ParticipantThanks guys. I’ve always been of the mindset that Emma & Neal have to have a lot of talks about the past and come to grips with it but learn that they are different people now and aren’t necessarily right for each other. I keep waiting for all the CS goodness we’ve been promised and it seems like everybody is so focused on SwanFire right now it’s frustrating! Not to mention the fact that a lot of the characters themselves ship it which makes everybody seem to think it has to happen for Henry to have his happy ending too.
(I’m very adament that Henry can have everybody in his life but there HAS to be some merging of the FTL + real world stuff, given that our characters, especially Emma, have had that as a major influence in their lives now and Henry needs to grow up and realize that they can all still love him and be civil with each other without absolutely having to have his parents back together. With their crazy dysfunctional family – since he has Regina in there as well – he’s just gotta learn that having them all in his life and hopefully getting along with each other eventually is enough – at least I hope that’s the case).
Like I said I love Hook and I want to be happy with who he ends up with and right now, for me, that’s just Emma. We had too many wonderful moments in Tallahassee for it all to be for naught!
Obisgirl I absolutely love that pic! I feel so much better now. *Fingers crossed for something wonderful in the last couple of eps* (and by something wonderful, I mean Emma & Neal addressing the past and moving the heck on. Neal can be sweet and all but I don’t want him with Emma anytime soon and there isn’t a magic button to undo the past even if they both learn / understand what exactly happened to tear them apart.
BRING ON CAPTAIN SWAN! (And please, please show Hook in a more positive light so that others see what we saw in Tallahassee. I’m begging you!)

But that would be Henry’s happy ending. Not Emma’s. Yes, of course Neal should have a presence in Henry’s life because he’s his dad, but I don’t think it would be a romantic one for Emma.

I completely agree.

ParticipantThanks obisgirl! This thread is making me feel lots better now.
I totally agree with the statement that it would be Henry’s happy ending, not necessarily Emma’s. It’s why I’m so adamant that I want them all in Henry’s life but at some point he needs to grow up and realize that their lives AREN’T fairy tales, they have real world experiences and sometimes these things happen but they all need to be able to coexist for his sake. (And by coexist I mean get along, not live together literally!)
I NEED CaptainSwan moments. There was so much hype around PaleyFest and then now it’s all SwanFire because MRJ is doing press and it sounds like they’re gonna be talking stuff out but that doesn’t mean just because they understand the past that they’ll get back together. I feel like we’re being jerked around =/ I’m hoping once hype starts for the finale that Colin will be doing interviews so that there can be some CS hype too….

I hope so too.
There’s that Jennifer/Colin interview that supposed to come out very soon. Like this month. Maybe there will be some happy CS spoilers in there.

We so needed that right now…thank you for giving us that message in such a beautiful and *hot* form. hehe
@AllThatGlitters wrote:However, I don’t think they would have the flirtation between Hook/Emma in Tallahassee for no reason. They clearly wanted to show parallels between Neal and Hook as suitors for Emma. It seems like the episodes have been too busy lately to show Emma’s love life so I am wondering if we will see it more in S3.
I agree with you. The ultimate question is: why would Emma find the need to leave Hook up on that beanstalk and also struggle with leaving him up there? Sure, he’s a pirate, but he also unnerves her with is uncanny ability to peer into her soul. I think we will see some CS action in S3. It may not be a full-blown ship, but perhaps moving toward that. Emma and Hook both have a lot of layers that need peeling back before they are ready for love.

I’m trying to keep me in a good mood with watching fanvids, reading fanfics and discuss here in the forum with you guys. I’m happy that I’m not all alone in my huge CS addiction… 😉
You totally aren’t, Moraha. We’re all trying to our versions of meditation to calm us down. Mine are in the form of fanfics, fanvids, forums, and re-watching CS scenes ad nauseum
So, I’m right there with ya! *fist bump*

Kat, you are absolutely right. I think because Henry is still quite young (11, right?), he hasn’t nailed the concept down of having alternate endings that aren’t ideal, but still have civility involved. I really don’t think Swanfire is going to happen, and even if it does, it will be short-lived. Emma has been betrayed and wounded too deeply to go back to the perpetrator who caused it. I won’t want to harp on Neal because he is proving himself to be a good guy with the way he wants to stick around for Henry. I also think he cares for Emma too.
I just can’t wait to see how CS unfolds. I want to see how they disarm each other. It’s always the process of falling in love and the struggles (esp. when there are love-hate relationships involved – my favorite kind of pairing) to get there that fascinate and keep me hooked in. hehe

I agree – I’ve always said that Emma wouldn’t have left Hook on the beanstalk, if she didn’t care for him. There must have been something there. I mean she said “I can’t take a chance that I’m wrong about you.”! And if I remember right even Eddy and Adam said in the official podcast that Hook reminded her of Neil.

I agree on all accounts.

ParticipantI think Neal and Emma will give it another go briefly because they still have leftover feelings for each other. However they will both realise that they were different people when they had been together, and whilst there will always be the “what if” factor in their relationship, they will realise that they can’t just pretend the past eleven years didn’t happen.
All magic comes with a price!
