Er I’m sorry PoM but I believe RG told us to stay out of other people’s threads?
Yes, this is what I remember about the CSF thread. It was decided that it wasn’t a healthy environment for all us and that’s why they vanished.
Please @priceofmagic we’re all passionate about our ‘ships but please, please, do not start fights. It’s safer for everyone, our sanity, to stay in our respective ‘shipper threads. Polite debate is fine but no fights.

Why should she have to come to your thread to defend her post? Why can’t her post just be posted here(which it is) and be left alone, without you having to come in here and scrutinize her with it? Rumple’s Girl even said that it’s not a good thing to come into one or the others thread to copy posts then bring them back to your respective thread and then disprove them. Let them have their opinion, she shouldn’t have to defend her post for anything. She posted her post for CS shippers, HER post that YOU copied and brought to the SF thread and deconstructed it. Since you are quoting what I said, you better be careful because I have never ever said that anyone’s opinion is invalid. I have always allowed everyone their opinion.
This is the CS thread and I know that you’re posts are helpful in a way. It does allow us to still be the biggest thread on the entire forum so that is much appreciated. 🙂
However if you’re not here to discuss CS in a positive way then this isn’t the thread for you.

I did politely debate Obisgirl. I disagreed with Eala’s post and took it over to the SwanFire thread where I laid out my reasons for disagreeing.

Keeper of FelixIt’s still a good idea @priceofmagic to keep to your respective ‘shipper threads. We will agree on most things but not agree over some things, and you should know that.

You are ALLOWED to read any thread on this forum. Never in a million years will I stop you from that.
However. If you come to a shipping thread that you do not personally ship, be prepared to not like the things they say! Let’s just make a general rule: if you are going to respond to something the opposite ship said in your own thread do it anonymously! That seems like the safest course of action because I know some of us are reading the others threads. And that’s fine but we can’t do this whole “so and so said X and now I am going to respond” Instead, make it really open like “I read an interpretation and I am going to respond” without dragging in another human being. This works both ways. Both CSers and SFers are reading each others posts and calling people out. What is our first rule on this forum?? RESPECT. And for the peace to be maintained here we need to agree, as a fandom (!!!!!!!), that we aren’t going to do this. It’s not fun. In a perfect world we’d be able to have this conversation without the crap but it’s not going to happen.
Obisgirl makes a great point: there is a reason why I went to Daniel and asked if I could remove the CSF thread: it’s not good for our community. We’re at each others throats all the time. ALL THE TIME. In the past 3 weeks, how many times have I had to step in?! In the almost YEAR that I’ve been mod, I’ve never had to step in as many times as I have had to in the past 3 weeks.
SO to reiterate:
1) you may read any thread on this forum
2) if you are going to respond to a shipping post in YOUR thread from someone who does not ship your ship, keep it anonymous.
It’s a long hiatus. PLEASE don’t make me do this again!

Something else we can do, to keep our sanity here on the forums, is stay out of the SF thread and generally, stick to posting here if it’s directly related to CS. I think we should all do that. Just keep to our respective threads where we know it’s safe haven. As tempting as it is to venture into the opposing thread (I often wonder myself what the other side could be talking about) I don’t go there.
We should all practice that, to keep ourselves sane and generally, to keep the peace.
