Not sure about the making it out alive part when we get images like this! I seriously want the context and to see her get all flustered and the emotion on his face in that pic is already killing me. Can it be Sunday yet so we get the new ep and the promo and then jump to NEXT Sunday so we can see this play out? Please?
Also welcome back to all the CSers who haven’t been here in awhile! We may be small (here) but we are mighty! It’s a good day to be a CSer, even if it just a kiss – it’s a start!
LOVE that she is initiating it though. And as Captain Eala pointed out, it is reminiscent of a Snowing kiss! I need this clip! I need it! I haven’t rewatched an episode right away in forever but I think this one will be a necessity. Lots of Killian feels and CS feels and…ahh, how am I supposed to function for the next 1.5 weeks knowing this??

Something I just thought of. When JMO was asked what her favorite episode was, she said “It’s always fun when you get to kiss somebody.”
Now, that totally could have been her reasoning…or a fun flirty way to tease us LIKE CRAZY. Or she has other reasons. Either way, it sounds like she said that 3×05 aka Hook’s backstory is her favorite episode! That just makes me even MORE excited for it. I really hope the context is wonderful and beautiful and that she gets totally flustered but it’s all cute.
Plus uh…last time we were teased JUST LIKE THAT? Was a drink…and we got 3 (and counting). Just saying…

Also a way more interesting note I hadn’t even thought of? THIS IS THE FIRST TIME WE SEE HOOK KISS ANYONE. We never saw him kiss Milah, the woman he spent centuries trying to avenge. Nope, we see him kiss EMMA. Now tell me that is not remotely significant.
Plus the last time she kissed someone, their fate ended up the same way as the last time HE kissed someone. THIS IS BIG FOR BOTH OF THEM. It’s massive.
Now, I would like to think they are not trolling us for ratings (and it would be rather stupid of them as I’m sure it just ticks off every other fanbase) so I’m going to hope that they’re doing this to get us excited for the pairing that is going to survive. Otherwise they’re doing a horrible job marketing Neal for this season and are in extreme stealth mode or something. Personally I’m going with VIVA LA CAPTAINSWAN.

Yep agreed with all of that. They aren’t hyping up Neal AT ALL, didn’t even give him a proper “believe” poster. If they wanted to hype up the triangle they could have shown us a scene with all three. If they wanted to hype up Swanfire they would have given us a reunion picture.
But no. They’re giving us Captain Swan. Anytime Neal is mentioned it’s in relation to Captain Swan. He’s their obstacle.

There’s going to be capslock people!!!
I don’t know where to start. Oh here, let’s look at it again:
GOD can we just talk about how Emma is CLINGING to him, and he to her, like they’re never going to let go. And he just has an expression on his face and you can tell he thinks that she is the most precious thing in the whole universe. Their foreheads are pressed together, and that’s a huge sign of intimacy. Their eyes are closed, and they are just CONSUMED with each other.
I’ve seen some SFs trying to downplay this kiss. But i’m sorry, it’s just impossible. Trying to make out that it’s “just” because she’s emotional; yes but that is what makes it so ASTRONOMICALLY HUGE. When Henry died did she hop into Doctor Whale’s arms? When Graham died did she go out and find the nearest hot guy? NO. That’s NOT how Emma works. She keeps her emotional turmoil INSIDE. THE FACT THAT SHE’S LETTING IT OUT WITH KILLIAN IS HUGE. SHE TRUSTS HIM.
NOT TO MENTION THAT THE LAST MAN SHE KISSED DIED IN HER ARMS. And that man, Graham, was originally intended to be Captain Hook. But since they couldn’t get the rights at that time, instead they made Gremma, and that into a parallel with Killian – they have both lost people to heart ripping.
And the fact that SHE is the one initiating it (like we freaking said may I just point out), not merely going along with things. HUGE. I remember when we first got talk of the kiss last week – we were SCOFFED at for thinking she was going to initiate it.
The other ships have had to backtrack and backtrack and backtrack with every scene of our perfect Captain Swan together, always had to change, they always had to re-evaluate. But we haven’t. Our momentum has been barreling on towards the only thing that makes sense – that Captain Swan are endgame.
It’s hot, the chemistry is palpable. But so is the vulnerability because they are clinging to each other for dear life. It’s going to be a huge emotional moment, and in that moment Emma will let down her walls and give in to her feelings for Killian Jones. Because she has them, and ANYONE who denies that at this point is delusional. Of course, then she’s going to freak out, her walls will slam back up, and she’ll probably pretend nothing happened or downplay it (AND GOD poor Killian will be so hurt). But it’ll be there. The memory. And then of course Neal will come back and there will be guilt and more emotional turmoil from all parties. BUT EMMA WILL CHOSE HOOK (eventually after a lot of drama). She is CHOOSING to kiss him, she “would pick him” and he “chose” her. At the end of the day it all comes down to Emma’s choice – and it has already been established in previous dialogue together.
And the Snowing parallels. Because jeez, that kiss in 3×02 and 3×05 are identical. Just one more parallel in a long series. If any of you have any doubt about the endgame-ness of our ship, stop doubting now. Because like i said – they’re focusing on Captain Swan. The whole structure of this season has been about seeing them as a power couple, they’re trying to get people to root for them and ship the heck out of them and want more kisses and want them to be together. They’re setting Killian up as the partner for our main character and MARKETING them together.
I’ve seen so many different ships for Hook and i’m just aghast, because they DO NOT get Killian Jones AT ALL. This man spent 300 years avenging his love. He’s IN LOVE with Emma. He’s being redeemed from his dark revenge filled past FOR AND BY HIS LOVE FOR EMMA. AND WE ARE SEEING THE RESULTS IN THE ABOVE PICTURE. He’s not just going to fall in love with anyone else, it would be completely out of character. Emma is it for him. HIS SECOND AND LAST CHANCE FOR A HAPPY ENDING. He’s not going to get redeemed by his love for her and just sail off into the sunset with someone else.
They are going to be an EPIC True Love, just like Snowing. They’re going to trust each other and fight for each other and choose each other and overcome obstacles to be together and they bring out the BEST in each other which is what TL does. Emma does NOT bring out the best in Neal. NOT IN ANY WAY.
So yeah, if you think that Captain Swan are anything other than endgame..
YOU ARE WRONG.

I have to share this: I met up with a friend of mine today, who is a Oncer, too. I told her about the picture and that we were all freaking out and that it’s hot and all – and finally they kiss and everything. I must’ve looked like a complete idiot rambling about Emma kissing Captain Hook out in the open – the people passing by looked at us like we’re crazy. 😀 My friend isn’t into CS and doesn’t like Neal, so not into SF either. An hour or so later I couldn’t help myself, grabbed my smartphone and showed her the picture – she looked at me with her mouth open and started to scream out loud: “OMG, wow – I totally thought you were exaggerating and reading all kinds of things in a picture, but you’re right!! This is hot as hell – OMG can’t handle it!” And I just grinned at her like crazy (as I have been doing all day after I saw the picture).
I’m so happy that this is happening. We’ve seen it right from the start, for a year now. We had to justify our ship at least once a day and we had to remind everyone that there’s more to our beloved Captain than you see. Wow, I hope that these two find their way and be together forever. And they lived happily ever after. Amen. 🙂

My previous comment didn’t post because the forums broke 🙁
So, this was a kiss between Snowing in Lost Girl.
And this is what we got today!
Between Emma and Hook.
A few things here to note:
Snowing has been an awesome parallel to CS so far. And the first pic of Snowing kissing, mirrors the same body language shared between Emma and Hook in the second. The way Snow/Emma grab the lapels of the jacket. I loved how JMo described the moment as “very human” . Just read an awesome analysis of this on tumblr . The meta made some very interesting points.
JMo could have used animalistic, which would mean lust, passion, raw — which I love my saucy NC-17 fanfiction too — but “human” — that takes on a whole other different meaning. It’s a real connection between them. I have a sneaking feeling even after we get this kiss, there’s still going to be tension between Emma and Hook. A kiss that is ‘very human’ like that isn’t something that’s going to go away. Tension will still be there after the kiss.
It’s also interesting to note that two times we’ve seen Emma in the present kiss a guy (present, not a flashback), it’s been her to initiate said kiss. She did it with Graham and it’s happening with Hook.
