hook up with Neal.

No, I don’t think she will go running back to Neal. I think it might be more of a situation where Emma and Neal end up together (only temporarily) if Hook steps back thinking he is doing the right thing out of guilt because of all the emotions he could have about Neal – they could end up together thinking they are doing the right thing for Henry. But, again, this wouldn’t really be Emma choosing Neal. I think that the trust issues with Neal will always be there for Emma and just because someone was your first love doesn’t mean that you should end up with them. I think this would only happen if Hook struggles with guilt over Neal – which I think is possible because he is obviously thinking more about his time with Baelfire since he has been in NL. But I don’t think it would be a long term thing – I do think they could stretch it out for awhile but it could give Emma even more time to realize that she really loves Hook and is choosing him from a healthy place.
But in the end I think that Hook will always remain true to his philosophy that a man who isn’t willing to go after want he wants deserves what he gets (or whatever it was that he said) and will go after her. . . if only to rescue us from a severe lack of chemistry between Emma and Neal as soon as possible!!!!

In the pilot we see the two dolls on pedestals overlooking Emma’s crib in the nursery. A suit of armor (we’ve seen Charming wear one) and a pirate doll wearing a Captain’s hat. That doll has also been seen in a later episode standing next to a sheep (and David used to be a shepherd)
These things have been there from the pilot. Also in the pilot? Charming having to fight one-handed to save his baby girl at all costs. His left hand is literally of no use in the fight because he is holding Emma in his left arm. He has handicapped himself in order to get her to safety, charging clear across the castle to get her into the wardrobe.
Who else has to fight one-handed but will do whatever it takes to protect the people he loves and happens to care a lot about our blonde savior who was in the arms of her other protector the last time that HE had to fight one-handed? Why that would be Hook
I’ve been meaning to make a banner sig ever since I found out about the pirate doll and suit of armor but gave myself massive feels about the outfit when I saw the stills for 3×05 in which Colin is his usual adorkable self in the old time uniforms! It is *slightly different* the doll is wearing a blue jacket and red pants but I really love what young Killian Jones is wearing so I’ll let it slide. It’s still clearly wearing a captain’s hat and we know that Hook is an officer-turned-pirate captain so I’ll take it!
SO EXCITED for 3×05 and YAY for Hook and Emma being preliminarily nominated for a Peoples Choice Award. The site has been slow or crashing but don’t give up! Lots of OUAT nominations which is awesome!
Looks like there’s a Snowing kiss as well as a CaptainSwan one in 3×05 (yay parallels!) and in one of the stills while the Snowing kiss is taking place, Regina looks off in the distance with a look of shock on her face and Emma is coming back into frame while the Snowing kiss is happening like she may have just been off in the woods with a little “goodbye, good luck, come back safely” kiss of her own possibly? Still not sure WHERE in the episode this will happen but I did have to wonder at the look on Regina’s face and what she could possibly be seeing where Hook and Emma are off in that direction and Emma is coming back in to frame after that….
If it IS a seemingly a goodbye kiss, since Charming is afraid he might not make it back and is saying goodbye to Snow who doesn’t seem to know for sure what’s up yet, Emma could be having a moment with Hook going over the plan cause I don’t think the girls like the guys splitting off from them. It’s dangerous, tensions are already high. I could see the ADORABLE SMIRK on Hook’s face before the kiss being something along the lines of whether she’d be worried about him or miss him if something happened to him and this time she DOESN’T STAND ON CEREMONY (yay) and just kisses him and then in that beautiful moment after the kiss where they look like they’re clinging to each other and needing each other more than anything he says something about always coming back for her and then kissing her on the forehead like Charming does with Snow cause that would be so perfect! – I’m seriously dying to know what is said leading up to and following that kiss because FEELS but this is my current perfect-world headcanon based on the 3×05 stills!
And yes, I will take any Snowing/CaptainSwan parallels within the same episode as I can get! Also yay for bonding time for Captain Charming!
With regards to the Charming telling Hook to stay away from Emma scene. I really really hope that we get him saying it’s Emma’s choice and that there’s eventually a time when Emma finds out what was said – my preference would be for her to sit down with Charming sometime when she’s all confused because he’s been in that situation and I want her to tell him about the history with Neal and have him say something like “I told Hook the same thing but he didn’t listen” or “he said it was your choice to make, not his.” I want father/daughter bonding time (and looks like we at least get a hug this ep! With Snow watching and looking worried – think she’s starting to suspect Charming’s injury for sure.)

I mean, we’re getting a Snowing kiss – and we haven’t seen a kiss between them in NL yet – and it looks like it’s at the BEGINNING of the episode.
And Captain Swan are probably going to kiss at the END of the episode

Thought it was interesting. Since you know, Emma is not ACTIVELY trying to prevent anything. I’m sure that others will try to twist this somehow to suit them. But it doesn’t change facts – Emma is not CONCIOUSLY trying to block Neal.

I like that. There will be some time when Hook will think he can’t do it again. He can’t destroy Bae’s family again. It’ll all come back to him. But after thinking about it he will – like you said – fight for her. Because: “A man unwilling to fight for what he wants, deserves what he gets.” 😉 And YES to Emma and Neal having NO chemistry. I thought this from the very beginning – for me they never had any kind of chemistry, no connection, no sparks flying between them. IMO Emma even had more chemistry with August than she has with Neal.
Love the stills from 3×05. I’m so happy to FINALLY see Killians backstory. They made us wait a long time. I’d have liked to see backstory way earlier. Well, I think they planned to but then Colin broke his leg.
Looking at the tweet I think this is another point pro CS. Neal isn’t actively preventing Emma from knowing he’s alive – if anything it’s the opposite!! He wants her to know he’s alive, but she thinks he’s dead. For me this is a huge sign that Emma does not love Neal anymore.

I only just now noticed how Killian looked at Emma when she was telling Regina that she learned to never break in somewhere without knowing a way out from Neal. Charming talked to him already but his glance lingered on Emma longer as if he wanted to check shes ok. As if he wanted to read her reaction to admitting that. He puts her first everything else. He looks out for her. Wow, one look and I’m dying with feels again. *crying*
@moraha, @rumplegoldfan, I used to think exactly what you do, that Killian would step back for a while and allow Neal and Emma to try to work things out. But I honestly no longer think that’s what’s going to happen.
While Neal and Emma did have a relationship and a child together Neal monumentally messed up with her, and it was over a long time ago, as Emma herself said. Killian has surmised most of this i’m sure – he knows that she still loves Neal but he also knows that Neal hurt Emma very badly, so badly that she couldn’t trust her own instincts about Killian on top of the beanstalk.
Killian values choice. He didn’t ask Milah to leave her family and go with him – she chose to. He waited for Emma to make the first move on top of the beanstalk – because he knew she was wary of him and that she would have to decide for herself. He told her that the next time she didn’t need to wonder about if she could make a move on him again because he was open to whatever she would decide – “next time don’t stand on ceremony”.
And yes, we are probably going to see Neal attack Killian – “you’re destroying/stealing my family again!” but the truth is that Neal, Emma and Henry were NEVER a family. Never. And that was Neal’s own fault. So Killian is not destroying anything.
Milah is not anyone’s possession but her own – it’s impossible to steal her. She isn’t an object that can be traded back and forth. In my opinion it wasn’t Killian’s fault whatsoever. And Killian is not responsible for Neal’s happiness – Neal is.
Killian undoubtedly feels awful for having feelings for Emma, because of Milah and Bae, but at the end of the day he will respect her choice. He sees her as his happy ending. He’s not just going to sail off into the sunset and allow Swanfire to be together, because that would be taking away Emma’s choice in the matter, and that would be out of character for him.
Also IMO it would be out of character for Emma to be so indecisive that she would go back to Neal before deciding “oh no wait, Hook!” or vice versa. Now, I also believe that this “choice” will be on her mind a lot, especially when they finally #SaveHenry (lol). But we also have to keep in mind that this is Once – most of the time there’s so much action going on that nobody can take a breather, never mind that Emma will be able to ponder her choice between them at her leisure. She will be well aware that there are two men vying for her affections. But there’ll be too much going on.
Here’s where I enter with some theories. Feel free to ignore them. IMO Pan has been very obviously targeting Emma, and he clearly wants something from her. He wants her to feel isolated and alone, and so far it’s been working. Pan has them all “where he wants them”. Ugh that kid is creepy. Anyway. I think that Killian would be a detriment to his plan to keep Emma isolated and alone, because she is developing strong feelings for him. So when they get back to SB that’s where the real action and the main part of this PP arc will take place there. We also have to keep in mind that the Home Office is still in the real world, and somehow, through them, Emma and Killian will be separated. Either in the second part of season 3 or in season 4. IMO it would be the ultimate Snowing parallel and so would make sense to me – because they will be fighting to find each other. Also, how best for PP to make Emma feel more alone than to re-enact her abandonment… Emma’s ultimate insecurity. Somehow Emma will find out that Killian leaving wasn’t voluntary, and it is this separation which will force Emma to face the fact that she LOVES Killian and thus Neal will eventually realise the same thing. I think it would be the best way for Neal to learn that Emma loves Killian.
Okay, sorry about that. Theory rambling over!
