I said it wrong – I totally agree with you, Emma needs to deal with all her emotional crap with Neal. At some point she WILL have to talk to him, soon – I would prefer soon!
I just can’t stand the argument that Emma needs to see if she and Neal can make things work because of Henry and because of how much they LOOOVVVED each other when they were committing crimes together. She doesn’t need to revisit an actual relationship with him. She does not love him. I’m holding out hope that Daddy Charming has it figured out and is just being stealth in his approach.

Imagery and why it’s important
This evening a little digging was done and two incredibly interesting facts were pulled from the history.
The first being the real man named Neal Cassady.
Cassady wasn’t just a petty criminal, charmer, car thief, bigamist and serial deserter. x
Cassady was arrested for receipt of stolen property, and served eleven months of a one-year prison sentence. x
Sound like a certain Neal Cassidy that we know of?
The next interesting fact pulled from the pages of history is that of Bonnie and Clyde’s “death car”, picture above. It was a yellow vehicle, much like the yellow bug Emma stole from Neal.
Neal:Why not? We’ve been on the road long enough. Maybe it’s time we retire the “Bonnie and Clyde” act. So I think… I think it’s time.
Now, with these two images floating around, the sketchy criminal named Neal Cassady and the mental image of Bonnie and Clyde shot to death in a car incredible similar to the car that Neal and Emma rode around in. Why am I supposed to want this to happen?

I need to start writing down what page this is on when I disappear for the night! It’s flying by! Love all the graphics, and I’ll catch up with the thread when I get back (running some errands for a bit).
I will say this though – I did feel bad for Neal. He clearly wasn’t happy, he was just stood up and feels like his chances are running out and it is sad for him. I really like him now that I’ve learned to reconcile that everything I don’t like about him is directly in relation to his relationship with Emma. When it’s friends / co-parents I enjoy their interaction and everything else for him, relationship with Henry, Rumple/Belle, etc etc I really like and even sometimes get emotional over.
It’s easy to sound hateful when we’re pointing out the hypocrisy in things with regards to what he wants vs what he’s done but for me, it still boils down to specifically his relationship with Emma. I do want him to find HIS TL someday and I don’t think that whoever that is is somehow awful and deserves a man whose a monster. I think he can be very sweet at times and I don’t think he’ll make the same mistakes. I just think that with their history he’s wrong FOR EMMA and that would be true whether Hook was in the picture or not.
I really liked the IDEA behind SwanFire and at the end of S1 I was all for it. It’s how that idea played out that I take issue with and what it’s paralleled to etc while building up the beauty that is CS which won my heart instantly. Looking at it objectively through my personal filters, I see things being built up and matching TL stuff for CS but others won’t see what we see and vice versa until it is plain as day and even then we’re told it’s OOC. We ALL look closer at the characters we love. We care about them so want to defend them and believe in them and all last season we saw the Hook mask and recognized back on the beanstalk there was way more to his story, but for those inclined to not want him as a romantic rival, it’s easy and COMPLETELY UNDERSTANDABLE for them to only recently be seeing that maybe he’s not so bad, even if they don’t want him with Emma. Either way is not a crime.
I was having a lovely chat with Angie about this on twitter actually. BOTH GUYS are good and even though we only see ONE as being the right option for Emma (and frankly, only one IS the right option whichever way it goes because TL and all that), but it doesn’t mean that the guy getting left out doesn’t deserve to find HIS TL whoever that may be and I fully intend to be able to root for that because I’ve loved all the TL couples so far (though some to a lesser degree only because we’ve barely seen them but they’ve been cute).
I really hate the mentality that somehow because we don’t him with Emma that she’s up on this pedestal so high that whoever is shown as his TL will never be as good or something. Hello – it’s TRUE LOVE. That means finding the one you’re SUPPOSED TO BE WITH, not “settling” for someone else (and we saw how badly that worked for Hook trying with Tink – I promise I’ll get to my metas sometime soon!). It literally means that somebody will find a way to move on from Emma and then meet somebody new.
Just imagine watching Rumple’s love life play out in real time. Milah…then Cora….but then eventually we get Belle and that torture and torment goes away and it’s BEAUTIFUL! It doesn’t mean Emma is awful for not choosing whoever and that they’re doomed for the rest of eternity. I will be very disappointed if either guy ends up alone, even if I feel that it’s been written in a way showing only one can move on.
/end rant. LOVE the graphics and keep it up! I know not everyone scours tumblr so it’s nice to bring some beautiful things to this thread sometimes! Back later and hopefully with some of my metas unless they’ve been covered by the time I catch up with the thread!

Its just like that boyfriend we have all had that tied us up in knots and we thought that the world would end without out him. Then down the line you find Mr Right and you say thank God for whatever caused our break or you would have missed out on the real and true relationship that you have now.
YES, THIS!! This is exactly how I feel. Go back to the guy you KNOW you cried over instead of giving the new guy who makes you happy a chance. You know, because you created a child together that you gave up for adoption and have no legal rights to. Because you are DESTINED to be with the man who allowed you to be shackled to the bed during the birth of said child, it is simply meant to be and oh so very romantic. You know the many ways you understand each other: how you can both hotwire a car, the way you can look across a empty convenience store at one another without saying a word, simply make eye contact and know that you have stolen enough frozen burritos and spam to last the next 3 days. And the memories, oh the memories. Remember your first home? Of course you remember it you’re still driving it. The 40 minute vacations to the Motel 6 complete with complimentary used toiletries. The first time you met, how it was so cute the way he lied to make sure you weren’t both arrested for grand theft auto. Working together as a loving couple to find a way to obtain and sell stolen merchandise – well that didn’t end so well. Times were hard but the important thing is that you LOOOVVVED each other and you were oh, so very happy. It’s been more than 11 years but a love like that only comes along once in a lifetime, it’s just so beautiful. Be strong and embrace it, it’s who you are Emma.

Lol the new one I’m hearing is that the New York stuff is some kind of horrible, horrible AU. I really don’t see them coming back to a premiere with a dream sequence like that. Why have a whole episode in NY titled that way for the whole thing not to even be real? If it is a dream anyway it’s most likely that it’s Emma dreaming about Killian anyway 😛

Is it me or did this past Sunday’s episode really set the anti-CS folks everywhere on fire? I occasionally jump into the threads that are predominantly other ‘ships because I do like to get others’ perspectives on various relationships, but I had to jump right out when I saw some of the stuff being said after Sunday.
But enough of the negativity, I’m just going to focus on the positive!
1) I think Daddy Charming is 100% CS, and I think Emma does too. His comments to Emma when he went to get her were spot on and showed not only who he’s rooting for, but that he’s really starting to understand his daughter and learning how to approach sensitive topics with her. I really hope we see more of their relationship grow.
2) Tink, Tink, Tink, how I love Tinkerbell! I hope she and Emma get more scenes together, I can really see some awesome girl-bonding there. They both have just the right amount of sass, and I love how they’re not afraid to tell others exactly what they think. Emma needs that kind of friend, I think, to put things into perspective now that MM is all-about-being-Mom and for some reason seems to have either forgotten or is ignoring everything she knows about how Emma thinks and feels about things. And I can’t decide what kind of relationship I believe she and Hook had, but you can tell she knows him inside-out and isn’t afraid to give him the kick in the pants he needs…and he knows it.
I think the writers have really set into motion some really good relationships, romantic and platonic, this season and I hope they don’t just drop them. Emma/Charming, Emma/Tinkerbell, Hook/Tinkerbell, Hook/Charming, Hook/Neal and OF COURSE Hook/Emma…all so full of potential!! I’m thinking (hoping) the writers put certain people into the Neverland storyline as a way to focus in on these specific characters and continue fleshing them out…
