ParticipantWho’s up for some intense OTP feelings?? From exquisitelyfortunate:
Endless Reasons Why Captain Swan Are Beautiful – 3×01
Being themselves around the other is gorgeously effortless, and that’s the rare entity needed to be considered true love. Everything’s bared between them because of how well they’re able to read one another.
As far as underrated scenes go, this right here is one of my favorites because the aesthetic understanding between them it portrayed further. Just before they got on the ship to go to Neverland, Emma authenticated the fact that she and Hook understand one another and that gave him hope to be her friend – someone at this point Emma indisputably needed more than anything.
Generally, supported by psychological studies, people tend to be more perceptive of those whose traits they also possess.
“I’ve never known you to need to get ready for a fight, I thought it was a natural state.”Because these two share incredibly similar traits, especially towards what they’re willing to, and capable of doing for those they deeply care for, he’s able to find ways to momentarily distract her before getting to the reason behind her current frustration. He chooses to elevate her before he offers his steadfast support.
Once Rumple insulted her for never taking a leap of faith, anyone could’ve gone after her to see if she was okay, but Hook went instead. Foreshadowing “Going Home”? Let’s go with yes. There’s a reason he’s shown to find her when she needs to be found the most. What’s incredibly beautiful about this scene is that it hints how hard Hook will try to uplift Emma. Though he’s not head over heals in love with her at the moment, he’s captivated beyond words, and because when he cares, he cares deeply, he wants to make sure Emma knows his shoulder is available to her. That selfless, heartfelt desire to perpetually commend her is what makes him so immaculately suited for her. He honors her even at her weakest because he understands and knows the level of greatness she’s adept of exceeding. It’s enormously astonishing to see a man have such an unwavering faith in a woman. Happy Emma = Happy Killian. At this point there are absolutely no hard feelings between them in regards to what’s occurred in the past ie: locking each other up, sword fights, etc. It’s done. They’ve been forgiven and what substantiates that conception is this very brief moment of silence after they’ve talked about Neal. If there were any quarrels between them, writers would’ve had them brought up here. This subtle moment wouldn’t exist. It only illuminates that they’re kindred spirits because they’re able to say a prodigious amount without even speaking. Emma knows Hook’s apologetic over what he’s done. Because she’s fully aware of how irritated Hook is that Rumple is on board the only home he’s ever known, she’s able to comprehend the level of respect he undoubtedly has for her since he’s selflessly offered his services to them. They functioned exceptionally well as partners in Tallahassee but following that they both screwed one another over. This silence moment is without a doubt one of the most crucial scenes because it’s the beginning of their second chances with one another.
Not to mention, this scene foreshadowed how effortlessly they’ll be able to offer one another strength in times of need because of how profoundly they understand one another. But that’s just my necessity to continuously mention how perfect beyond words their understanding is.

ParticipantI just saw that new gif set on tumblr, @captaineala
You know, there’s a common belief, girls tend to fall for guys who are like their dad’s?
That last one proves to me, Hook is becoming more and more like Charming, willing to risk his life for love and be the hero. Why even bother to show such a contract, when he met Tink and Hook said, that he’d risk his life for two things, for love and revenge. And he risked his life, fighting against the shadow, not for revenge or himself, but for love, for Emma.

ParticipantHook has always been very much a darker Charming, capable of loving with all his heart, when it comes to love he’s isn’t afraid of anything, would die for their partners, loyal to a fault, honourable, leaders, believe in a fair fight and many more similarities too 🙂 It’s just that Killian’s moral compass is in the grey area, much like Emma’s is. Captain Swan are basically a darker version of Snowing, IMO 🙂
