicting everything pretty accurately since day 1.

Agreed agreed agreed! Bless JMO, she handles everything so beautifully even when potentially horrible stuff is thrown at her. Her answers were perfect!
Some thoughts:
The kiss thing – so excited! She teased that her favorite CS scene hasn’t come up yet and today there’s a tease about a KISS as well as talking about how Hook has been impressing her and being a “TRUE HELP” – uh, things we’ve been saying all along! His dialogue has always been about offering her help if only she’d trust him and they make a great team and guys they’re working together as a team right now in NL and just, ahhh feels.
They mentioned that wonderful CS scene in the previously on as in…it’s gonna be important! (I know this was already said but major gushing going on for sure!)
THANK YOU JMO. Seriously. Apparently it wasn’t enough LAST WEEK when Emma told Snow that she only said that stuff cause she thought they were dying. That was blatant, WITHIN THE SHOW canon that Emma still has unresolved issues with people who have hurt her in the past and that it WON’T be swept under a rug! Same goes for Henry it would seem. They ALL have a lot of past resentment and things to work up to! It’s like Neal when Rumple was dying – he hasn’t forgiven him for everything but still loves him deep down. Same with Emma and her relationship with Snowing. She’ll love them and worry about them but underneath it all, NOTHING can erase those painful years growing up alone and feeling abandoned.
The fact that JMO actually outright said in a defensive way for Emma that Neal showing up wouldn’t erase 10 years of pain made me so happy. It should have been fairly obvious they set that up last week big time on the show, but to non-CSers I guess some still thought the portal scene was the end-all, be-all of Swanfire which is WAY too OOC for Emma. They have issues that need to be dealt with and I’m so happy at least one character is addressing that! (And that it’s Emma!)
By the end of the episode, we should know who Regina is supposed to be with. THANK GOODNESS. Then we can knock it off with all of her ships and just know so that more people don’t get their hopes up for something. It’s always sad when ANY headcanon is dashed but I’d like season 3 to be a cementing of any of the big relationships as far as canon TL goes. Regina isn’t supposed to have even met the guy yet which pretty much leaves Robin Hood and I think they’ll be a good fit (plus he has a kid which should make her happy). I just don’t want more of the constant shipper drama, so having anything nailed down is a good thing. Headcanons and wishes are fun, but there’s always fanfiction. I’m sick of people getting their hopes up only to be shut down bigtime and feeling like they’ve been led on / lied to and taking it out on A&E, regardless of the ship.
Seriously excited and need this episode now! I’ll be away most of the rest of the evening tonight (grr!) but at least we’re getting close to the episode finally. Every ep this season so far has had amazing stuff for us and I hope that continues! (Pretty sure it will!)
Parallels are huge on this show and we’ve seen some pretty blatant ones within episodes:
Tallahassee – Emma’s past with Neal compared to her present with Hook (don’t really need to elaborate on this here, do I?) 😉
Manhattan – Emma/Neal compared to Milah/Rumple (perfect comparison really). It WAS tragic for Rumple but he BELONGS with Belle. Similar circumstances all around, especially with Neal doing whatever he can right now to get back to Emma, like Rumple doing what he had to to get home to Milah & Bae. Yes it will be sad for Neal because he’s had a horrible life like Rumple did, but it’s also their choices that have gotten them to these points where relationships (yes, even relationships with kids) fall apart and it just means something better is down the line for him. Right NOW he is focused on getting to Emma and Henry, but it is not Emma’s responsibility to make things right for a guy who’s had a screwed up life. It’s her responsibility to choose what is right FOR HER. Have faith! (And trust and um…pixie dust?) 😉
Lost Girl – CaptainSwan to Snowing. Need I say more?
All of this gives me hope that these things have been set up for a reason. I feel like history is repeating itself in a way but that it won’t be as bad as last time around because they will have learned from their mistakes (ie: Neal won’t even try to take Emma’s heart as punishment for her choosing Hook so he won’t become his father). The idea of this season seems to be learn from the past, embrace who you are NOW, and find a way to move forward – otherwise they’d all basically be in jail and there would be no story. They have to try to redeem themselves and embrace who they are NOW and who they want to become. No more living in the past. In fact, Lost Girl’s scene with RumBelle was literally a “let go of the past” scene. Some characters have farther to go than others but I truly think they’ll all find their happy endings and who they’re MEANT to be with, not who anybody else wants them with, or who they’ve thought they were supposed to be with.
They’ve shown over and over again that Hook has given up everything to help Emma. He’s going out of his way to protect her loved ones as well, and is impressing her every step of the way! Can’t wait til we get more of his backstory 3×05!!! So close! And it’s supposed to help us see why he & Emma are such kindred spirits, yay! . While they’re emphasizing that both men in her life are pretty focused on her right now, we’re getting to see Emma open up to Hook more. She GENUINELY SMILED when he complimented her on her patience and figuring out the map! SHE FLIRTED BACK before her walls went up when she found out the man truly wanted to know the real her better. She IS focused on getting to Henry but it doesn’t make her BLIND to the fact that an amazing man who is basically everything she’s ever DREAMED of (aka: respects her, comes back for her, supports her, DOES WHAT HE SAYS HE WILL DO, etc etc) is standing right in front of her and PROVING himself to her through actions and not words! Thank goodness JMO, at the very least, is not letting the past slide with Neal. After all, she’s the one that wanted Charming to punch him in the face last year and that was WITHOUT and BEFORE all the Neverland stuff where it has become OBVIOUS that Hook is making strides.
That with the fact that other cast members who seemed to outright HATE the idea last season are saying hmm, there might be a case to be made here, you’ll have to wait and see *cough* Ginny/Josh *cough* is a big deal for us! As well as their emphasis on EMMA choosing. Thank goodness more are seeing it and hopefully realizing the setup has been there all along!
Ok gotta go, wedding to get to in a little bit but so excited after this panel! 1 more day to a new ep!
