Participant@CaptainEala Thanks! Those were just too beautiful to pass up.
Oh i agree. We should definitely keep posting the gifs here – i think we see a lot more than we wouldn’t have seen immediately when the episode aired 🙂

ParticipantI did another rewatch this morning and can i just point out some things about Emma’s dialogue in the Daddy!Charming scene:
Are you sure you don’t have other reasons for pushing me towards Neal
I mean, i think that pretty much says it all. Pushing implies reluctance. She doesn’t want to go towards Neal.
I don’t know, keeping me away from Hook?
Implying that Hook IS something she wants to go towards.
I mean really, those two bolded things are the complete opposite of each other. Emma is so done with Neal, like really. Honestly at this point i can’t see her getting with Neal for Henry’s sake for even a short amount of time. The writers wrote it this way for a reason.

Okay but i’m still not done talking about it
Let’s talk about this line for a sec, eh?“Don’t thank me yet. You see, I’m in this for the long haul. And you already walked out on Emma once; not so sure she’ll let you back in.”
We’ll get to the gloriousness that is the long haul at the end, because first I want to talk about Hook bringing up a point I—and other CSers—have been making for a long time.
If the true love story wasn’t about Hook and Emma, but about Neal and Emma…Hook wouldn’t be necessary. He wouldn’t be part of the equation.
Like Hook himself just said, he isn’t the obstacle between Emma and Neal. Their past, what Neal did to Emma, and how she had to carry that pain for 11 years, is the obstacle.
He knows that Emma and Neal can’t work out in the end, which is why he’s decided to be patient, even if it kills him. But inevitably when Neal and Emma fall apart FOR GOOD, he doesn’t want to be held responsible by them…OR by Henry.
Like I’ve said, he wants to be a part of Emma’s family, and being seen as a monster in the eyes of the boy he wants to be a stepfather…isn’t something he’s looking to repeat.
He’s well aware of how similar the situations are, but he knows he doesn’t have to “take” anyone away (even though Milah had her own agency the first go of it), because Emma will leave Neal on her own.
Now, to the long haul.
You guys…I hope you’re never, ever, ever nervous again.
Not only did Hook and the writers just say on screen a synonym for “endgame”, but it also shows (once again) how IN LOVE Hook really is.
This is not a man who loves easily, but when he does, it’s unwavering and with his entire being. He knows he wants to spend the rest of his life with Emma, and he knows it might take a while for her to be ready for that, but he doesn’t care. He’ll wait. He’s not going to move on.
Unlike some people.So accurate.

They’ve captioned it “sounds like trouble”
i.e. sounds like trouble for Captain Swan
i.e. tune in this week to see what happens with Captain Swan
to be honest i think we should be getting our hopes up a lot because they’re using CS to try to draw people in this SundaySo yeah. I’m not saying we’re going to get something AMAZING
but actually i kinda ambut yeah I wouldn’t be worried about CS in the slightest for the winter finale hehe.Keeper of Captain Swan's first kiss

Not just because I really want to see an Emma/Hook pairing, but….well, let’s put it like this: Has anybody seen the “before 6 beers”, and “after 6 beers” optial illusion? Click on this link to look at it. I think it makes my point pretty well. Hook was drunk, and so his judgement and emotions were otherwise influenced. I think in all reality, his real emotions are tied to Emma. Not true love found via inebriation. Besides, remember: Hook is a pirate with a drinking problem. I’d like the see the show handle that in a noble manner. The writers of Once Upon A Time will only accomplish the opposite to that if they reward Hook’s drunken flirting with the establishment of a relationship. I think that would send an aloof message about alcohol abuse, and it’s impact on the quality of judgement.

SpectatorYou know I got to thinking and perhaps this has been said before after Hook, made that comment about Neal not fighting for Emma and just let her to go to jail. That parallels Rumble’s story when he 1st meet Hook and didn’t fight for his wife. Again, I am not shipping Emma with anyone prefer to have someone in her era but just wanted to share my little thought about Hook and Neal>
PS. To be honest I really don’t care for the guy who plays Neal, he just seems so blah, he isn’t really genuine, no emotion in anything he says I think that was poor casting on Adam’s part he just isn’t a real good actor. Little Bae was great but this guy no way in my opinion.

ParticipantI hope Hookerbell isn’t where they are going.
Definitely not haha! I mean, anyone who watched that scene knows it wasn’t in the least romantic!!! (at least i hope they do lol or they have to re-evaluate their definition of romantic)
I think in all reality, his real emotions are tied to Emma.
^^^^^
Hook is a pirate with a drinking problem
Don’t you think it’s significant that after Pan told him he had a drinking problem in “Good Form” we didn’t see him imbibe ONCE until 3×10, when he had separated himself from
his True LoveEmma? 😉Killian Jones was a man who thought rum led to bad form. Emma brought him back to that self after they kissed… and once he lost her his Captain Hook persona emerged again.

Absolutely 🙂 Emma and Milah have been paralleled many times, and Neal and Rumple have ALSO been paralleled many times.
Just out of interest HE, who would you chose for Emma out of Neal and Killian if you HAD TO chose? 🙂
Little Bae was great but this guy no way in my opinion.
He’s growing on me a bit. In fairness to MRJ, i think he acts his scenes with Rumple VERY well. I just don’t think he’s been given a lot to work with from A&E so far yet, when it comes to emotional storylines. Because Emma isn’t his TL lol. We’ve said here in the CS thread many times that Neal is just a plot device.

Exactly! Emma is good for him.

ParticipantHello! I hope I’m welcome here :). I’m a new member but an old time Captain Swan shipper! I just have been more addicted to these two recently now that the story is heading towards a Captain Swan endgame! I can’t stop day dreaming about it.
I do not know if this has been pointed out but, another parallel with Emma+Hook is that, Emma was the deputy of Graham and Killian was his brothers co-captain. Graham and Liam both died ( Graham’s heart was crushed and Liam’s heart was poisoned) in Emma and Killians arms and both had to take over after the death of their superior. It might have been pointed out but I just wanted to share XD.
I can’t wait till the winter finale episode for more Captain Swan moments!
