ParticipantNever noticed the scarf! That’s my favorite scene from Tallahassee so it’s sweet that their keepsake makes an appearance. 🙂
Poor Emma – while she’s willing to do it I think it’s going to be tough to keep tying him up and leaving him places and she always looks guilty. She basically told him the first time she did that it was because she felt herself wanting to trust him and it was too dangerous. The past is the past, she’s a new fairytale character who grew up in a modern world…nothing has to be too predictable and just because Henry deserves to have both / all his parents in his life doesn’t mean that they have to end up together (though they’ll probably be endgame so that Henry gets his happy ending of getting his family back together, grr…can’t they just all be in his life and love him and get along but love other people?!?!?)
Hopefully this does bode well for the chance of a love…square? As long as Hook is given a chance to fight for it because Neal clearly hasn’t earned it. Sorry but the “I knew where you’d be, Pinocchio even sent me the postcard as promised but once I knew you were one of them I decided it was better to toss you in jail, get engaged to somebody else, and stay far far away from my dad so uh, have a good life but we have our son to worry about so keep me around” is really not working for me right now so bring on CaptainSwan! (Like I didn’t want this ship badly enough as it is!)

ParticipantI’m not too concerned if Emma leaves him. Because the directors did say at the paley fest that he would turn up unexpectadely in a fun way. But I have a feeling that she might take him along anyway, otherwise how else will he get back to SB without getting hit by another car, and he doesn’t even know the way.
MysteryKat25 – I can tell you now that Emma/Neal aren’t ‘endgame’. Henry can still have noth his parents, they just wont be together. And there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. My mother was married before she met my father and she had my older sister with her first husband. She still stays in contact with him (only for my half sister), but it works for us. I know that they say that this is a ‘family show’, but I think some people are taking that way too literally. You can still be a family and have divorced parents.
As for the love triangle. Well, let me start off by saying that when Neal told Emma he was engaged, the look she had was hurt. But that hurt wasn’t because she loves him or wants to get back with him (as Rumple said – he was only manipulating her though. Hes quite good at that, as he did create the curse), Emma was hurt because for 11 years she has lived with his betrayal, and has been unable to trust anyone else or get close to anyone because of him. Now she meets him again and she finds out that while she was living with her pain and putting her walls up etc. Neal is off getting engaged and happy. That was my first thought when I saw her reaction. And I’m not saying this because I know that Emma/Hook are true love. It was all in her expression. And also the fact that it was already stated that she doesnt love him.
Ok, back to the love triangle. I think there will be one. Neal might still have feelings for Emma. But I think the triangle would be more about Henry. Neal wants to be in Henry’s life and he’ll be fighting for that. Because as soon as Hook/Emma get together, (and I’m just guessing here) Neal may be seeing less of Henry. So his target is to be with Henry, not with Emma (but its possible that he may fight for Emma too).
I personally don’t like Neal. And this has absolutely nothing to do with me wanting Hook/Emma. Neal is a coward just like his father, and he is extremely selfish. In ‘Manhattan’ when he sees Emma, rather than apologise or be nice to her at least, he starts yelling at her for bringing his father here. After everything he has done to her. He only thinks of himself, and I can’t stand that.
I just wanted to get all that out. Get ready for some major Captain Swan ‘feels’ in the upcoming episodes! 😀
Also, I just wanted to add. Something big, major happened between Emma/Hook. The way everyone was so smug and acted like they knew something. So my guess is they filmed a kiss scene with Emma/Hook or they have read a script for an upcoming episode that they haven’t filmed yet that includes Emma/Hook first kiss. There’s being smug, then theres being very smug, and then theres being over the top smug – and they definately reached over the top smug.

Yes..that’s what I said..?
It’s not a bad thing!
They were being smug as in they’re pleased, they know something big we don’t, they’re stirring up the fans by telling them big things are coming our way to get everyone pumped and exicted…
I really don’t know what you mean. Are you confused by the term ‘smug’ or you didn’t see them (especially the directors) being smug?March 4, 2013 at 6:53 am #176801MysteryKat25
ParticipantJolly Roger – I completely agree with you. However I am afraid that our definition of endgame and the writers definition of endgame could be two entirely different things. That’s my fear anyway.
I’d like to see them do something new and different and have Emma be a true product of FTL + our world and go for the choice that leaves Henry with all of his family in a non-traditional way just because that is real life. He’s lucky enough to have everybody in his life to begin with now. I really really hope that we get longterm CaptainSwan but I’m not going to stop worrying until they have both clearly moved on.
Emma is a NEW fairy tale character so on the bright side there’s isn’t anything that says she must with (insert name here) like most of the rest of the characters. Emma being the product of true love was important but she was born in FTL where things are a little different. Hopefully they don’t make it so that Henry is too so that we’re stuck. I’m kinda enjoying the fact that Emma can be with whomever and we can watch it unfold as a new fairy tale rather than all the ones we know have to end up together eventually. It’s refreshing and frankly I think SwanFire undermines that whole idea a little bit. I can see why they’d go there but I refuse to give up hope.
Oh and I think it’s that “smug” has a negative connotation perhaps? They definitely looked like they knew something and I was jumping for joy. *Fingers crossed we get lots of CaptainSwan goodness out of it!*
PS: Does anybody know where I can find a great Hook icon/avatar that isn’t being used by anyone else? With as much as I have to try to defend him I might as well use him as my pic!

I agree, especially with Emma being a ‘new’ fairytale character. It certainly does make it interesting.
As for the avatar, I just go on google images for my pictures etc. so I don’t really know.Oh and I think it’s that “smug” has a negative connotation perhaps?
Ohh.. that’s what they meant. It depends on the context it’s used. Haha don’t worry I didn’t mean it in a bad way, definately not! If you go back to the video, you’ll see especially the directors when they were talking about Hook/Emma they had smug smirks on their faces. They were enjoying themselves because they know a lot of big things we don’t concerning Hook/Emma 😀

I have the same problem most of the time. In this particular case I’d guess it was the emoticon to blame. It looked rather…worried.
Either way I’m realllly happy about the looks they were giving each other at PaleyFest…anybody think they put them on opposite ends of the panel for a reason?? (Poor Colin having to hobble all the way down to the end…)

Wait, you were you joking? I’m so sorry, I didn’t get that. Hahah, don’t worry humor is very hard to convey over the internet 😀

I never thought about that. Now that you mention it, it is common sense to let the person who broke their leg walk to the chair closest to him, not the one at the very end. It must have been done for a reason then, but I fail to see what the reason was..?
Well done in spotting that though 😀 -
