I laugh when people try to use things from over a year to go to show their arguments.
I still remember that quote Adam said about Hook could be good in Vegas but he’s not father material, that was AFTER QOH aired. So we didn’t know much about what was coming for Hook(or the broken leg that would side-line Colin for most of the remainder of the season).
Personally I’m gonna go with what the writers are saying now, over what they said over a year ago. I figure that was common sense but IDK.
Also I really would like to know why Hook is categorized as the obstacle to SF and not the other way around. In the canon of the show when it comes to the triangle this has been what has happened.
It was Hook that was told Neal was still alive after the kiss he had with Emma by Pan and essentially it ruined his mood and his hope.
It was Hook that confessed his feelings for Emma in the cave knowing that it could in part end up with him getting broken hearted and he did it for Emma.
It was Hook whom the camera focused on during the reunion of Neal and Emma and also when Neal and Emma were having their private moment, which Hook eavesdropped and the camera showed us his reaction.
It was Neal whom interrupted the moment Hook and Emma were having and this was shown by the music of the CS kiss playing in the background and stopping immediately when Neal came back.
It was Hook whom upon arrival to SB told Neal that he was gonna step aside for Henry’s sake. He believes Henry deserves his chance at family.
So how exactly is Hook being portrayed as the obstacle? If he’s the one that’s doing things that is either gonna hurt him willingly or he’s always doing things to give Neal the edge.
How is HE the obstacle? I’m not even counting the Hook and Emma moments or anything, I just want to know how is Hook an obstacle?

Because
1) Obviously they were “enemies” then and
2) SFers are always saying that Emma should be oUTRAgeD at Killian locking her up in the cell tO dIE OMG
And yet… after QoH aired, even though he locked up in the cell, she still saw him as someone to have FUN WITH IN VEGAS

Did they forget how Neal never came looking for Emma when the curse broke?
Did they forget how Emma had hoped Neal was dead so that it would be easIER for her to move on from him?
Did they forget how Killian removed himself from the triangle in 3×10 and Emma didn’t show up for her and Neal’s date?

An interesting viewpoint on why Snow ships SF that I hadn’t considered. Originally, my take was more that she was pushing for SF partly because of Hook’s misdeeds in S2, and partly for Emma’s earlier admission of love for Neal rather than her own guilt in abandoning Emma. Its good to have another perspective and gave me some food for thought.

well from how I backed tracked it that door had already been opened. You just brought back news from a post that basically called one of us out. I really wish there was a way to mend the fences on here but at this point I don’t see it.
