I hadn’t heard the ‘Emma in NY due to Beanstalk/NL adventure with Hook’ theory- that’s a different take on it, but as hard as I ship CS, I think it’s a bit of a stretch for me to buy into at this stage

I have no clue what it is actually about tbh- @vanessa mentioned it in her post …
… So where is it theorized that Emma is in NYC because the tall buildings remind her of the beanstalk she climbed with Hook? Or because of her adventure with Hook Emma is drawn to tall buildings?

Must’ve missed that… sorry @Vanessa! Hm to be honest it’s not at all plausible to me. I DO wonder why she went to NY though. When she first met Neal in Manhattan she said “why else would I be in New York???” and the line seemed a bit odd and out of place to me in that conversation. It sounded to be like she doesn’t like NY for some reason – and I’m wondering if that could be to do with her childhood or something. Guess we’ll have to wait and see! We may not get any explanation.

Did Emma mention NYC as a place she would have been living with Henry if she had kept him? I don’t think Hook played a part in her decision making I think they just chose it because it would make a good story or shipper goggles on they want Hook and Emma to have a reunion kiss in Central Park 😛
