#like they are both just ROCKED#and they can’t quite move yet#they just need a second#so they stay close#breathing each other in#rubbing noses#eyes closed#Emma is still gripping him tightly#and Killian stays as he is#letting her decide how to proceed#because he respects her choice#and he understands how important choice is to her#and her freedom to decide her fate#but he stays close so she doesn’t wonder about his choice#because his choice will always be to be close to her#as close as possible#to be with her and beside her#to love her#not that he really had a choice in the matter if you think about it#his heart was lost the first time she bested him#and he’s perfectly fine with that#he loves her too much to do anything else#so he stays close#and waits for her to decide#and when she does decide#he respects that too#because deep down he knows he’s not the only one who’s lost#it’s just going to take her a bit longer to realize it#but when she does#well that’s when the fun begins
