I feel as though I need to address a few things:

1) You want to keep your interpretations here for 3×17, that’s perfectly valid. The SFers are actually doing the same thing and trying making the 3×17 title thread more neutral, or as neutral as the forum can get.

2) I don’t know how to fix chat. I’m sorry but I don’t. I’ve tried. We tried a moratorium on the spoiler that shall not be named and that kept the peace for the most part. I was just alerted to the “repetition” thing and will be doing my best to step in from now on because it’s not fair to you but it’s also exhausting for all involved. Please recognize that it’s not the ship as a whole. I’ll try to keep it toned down when it pops up.

3) This is a big one. Banning. Please be aware that when someone is banned it is NOT because they expressed an opinion. Forum members are not privileged to what was going on behind the scenes nor will you be because we like to keep our moderation private to those that it concerns. There were a HOST of things happening that were outside someone expressing an opinion in regards to a theory, things that violated several of our rules. Also, I do not ban. Matt does not band. Daniel bans. We take problems to him and he decides what to do. He made the call. It’s his website. This has nothing to do with shipping or ship wars. I would appreciate if we didn’t jump to conclusions about those events when the facts are being kept between the mods and the admins. Questions or concerns about moderation can be taken up privately with me, Matt or Daniel.

I have spoken several times to people (in private because again we keep the moderation private since this is a public forum) about bashing on certain characters or ships. Please do not assume that we are letting people get away with anything. When I see it, I call it out. If you see it, and I’m not here, I have an inbox.

That’s a really good theory; makes a lot of sense. Once you get over the panic and think logically about it there’s no way Hook is the one to go. When you look at the way the story is being written CaptainSwan makes the most sense. Neal is far from my favorite character and I don’t necessary want him to go but to me even character wise Hook has so much more to offer.

Thanks @RumplesGirl for posting. I know you, Matt and Daniel try your best.  The chat can be frustrating with the ‘shipper talk and the speculation of our favorite pirate dying because of this or that.  I’ve asked @lisas more than once to be considerate of other CS ‘shippers on the site, so I hope you were able to get through to her to tone it down a bit.

@RumplesGirl – thanks for the post.  We know you try very hard to keep things neutral and appreciate it.  Any venting of frustration is absolutely never meant to be a criticism of you, MP or Daniel.  You have extremely difficult jobs as mods and though we may not always express it, I think I can say as a collective, we have much respect for the work you do to keep this place civil.  And it is true – as crazy as it can be, this is probably the least cray-cray of all forums – and for that we thank  you!  Please know it’s because of your hard work we feel this is a safe place to occasionally need to vent our frustrations.  🙂

Anywho – liking the title of epi 17!  I’m loving the idea of BB being a father figure to Hook – I guess it’s ok if he’s Hook’s actual father.  Any backstory for Hook is good to me!  I like the idea of Killian being somewhat lost once he mutinied after Liam died and BB stepping in as a new father-figure, teaching him ‘the ways of the pirate,’ which he in turn taught to Neal.  And maybe even Henry.

I still wonder if BB isn’t just a call sheet name? I would like for them to do a backstory where they do like a take on “Treasure Island” With Long John Silver and young Hook playing a sort of Jim Hawkins role. 🙂
