Here is my 2 cents worth I could be wrong. Neal had a chance to help Emma believe or break the curse the 1st time but choose to run do you honestly think you could trust Neal to do the right thing and change now? I don’t think he would care about the others in FTL or even encourage Emma to help her family, I think he would be a coward again and take the easy way out leaving the others in distress.
I could trust Neal to do the right thing now because of Henry. Neal would move heaven and earth to keep Henry safe and well. Neal regrets leaving Emma the first time so wouldn’t be stupid enough to make the same mistake twice.
Foot Note: Snow and David were frozen for 28, missing Emma growing up MM/Snow was lonely for 28 years they even missed raising their own grandchild. So do I think Rumple and Regina should have a happy ending I don’t know how can you repay the Charming family and others for all their misery that they had to endure from these two?
Even the guy that played Rumple said in an interview that Rumple shouldn’t have a happy ending and to be honest I don’t think he should either.
I disagree. I think Rumple should get his happy ending because he deserves it, he’s been through so much crap in his life, and whilst he has done terrible things, he is trying to redeem himself for them. He deserves a second chance, not a you made some bad decisions so your life is screwed forever. Also let’s not forget that Hook did Pan’s “dirty work”. For Pan not to want to get his hands “dirty” and get Hook to do it instead makes you wonder, what exactly did Pan have Hook doing?
Talk about like Father like Son, Neal did the same thing left everyone frozen has never apologized to Snow/David or anyone Used RH’s child for bait for the shadow kind of like like Rumple used Snow’s child to save them.
Using Roland as bait was a dick move on Neal’s part but so was shooting Belle a dick move on Hook’s part. Both guys have made mistakes, both guys deserve a fair chance to make up for them. Snow has made mistakes which she deeply regrets such as telling Cora about Daniel after Regina asked her not to. Even saving Regina from execution can be seen as a big mistake on Snow’s part since if she’d let Regina die, the curse wouldn’t have happened. Every character makes mistakes, but depending on which character is your favourite, some mistakes are easier to forgive than others. It’s all a matter of perspective.

I personally don’t think he would necessarily be a coward, but I do think he’ll be passive in seeking Emma out. He has been before… there is really no reason for him to change this behaviour.
All I know is
If you love them and they love you, they will always find you.
Neal, so far has LEFT Emma twice, and not come for her at LEAST twice. He has NEVER found her. Not even in NL.
Killian has found/came back for Emma twice, in two CANONICAL ROMANTIC MOMENTS.

And now, A&E haven’t even TRIED to deny an attempt at True love’s kiss, even called it a paradigm, which is a fancy word for parallel. (I hope you’re reading this PoM, not trying to start anything here but A&E have said it’s a parallel)
