Hook/Killian has always been intended to be a romantic character – he became a pirate out of love to get revenge on his corrupt king, he became a villain out of love in order to avenge Milah, and he is changing again due to his love for Emma. Love is his principle driving force. Everything he has done has been because of love, or because he didn’t have love. I think, for me, his biggest flaw is his tendency to go straight to vengefulness. But AGAIN, that’s what makes CS so good together, because Emma has tempered that tendency – he gave up his revenge for her.
…for her love.
Killian: It’s what the kiss exposed. My secret is…I never thought I would be capable of letting go of my first love [his revenge in her name], my Milah…to believe that I could find someone else…that is until I met you.
His dark secret will forever be the most romantic moment on this show…until we get the next romantic CS moment that will blow us away. But his confession, him admitting that, in the way he did, came from a place of love and acceptance.

tend to get very protective of Emma, fictional character or not!
Emma wasn’t my favorite character when the show started but certainly after we saw her backstory in Tallahassee, omg, I’m rooting for her happiness. I’m a big cheerleader for CS and always will be but also her happiness too and I hope, she discovers that her happiness is with him.

Hmmmmm… found something interesting. Especially since we have confirmation that the pirate/navy doll was placed in Emma’s nursery on purpose. I think from that we can also assume that the beanstalk pictures etc. in her nursery were also placed there deliberately to foreshadow Killian. More possible Killian foreshadowing:
Marine garage.
A helm in the bakery window (a helm? in a bakery? a bit odd wouldn’t you say….. 😉 )
A pirate keychain.
But what is reeeeeeeeeally funny is that the men in all these three pictures?
Were pictures of her past suitors.
I don’t know. Seems like too much of a coincidence to me.
