Ok why is Charming punching Hook when he didn't remotely go after the guy who put his baby in jail and left her all alone, causing her to give up his grandson to the Evil Queen? I'm with JMO, when is DaddyCharming going after Neal, not Hook?

I guess he'll probably blame Hook for what's going on since Hook is seen with Tamara & Greg but from the snippet on the abc site, Hook sounds like he's “playing along” but doesn't sound convincing like he really wants to be a part of something. I'm hoping since he's at Emma's that he's there to warn and help them. PLEASE let that be the case. I need to show off the good side of Hook, pronto. Thanks for that crazyfox, much appreciated tonight!

As for the rest, I’ve noticed it a lot in the chat room for the east coast (especially extreme Hook hate) and I try not to let it get me down too much, especially since I know at least a few of us post in here and love him / CaptainSwan but seeing all the jumping up and down celebrating and specifically calling out saying that CaptainSwan is dead is unnecessary/sickening. (And this is said from somebody who sees potential in both sides of the triangle though I obviously love CS more at least until they give me somebody worthy of shipping Hook with as a backup).

I guess I just hoped that people would be more respectful. I’ve never really been involved in a fandom online so much before and love the atmosphere around here most of the time but there’s been so much hate this season for one thing or another. Really wish we had Hook around last season like he was supposed to be, then maybe things would be turned around a bit by now.

There’s really no reason to dance for joy somebody else is unhappy. I think literally the only thing we all agree on right now is hating Tamara (I haven’t heard of one Tamara fan) but tonight just really irked me even though I liked the SwanFire moments. Guess I was being too nice in being happy that somebody got moments they can survive on for the forseeable future while I anxiously await CS ones. Seriously did I just reinvent / imagine PaleyFest??

If we have nothing to go on positive all summer I’m going to be livid. This was the first ship I got invested in fully (though I do like RumBelle and Snowing) and the writers keep giving us hope and then dashing it. If they didn’t do that so much I wouldn’t have bothered getting so invested in it but you can feel it from Tallahassee if you’re open to seeing it (I get being blinded by one side or the other but I do try to see where others are coming from and I get it) and I just feel like we’ve been slapped around. *sigh* Is it next Sunday yet? I want Hook backstory; Hook & young Bae having an awesome relationship and getting along; and Hook coming to the rescue to tell the Charmings what Greg & Tamara are up to as well as Hook comforting Emma because if anybody can be upset and get under his skin it's her and he gets the pain and knows what she's feeling as he's been there so it could be a really sweet bonding moment.

PS: Thanks RG for being an awesome moderator. *Cookies all around for so many feels from this ep, regardless of what they are* – I may be livid that CSers are getting shafted after the hints from PaleyFest, podcasts early on etc. but I do want Oncers to be happy and enjoy whatever they may enjoy. Just sick of the negative celebrations and anxiously awaiting Emma & Hook interaction as there has been very little as of late.

Also thanks for the link. It’s stuff like that that keeps giving me hope but for once I just don’t see how it could possibly connect any time soon based on what happened tonight. If they hadn’t said what they said then maybe, but they did so it’s still going to affect her for awhile. I feel like they changed the course partway through but then that would be majorly teasing the audience and I don’t think they’d backtrack on something that big that’s clearly going to upset half their fanbase who was promised something like that (they get equal love and hate for both Hook and Neal not to mention the ships).

We only have 1 ep left this season and Emma’s going to be raw and then we’ve got big stuff happening…hopefully they’ll at least get some interaction & good bonding moments giving us hope for next season? I’ve felt like they were kindred spirits from the get go but with what just happened they certainly can’t jump into any meaningful moment unless Hook is just nice to her and gives her a shoulder to cry on. I can’t root for anything more than that right now because it would feel too reboundy and we’d never hear the end of it / wouldn’t bode well for longterm future.

Can we PLEASE get those interviews we were promised already so that we can get some good news for our ship too? (I really hate that this triangle divides the fandom so much, but I guess it’s easier to spew hatred for something someone else loves than it is to profess your love for something others hate. I see where they’re coming from and why they love it but Hook gets SO much negative attention that I feel the constant need to defend him =/)

Yeah, I see potential on both sides too, actually, though I still strongly favor CaptainSwan. I thought it was rather mean and juvenile too for SF shippers to dance on our CS graves almost. It’s unnecessary and no one should be making personal jabs. Are we back to boyband rivalries like I had back when I was in high school? 🙄 I wonder which ship will be topping next week’s TRL charts…hmmm…

Yeah, it’s like the writers are waving a carrot in our faces and pulling it back the last minute. I really hope for some CS glimpses…even if it’s just them in a scene together…just a little morsel to get me through this summer…I mean, there were behind the scenes photos of Emma with a book and Hook behind her….

I agree. Rebound would not be the way to go…especially after that heartfelt goodbye that SF shared. That just broke my heart into a billion pieces. It was too much to handle…especially since we just a handle on how self-sacrificing Bae can be with others in addition to Emma.

I also agree that Hook gets a little more negative attention than he should be. Sure, he is a “villain,” but not as heartless as Rumple and Regina can be in their acts. He did not kill Belle. He could have done that. Granted, losing her memory was not wonderful, but he had the choice. I am not hating Rumple and Regina, but that line that Belle gives before she slams Hook with that pole in “Outsider,” she says that Rumple’s heart is true, and his is rotten…I wouldn’t go that far. Hook still has a code and some semblance of honor, even if he is out for vengeance. I do think he will redeem himself next eppy. They would not focus on his concerned look in “Evil Queen” otherwise.

Gosh I hope so. I’ve been afraid to look. The early posts in the brand new SwanFire thread were saying it but I haven’t looked in awhile.

Hopefully the general concensus moving forward is ship and let ship without treading on others toes, even if the ships do overlap.

We started off with quite a few viable ones for Emma and have narrowed it down to two. Sadly those two share an episode that split the fandom into two entirely different directions. On the bright side both ships love Tallahassee? =/

I need those interviews now…or tweets, perhaps we can get Adam to respond to a positive polite tweet about CaptainSwan stuff? I hate when people jump down his throat for their ship not happening and honestly the only reason I would ever be truly mad at the writers (and even then wouldn’t jump down their throats on twitter!) would be if they were promising us everything for naught and then said nope not happening haha we teased you but please keep watching – that would bug me and I don’t think they’ve done that at all yet).

(I really only hate what’s been going on tonight because I can see both sides and the people who are being mean about it are very one-sided. If they could at least respect the other side as I try to do I wouldn’t mind it so much! Good for them for getting their moments tonight, now where’s ours?)

(And for reminding me of the picture with the book that had Emma & Hook both in it *more hope is appearing thanks to you and crazyfox!* Glad I wasn’t reinventing anything. I feel like there were some hints from Jane Espenson in various interviews – though she's the first to admit that she learns new things in the writer's room all the time! as well as Eddie & Adam – maybe I need to relisten to the Tallahassee official podcast. Then there was all the PaleyFest stuff where Bae wasn't even there for, much less mentioned and you could SEE the room getting excited about all the CaptainSwan hints so they HAVE to know how popular it is etc etc. I'm really hoping that promised interview for JMO & Colin that's supposed to come out this week gives us some hope, as well as those hints from some guy on twitter, I can't remember, who either saw the finale or did some interview or something (mind is drawing a TOTAL blank, GRR!) who said there were some huge moments for CS and I coulda sworn one of his tweets was that they were destined to be together, don't you think? So if this somehow doesn't happen after everything from THIS season that was hinted at for it, I just don't know what to think! None of the cast much less the people getting to see this season early would KNOW for sure anything yet for the future unless it's something huge like JMO knowing Bae was Henry's father but there's no way they're telling her who Emma ends up with. As far as what stelio was saying I think she meant people who were posting about it, not making posters (though in my tiredness I totally read it that way at first too!)

Adam tweeting something saying there’s an “awesome Emma and Hook scene” in the next episode 🙂 whether or not it’s a shippy scene, I’m just glad they’ll be in the same room again 😆

Also another parallel in this episode; in The Crocodile, we see Rumple giving Belle a necklace, and Hook loses Milah. In today’s episode, Rumple gives Lacey a necklace, and Emma loses Neal
Milah tells Rumple that there was not a day that went by she didn’t feel sorry for leaving Bae. Neal tells Emma there wasn’t a day he didn’t regret leaving her

Hook and Emma’s paths are so similar and I just don’t see how the show would not mash these two characters together at some point 😆

And it is funny how both swanfire & cs ships love Tallahassee isn’t it 😆 although it did show how one relationship ended while another began..

hopefully these reminders will keep us shipmates content for the next week 🙂

Oh boy, I’m counting down the days until next Sunday already. I CANNOT wait. I would love to see Hook have a tete-a-tete with her, even if it is just to console her for her loss.

Yeah, seriously. On with the CS already. Although, I am still sad about SF this eppy. Gotta pay my respects, and also show how awesome CSers are even in the light of opposition 😆

I think it’s great that CSers and SFers find something in Tallahassee. Shows us how great the writers are.

You honestly just made my week. There is a lot of hope just yet!!! But unlike Milah, I would like Neal to still be alive…did anyone notice how the portal was the same color as the one Bae went through the first time when Rumple let go of him? Hmm…but then where is he going? Do you think he can travel back through time? Just some questions and ideas… 💡

there is still hope! the signs are subtle, but they are there 🙂

I’m speculating that Neal ends up in FTL due to the spoilers of him being seen filming/around Mulan & Aurora. And yes the portal was the same color, I wonder if there’s any significance to the colors

Yeah, I think so too. A&E were hinting at continuing Mulan's and Aurora's storyline, so glad that you have the back end of that spoiler! haha!

I feel like MJR said in one of his inteviews–he “ships it all, baby” and so do I. What happened with Neal is really nothing new, it’s just not between the lines anymore. So the tide will turn the other way now, and we’re going to get the moment where Hook realizes that the price of revenge is too high, and he is going to put it aside to help save everyone in SB, even if it means saving Rumpel. Emma will then see something new in Hook.

Neal’s already shown a willingness to co-parent with Emma, though in the context of thinking he’d be with Tamara. In the end, he truly loves Henry and nothing drives him more than that, not even Emma. That’s why he let go of her hand–for Henry.

The writers set up the parallel in Tallahassee so CS isn’t just a fan invention out of nowhere. There are clues and I really think there will be more to come on that front pretty soon. It’s unfortunate that fan to fan we can’t be a bit nicer and sensitive that people like different things but for every fan reaction there’s an equal and opposite fan reaction I suppose.

At some point, the writers will have to disappoint one faction of fans or another, but I really do have faith they’ll give us enough new storyline that we change our minds about what we think we want when it happens. (Perhaps Wendy will be a factor for Neal? Ariel for Hook? Harem for Emma?)
Like Owen/Greg–first I was wary of “the stranger”, then I was hoping he’d beat Regina, then when it was happening I wasn’t totally crushed to find out what she did to his father. Still sad for Kurt though–but I’m not rooting for Greg so much anymore. In terms of ships, if they can give me this roller coaster I’ll strap in for the ride, but I realize there are those who are going to pick one way of looking at things and stick with it and feel upset over it not playing out exactly as they envisioned. I’m not happy that others are unhappy, but just as with real roller coasters– I actually enjoy the ride with the twists and turns and up and down, even if I see someone else is just wishing the ride were over saying they want to get off.

So hang on–it may be bumpy right now but the ride isn’t over yet.
