Thank goodness that spoiler didn’t come yesterday.

That would have been bad considering all the ‘shipper threads were closed.

So the latest spoiler really leads credence to my theory that Neal takes Charming’s advice and backs down again from going after Emma.  This would be Neal’s tenth chance or whatever to be with Emma and he misses it again.  I’ve watch soap opera guys and I’ve seen this play out more than once on soaps, where the girl/woman gives the guy another chance but they keep failing to make things right when it’s time to make it right.  Bottom line, if it hasn’t happened already, it never will. There’s only so many chances Neal can be given and he keeps missing them before you just give up on a person for not even trying..

Totally agree.  I see people saying he can’t be there to get Emma because he went to find Rumple – and YES EXACTLY, because his arc is with his father!!

I read it. It also said something about how he was bummed that someone teased the red jacket scene because it was very touching.

I mean, when you think about it, long before we knew Neal was Baelfire, Baelfire’s story was with his father.  That’s how the character was originally introduced. We met him first as 14-year-old Bae.  To me, that says, his main story was always going to be rebuilding his relationship with his dad.

Whatever happens with Emma, is secondary.

I think Neal will be going on a quest with Belle to figure out what happened to Rumple. That makes sense to me because they both have a vested interest in seeing him again..

Yes, there wasn’t anything else new that we hadn’t already heard, pretty sure.

And can you just imagine Prince Charming never trying for Snow?  I know, it would never happen.

But the thing I’ve always found fascinating, is the stark contrast between Hook and Neal.

When Hook says something, he does it.  His primary concern in season two was his revenge. Even after he failed a few times, he didn’t just blatantly give up.  Hook’s a lot like Emma and Charming, in that respect, where he keeps for fighting and doesn’t stop fighting for what he wants.  He’s very active. He isn’t just talk.

And then, we have Neal, who says nice things every once in awhile but often times, fails to back up those words with action (especially in regard to Emma). And remember, this was the same guy who admitted in the premiere:

“I was afraid she would never forgive me, so I wound up taking the easy way out, which is not trying.”
