I just have a feeling that the angst is kinda going to start tonight guys. We KNOW the angst is coming for CS – it’s part of what makes them TL….. I don’t know why I feel this way either, since Neal and Killian are going to have a talk with a “surprising” conclusion. Either Neal will be mature about it or Killian will.

they’re the “essays” from tumblr that obisgirl and I post here occasionally. The essays about CS, or Neal etc. I’m not sure where the word comes from though.
Meta is a Greek word indicating a concept which is an abstraction from another concept, used to complete or add to the latter.

I’m not sure where to begin with my thoughts on CS this episode. I was honestly SO confused! I felt so many different emotions throughout the entire episode. Overall, I thought it was an exciting episode and I enjoyed it, but the CS storyline is making me sad right now.
At first, the “agreement” between Hook and Neal seemed to me like Hook basically giving up. I thought it seemed to be completely opposite of his statement that “a man unwilling to fight for what he wants, deserves what he gets.” But then I realized that it could actually be a good thing. Maybe Emma will give Neal a try only to realize that they’re not right for each other anymore? I also thought that maybe Hook is terrified of getting rejected and wants Emma to be the one to let HIM know that she wants him. Or maybe he really did think that he was being the better man by giving Henry a chance to let his parents try to work things out if they can? I really don’t know and it’s a bit frustrating.
Snowing keeps pushing Emma toward Neal and I don’t know how I feel about that. If I thought that was what she TRULY wanted, then I’d have to accept it. But, I’m not sure of that at ALL. And EMMA was the one who mentioned Hook to Charming asking if pushing her toward Neal had anything to do with keeping her away from Hook. That has to mean something, right?
The scene with Tink….I think Hook was trying desperately to get over the pain of thinking he’d lost Emma forever. He may have seemed confident that he would win Emma’s heart in Neverland, but maybe he really believed in that moment that she would pick Neal over him for good. He tried to use that incident to make Emma jealous, so obviously he is hurting in a big way. Let’s not forget just how deeply he loves. I felt frustrated with him a little, but also sorry for him at the same time.
The promo has a CS moment that looks emotional. I can’t WAIT to see that scene! Maybe it will turn things around for them. I hope so.
Upon further reflection on the scene with Hook and Tink, I’m actually more than a bit frustrated. It makes me very upset with Hook. I felt sorry for him in that moment because I think it was a low point, but seriously, that was not ok. Hopefully nothing like that ever happens again. I wish CS would just happen already. It’s SO tough to watch Hook make terrible choices out of the pain he’s feeling.

I didn’t enjoy the Hook/Tink scene either. He looked drunk and miserable. However, it did give us some indication that their history on the island was more than just platonic. The only good outcome of all of that for me was Emma’s reaction to seeing Hook and Tink together. Now that was priceless!
As for Hooks conversation with Neal, that was certainly not what I expected. He was trying to do the right thing for Emma and Henry. It just fell kind of flat for me.
I’ll have to do a rewatch.

I like the idea of him letting Emma see who she’ll be happier with on her own. I really do believe she’ll realize that she and Neal aren’t right for each other anymore. The Tink thing…I totally understand him wanting to take his mind off Emma, but I was hoping he’d have a little more faith that things are going to work out between them in the end. I thought he’d wait patiently since he said he’s in it for the long haul. If things had actually escalated with Hook and Tink, I would have been SO disappointed with the writers. I’m glad it didn’t though.
