How many different endings did you toy with before you landed on what ended up on the screen (in 3×11)?

Horowitz: That came very quickly as we were designing the end of the 11-episode pod. That just became this inevitable place we kept getting to. And we got so excited by it, particularly because — hopefully you’ll see in the second half — it leads very naturally to a whole new story we’re telling that hopefully as you look through the whole season, feels like they connected to each other and spoke to each other in thematic and character ways that make a lot of sense.

Actually, it’s also probably likely to be a backstory episode – Both Cora and Graham died in their backstory episodes. And we know August is making an appearance soon… it could parallel Tallahassee maybe. With Neal doing the right thing. Idk, obviously that’s a controversial opinion and i won’t speak it outside this thread lol.

Yup. I honestly don’t want ANYONE to die. The lack of death and theme of hope and redemption is what makes this show so refreshing.

I like the thought that watching Rumple make a big sacrifice for those he loves inspires Neal to do the same. Of course, the counter argument is that Hook has already said multiple times that he’d risk his life for love. Ugh, one could go in circles forever. *headdesk*

It got out with the PA, maybe others. They probably wanted to clarify, and also prepare us. This is a pretty big deal for this show. We haven’t had a regular die yet.
