Hello! I hope I’m welcome here . I’m a new member but an old time Captain Swan shipper! I just have been more addicted to these two recently now that the story is heading towards a Captain Swan endgame! I can’t stop day dreaming about it.

You are in good company here haha, i’m absolutely OBSESSED with these two.

Graham and Liam both died ( Graham’s heart was crushed and Liam’s heart was poisoned) in Emma and Killians arms and both had to take over after the death of their superior. It might have been pointed out but I just wanted to share XD.

Hmmm, I really don’t know to be honest at least Hook, confronts Emma. Neal just side steps after saying I always loved you Emma and gets engaged, etc. I wouldn’t pick Neal but on the downside of Hook, he left Emma and Snow in jail with out ever a chance of getting out alive so I can’t really say sorry.

I love them both too much that when my CaptainSwan ship mode is on, I totally forget everything, even my boyfriend who’s waiting for my reply to his texts LOL.

I really don’t hold that against him at all. Emma is my most favourite character in the history of forever, and while i don’t think what he did was great, i do kind of believe it was justified to be honest. I know you’re probably protective of Snow though.

If you look at it from his point of view:

• Killian risked his life to distract Tiny so that Emma could knock him out with the powder – he was literally trusting that Emma would pick up on his improvised plan (because they weren’t expecting Tiny to be so big) and he almost died then and there
• Killian never got to bond with Tiny like Emma did – as far as he knew Emma was putting his life in the hands of a giant whom who has always been known to kill humans
• She trusted a giant she had just met, whose favour she had to EARN first, when she should have trusted Killian, the man who was nothing but honest with her about the beanstalk and who had risked his life for their mission
• So to sum up his point of view: she had used him, tricked him, and left him to die, when the WORST he had done to her was lie about his identity

ALSO: Emma/Snow/Aurora/Mulan had tied him up to a tree and would have left him to be killed by ogres. Literally just because he lied about his identity.

I’m not convinced that Hook was drunk. He was depressed as heck and didn’t know what to do with himself just like Emma was kind of stumbling around lost without Hook.

But I don’t think he is capable of going back to how he used to be. They had Neal make a point of saying that they don’t sell rum at Granny’s and in the diner scene we saw Hook drinking a beer. In the past whenever we have seen Hook with his flask he has always been drinking from it – it’s just something he has always done. But that stopped once Pan called him a one handed pirate with a drinking problem.

In the scene with Tink he isn’t stumbling around or off balance, and we only see him LOOK at the flask. We’ve talked about how his “come-on” to Tink really wasn’t much of a come on since you could tell he wasn’t into it AT ALL – he didn’t have his usual Captain Innuendo confident and cocky face, he just looked sad.

I think it was a habit for him to turn to rum and women to bury pain so that’s what he started to try to do but quickly realized that he couldn’t, he didn’t want to deal with things that way anymore – Emma has changed him too much. Kind of like he is thinking: okay I’ve got my rum and oh my, how convenient here’s a woman . . . but I don’t want either of these things anymore, I just want Emma.

I just don’t see Hook falling back into his old habits that hard and that quickly based upon a decision HE made when he still feels fairly certain that Emma will choose him and when he has said he is in it for the long haul. Now if Emma had just told him that she was choosing Neal, I’m sure he would take a brisk swim in a ocean of rum and proposition Granny if it could make him forget about Emma.

@emmajones Welcome aboard!! I was also going to comment on your perfect username! I spend way too much time on these boards, thankfully I have a very understanding husband. At least he understands that I like to over analyze the show and discuss with people – he does think it’s weird how I could possibly get so excited over the relationship of two fictional characters. It’s nice to have a place to come where there are others of my kind, ha!! I have a few friends who have started to get into the show because of my excitement about it but still find it bizarre that I listen to podcasts and read/write on message boards about theories, etc. Glad to have you here!!

So I was at Target this morning and they had these Disney Christmas tree ornaments. One of them was Captain Hook. But then I was like: No, no, no!! He had the red coat and hat, bad perm, and wax mustache – and I was like: that is NOT Captain Hook.

So then I looked around in the ornament section a bit more and they had this cute fabric swan ornament! And I thought: well, I guess I could get the Captain Hook ornament anyway and hang it next to the swan ornament so I would have CS on my tree.

So I went back and looked at the Captain Hook ornament again . . . and I just couldn’t do it!!! He just looked freakishly weird. Captain Hook will forever be a devilishly handsome Irishman in black leather with chest hair and a wandering eyebrow. I looked everywhere but Target didn’t have one of those. They didn’t have an ornament that looked like him either. Sigh.

@rumplegoldfan – personally I’m fully convinced that Killian was drinking.

Long story short I’m from Ireland and as I’m sure you’re all aware the Irish have a drinking problem. I come from long lines of alcoholics on both sides and have painful experiences of what drunks are like – and the many, many different kinds of drunks.

I don’t think Killian is an alcoholic – but I do believe he has a drinking problem. The fact that he wasn’t stumbling in the scene tells me nothing about whether or not he’s sober. When a person is used to habitually drinking, they can handle an obscene amount of alcohol without seeming drunk (eg. I have seen my father drink an entire 750 ml bottle of whiskey in less than 2 hours and still seemed relatively sober) and Killian has been a habitual drinker of rum and beer for over 300 years.

And secondly alcohol exacerbates your mood at the time of consumption. If you’re happy – you’ll get happier, if you’re sad, you’ll go into a deeper depression. What we saw in 3×10 with Killian really shows that, I think. He seemed relatively ok in the diner when he told Neal he’d back off – but I’m sure the sadness hit him when he saw Neal and Emma speaking. That’s why when we see him nearly a whole day later, after drinking I’m pretty sure for the whole night, his pain is like a LIVING THING.

That’s just my personal opinion, but as it’s based off personal experiences I’m pretty confident in it.
