:O oh my goodness, I thought this place would be full of thoughts!!! Where is everyone??? Lol! Sorry i didn’t post anything coherent last night, i was too overwhelmed with “As you wish milady” hehehe.
Loved the scene with Regina and Emma (because Neal was kind of off to the side in this convo) where Regina referred to Neal as “this person”. Not as “Henry’s father”. Not “your person”. Which would be a safe assumption to make after all – Emma diverted the mission to #SaveHenry to go and save Neal from the Echo Cave, and Neal is Henry’s biological father. And especially when in 3×03 Snow shot Regina’s boyfriend comment down by saying “she just lost Neal” indicating that Neal is important in Emma’s life. But Regina doesn’t see this – she refers to Neal in almost an insulting way – as an unknown entity who has shown up from nowhere and has no connection to anyone there. To sum up – Regina had no hesitation calling Killian Emma’s boyfriend 6 episodes ago – she would have done the same with Neal if she saw something there. But she didn’t.
Anyway, then she AGAIN makes a CS connection – she has noted that Killian is pining after Emma. And only 6 or so episodes ago she thought that Emma was EQUALLY pining over him – “you think it’s a good plan because your boyfriend said so?” And it’s really interesting because their connection is something that Regina can clearly see – she wasn’t present in the Echo Cave when Killian told everyone his secret.
Another thing i absolutely *squee’d* at was when Emma said that she was reminded today that she has lots of people who love her – and Killian is one of those people. Emma knows that he is in love with her – her line proved that, because it was Regina who reminded her that she is loved by her parents, Neal and Killian. So yeah, we’re getting hit over the head yet again how much Killian is in love with Emma. Anyone who denies it at this stage is purposefully burying their own head in the sand to be quite honest.
Loved when Killian restrained Felix with his hook – he was totally getting protective of Emma and it was adorable.
The Pixie Woods scene – this episode showed that Emma knows that Neal was a Lost Boy, and thus would know the island very well. But she asks Killian about it. YET AGAIN. I mean come on, that was not in the LEAST BIT subtle.

I mean, she is paying scant attention to what Neal is saying – her focus is ALL on Killian as he walks away.
Loved what Killian said to Henry when he was… resurrected?… anyway, yeah, he’s off to a great start there. Totally puts to bed the arguments (which were COMPLETELY RIDICULOUS and grasping-at-straws-y IMO) that Killian was “sulking” or “pouting” when Emma chose Henry – he clearly feels zero bitterness towards him. He even seemed quite fond of Henry to me – which would make sense since he is an extension of Emma and also Bae and Milah. In fact Killian was downright chivalrous in offering his bed and his quarters. Believe a pirate can be a hero 😉
I loved the scene where Neal was forgiving Rumple – you could see Emma watching Neal and she was quite emotional. Both of them, having been alone and abandoned for so long, have found their parents. BUT i’d like to point out that Neal made a distinction between Pan and Rumple as fathers – that Rumple looked for him. That is very interesting, because that was literally the qualification that Neal needed to forgive his father – and Neal never came looking for Emma. Not once. Anyway, i’m glad that Neal has gotten his second chance with his father, and look forward to more bonding. I hope he get’s his second chance with the Darlings too 🙂
I’m going to skip over the whole heart thing, but SFers have been saying for ages that if Henry can’t have his heart ripped out then he is the product of TL. They were going on and on about how special and magic he is because he did magic when he was born (which i believe was actually Emma). So anyway – it’s clear Henry can have his heart ripped out. I’m going to leave it at that – WE know (well at least i’m infinity percent sure anyway) he isn’t the product of TL anyway lol.
AS YOU WISH THOUGHTS: What i loved most about it was how COMPLETELY out of place it was (to me anyway hehe) – he was butting in at the end of the Charming/Emma convo, and they hadn’t addressed him at all. But the writers (the same ones as Good Form btw) put it there for a reason – they want us to know the feelings are still there, and didn’t care that the line felt awkward in the scene. They wanted it there for CS interaction, to emphasis CS feelings, and CS only. That tells me something.
Anyone have anything to add??

I saw this on tumblr and died. I mean, if this doesn’t show that Killian was planned from the start i don’t know what does. Graham was supposed to be Killian but they couldn’t get the rights then. Killian was planned from the beginning, end of story. We have at least a dozen clues on that. Anyway, thought i’d share. LOOK HOW SIMILAR THEY ARE
Graham’s Letter: “I wasn’t looking for anyone to snap me out of this lonely existance. Or I didn’t realize I was… Until I met you.”

Ok, so I finally have time to write my thoughts on this episode! Overall, I really enjoyed it!
I loved all of the parent/child moments between many of our main characters. (Rumple/Neal, Regina/Henry, Charming/Emma.) Really great to see! I really started to appreciate Neal as a character a little more this episode, especially in relation to Rumple. They had a nice moment.
And of course, I loved the AS YOU WISH line from Hook. I was not expecting to hear that again, so it really reinforces that there is STILL something there, at least on Hook’s end. Also, when I first watched the episode I didn’t notice the way Emma looked for Hook when Neal was talking to her, so that was a really nice detail to see when I watched it later. It’s great that even in an episode that isn’t CS-centric, we are still given some small CS moments/nods. I really do believe they are a TL pairing, so it will be interesting to see if that belief holds up to be true as the season continues.
Eala brings up some great points about the talk between Neal and Rumple that I hadn’t realized. Neal does mention that the difference between Rumple and Malcolm/Pan is that Rumple actually came looking for Bae after he abandoned him. In regards to the one person Neal abandoned (Emma), Neal never went looking for her after he left her to go to jail. So, that’s VERY interesting to me. I’m not seeing any TL signs when it comes to these two. The show has established a few rules for what makes TL and I just haven’t seen any of these rules followed by Neal and Emma. I try to keep an open mind, so maybe I’m wrong about that. Honestly though, I doubt it.

In the movie of The Princess Bride (which Disney have acquired the rights to NOT SAYING JUST SAYING) Westley said “As you wish” 3 times. The second time he said it she realised he was saying “I love you” – which, combined with the fact that we got Emma admitting she knows that Killian loves her in the same episode he said “As you wish” a second time… well I don’t think that’s a coincidence lol. And the third time was when she realised she loved him back. We KNOW that they are put there deliberately. So Killian is going to say it a third time. And Emma will realise that SHE LOVES HIM BACK

*nods head vigorously in agreement* I mean, I get that each couple is going to have their own unique parts to their “love story” but there are still baseline rules to TL, fundamental rules that make up the concept, and those rules cannot change, no matter who the parties in the relationship are, and no matter how “real world” it is. If A+E DO go the Swanfire route I will literally not watch anything they write ever again. Can I just remind everyone of this because it REALLY stuck in my brain:

HECK yes 100% agreed. Pan was obviously having Neal and Emma WATCHED, (possibly orchestrated the jail term?) and was ready with John and Michael when Henry was born. I mean, COME ON no way did SF meet by accident. No way. I don’t believe in coincidences.
