Also it is worth pointing out, that simply put, Hook’s OTT flirting is no different than Emma’s standoff-ness- it’s just the opposite end of the same form of self defense to keep themselves from being hurt deeply again. No one will truly see Killian until that wall is cracked & striped off & the same applies to Emma.
The thing is they both connected almost immediately & ended up getting more out of each other, than anyone else has, on their climb up the bean stalk. It’s that connection with someone that allows you to take that next step & so on & so forth. With Emma “she couldn’t take the risk that she was wrong in trusting Hook” as it was Henry on the line, she feels that connection & it scares her deeply. Who better to help you open up & understand you point of view, than someone who knows exactly what you are going through? 😉
If CaptianSwan doesn’t happen (aside from crying & ending up eating WAY to much honey & cinnamon popcorn), I’d say that Killian & Emma would have to in the very least end up best friends considering the connection they have- they ‘get’ each other like no one else can 😉

Hey everyone! I’m new to the board and thought I’d introduce myself, I’m a big captain swan shipper hence my presence here 🙂
I know you’re all aware of wetpaint’s ‘vote for your favourite couple’ poll, just a reminder for everyone to vote for captain swan, I’ve just been there and they’re up against milah/hook who for some strange reason have a sizeable percentage of the vote. I refuse to believe there really can be that many milah/hook shippers since they had like two scenes together and were only used as a plot device for rumple and hook, so I think its just spite from other shippers. Apparently you can vote as many times as you like!

Will pop over there & vote- I don’t keep in touch with those things tbh, as many teens & young adults tend to sit there voting over & over to see their couple win- I prefer real poll’s where one vote is all you get.

Yeah, seems like it, doesn’t it 😉 – I still cant figure out why SwanFire etc fans hate CaptainSwan so much- I mean I’d really dislike SwanFire to happen (for many reasons) as things stand, but I wont hate on Neal/Bae or SwanFire because of that 😐
Maybe Hook/ CaptainSwan pulls in a more mature or forgiving fan base lol 😉 😆Edited to add- CaptainSwan is ‘just’ leading Hook & Milah now.
How do you know who is voting for or against anyone? I’m voting for a variety of couples – my main ship is Rumbelle but I’m also voting for CaptainSwan because I think they belong in the final voting, at least past the first round. I’m also voting for SwanFire (same reason) but they are way behind. Hook and Emma should be kicking Hook and Milah’s butts (that sounds so weird) but I think the new voting strategy in these polls is to vote against certain ships rather than for your own ships. I refuse to do that. Keep it positive, people!
