Pro tip, Hook:
If you want people to NOT know you’re head over heels for this girl, stop looking at her once in a while.

ParticipantAdam is getting more hate for something out of his control again by rumbelle fans. Cuz abc is promoting cs and Colin made the buddy tv list but non of the other cast did except emilie aka belle. Abc promoted Colin but not Emilie. Like someone else said, it’s getting less enjoyable shipping cs when the guy that has been giving us these amazing moments r getting hate.Edited: Just look at this
I dont think u have to have a twitter. Just go to https://twitter.com/AdamHorowitzLA go into search & type Adamhorowitzla for results click all Now do another search type in ONCEabc Hook do the same thing Like this is ridiculous the amount of Hook hate there ishttp://captain-swan-shipper.tumblr.com/post/73664223033/adam-is-getting-more-hate-for-something-out-of-his I saw what this person is talking about on my twitter feed so I made it a point to let Adam and OnceABC know how much I like the direction they’re taking with promoting the show lol.
you know I sometimes wonder if a significant % of SF shippers are really mostly Rumbelle fans that resent Hook for his screen time and that he was once verbally mean to pre-Dark Rumple, so they therefore support Neal to Hook’s detriment. For such SF fans, SF means more Stilkin family time. Hook is a threat to that because Emma is the hero of the series, so her romance would get screen time and Hook is the only one unwilling to turn it blind eye to Rumple’s vileness. I know that there are true Neal and SF fans but it seems that some of the Hook and CS hate is fueled by fans that ship Rumbelle primarily and SF By extension.
Keeper of Hook and Emma's smoldering first kiss, a certain Pirate's sauciness, the Evil Queen's snarkiness, Grumpy's gruffness and a drop of true love to make it all go down smooth.

Do you know this is actually a good point. A lot of Rumbellers love RUMPLE over even over Belle and by extension Neal – naturally, because Rumple and Neal come as a package deal. So they want Neal to get his happy ending more than anything, even to the detriment of other characters (Emma and Killian most notably), and (IMO) put blinders on to the fact that Neal isn’t always a good man. I readily accept that Hook’s past behaviour hasn’t been stellar, but he’s changing NOW and that’s what matters. Neal has exhibited bad behaviour VERY recently – the use of a toddler to bait Pan’s shadow (which I’m still not over not by a long shot).

ParticipantI just came up with a theory about that in the SwanFire thread. Not quite like you put it but basically favourite characters can affect the audience’s perception of whether or not they like or dislike a certain character based on how that character interacts with the audience member’s favourite character. Does that make sense?

Well from the number of Rumbelle fans I’ve talked to there’s a fair number that really can’t move past two things. One when Hook challenged Rumple to a duel to fight for Milah and hitting Belle. To me if it wasn’t for him terrorizing Rumbelle he really wouldn’t have been much of a villain at all. He was a Rumbelle’s villain he wasn’t gonna be great to them until after he was redeemed. Letting go of his vengeance and opening his heart to find love again made it so he’s not really any kind of villain anymore but in the end some fans aren’t gonna be able to let that early part of his character go. From a Rumbelle perspective some of them must be miffed at the fact that their ship is constantly separated, Belle’s screen time is nowhere close to that of the rest of the main cast, and their former villain is getting the lion share of the pub. To me I understand Hook was Rumbelle’s villain, Rumple took away his true love so what was Hook’s play? To take away his true love! It makes sense to me but I hope we get to see Hook doing something nice for Belle or helping her and Bae reunite with Rumple something to show how much he’s changed.

For me I’m always show before ship, I love the show so I’m more pro something than anti anything. I don’t get upset at pro SF stuff I see I get mad when I see Hook being torn down to boost up SF. Some people on the other hand if they have a favorite character or ship then that’s all they hang on to. So if we get a CS heavy arc like 3A which was very nice to us CS fans then fans of characters and ships that get the short end of the stick are gonna have a lot of animosity toward the ship that reaps the benefits at what they perceive is their ship’s expense. After that those fans can’t even hear anything to do with a character or ship without it causing a problem. From that comes digging for reasons to hate characters and ships, then comes rebuttal’s from defenders of that ship and it all just snowballs!
