Did you guys see the newest BTS pic of JMo? She definitely looks like she could be wearing the swan pendant again, and it looks recent. Anyway, I distinctly remember saying some time ago that she would wear it after Neal's death if it ever came back, as a way to remember him. And Neal hasn't been seen filming lately. You pick up what I'm laying down?

That would be fine. We already know Emma is sentimental. She wears Graham’s shoelace on her wrist, so I would be okay if she wore the swan pendant after Neal died – because it’s her way of remembering him.
Hook has a tattoo of Milah’s name on his arm. All these characters keep something significant to them that are specific to people they care about. Rumple kept Belle’s cup.
Oh yeah it wouldn’t bother me at all, it’s SUPER in character for her IMO, I didn’t expect anything less 🙂
But in case anyone was worried, we said this was a possibility a while ago 😉

I was also thinking that Emma’s view of Neal is going to be different once she gets her memory back. All of the other characters have a “combo” personality of their EF self and their SB self (ie. We Are Both) but Emma has just been Emma. Now Emma will have two “versions” of herself just like everyone else. Even though nothing changes about how Neal left her and she had Henry in prison – she is going to most likely have a whole lot more confidence in relationships because of her NYC life where she thinks she kept Henry. She has now had a life where she has successfully loved someone and been loved back. She has already had a relationship where she didn’t have to put up walls. That is bound to make her approach dating people much differently. While she will still be apprehensive, I don’t think it will be as bad as it was before.
Remember that when she ripped off the necklace and gave it back to Neal she said that she wore it as a reminder to never trust anyone again. Well, now that she has the NYC memories she is likely not going to be as wounded as she was before and I don’t think the necklace will have the same kind of meaning for her anymore. In her NYC life she has already moved on from Neal by more seriously dating someone else – something she was never able to do before. It’s already been done. She can just be angry at Neal for leaving her but then understand why he did it once she gets her memories back. The necklace then becomes nothing more than a reminder of the special relationship they once had, that resulted in Henry. And if he dies (which I think he does) I can see her wanting to put it back again as a gesture of forgiveness since his life was just as messed up as hers was due to what happened in the EF with their parents. Just like Hook’s tattoo of Milah – it serves as a reminder of a person who they loved in the past. Since Bae was important to Hook as well, I can see it being important to Hook that she wear it as well.
The shield that Killian hits with the bone and comes out from behind to help Emma has a helm on it. A shield is a symbol of protection and obviously the helm points to Killian is Captain Hook, the pirate. He is showing Emma that he wants to help her and protect her by drawing the giant’s attention to him and there is a blatant piece of symbolism in the shot!!!!!!
How are we still finding these things in these old episodes? Like how many are there? Well done guys. And well spotted OP.
It has a ship’s wheel in the middle of it. I’m not imagining that right?? It looks….like the helm of a ship! And is a symbol of protection WHILE HE’S PROTECTING HER. [x]

I think it’s important to note as well that the necklace represents both good AND bad times for her (even though in her most recent history it’s been all the bad stuff) but as you say, she got that necklace in jail when she found out she was pregnant with Henry, and now with her memories of having kept him I think her pain on that score will be easier. Similarly in the Echo Cave she said it would be easier to move on from her pain if he was dead – so I think when he dies she will no longer associate the necklace with so much the pain but rather as a reminder of her good times with Neal and the child that came from them.

I am LOVING the posts above!
I’m re-watching S2 and just finished Queen of Hearts. After 3A, the scene with Emma and Hook in the cell is almost heartbreaking! His face, how angry & betrayed he is, is awesome. I don’t know, Ems, I love her but I do think she actually set Hook back a few paces when she left him chained and alone and 2×6.
With all of the stuff we’re seeing lately about who’s filming, who’s not, who’s filming with whom, etc, I’m starting to wonder if it is Belle and not Neal who’s going to die. In the comfort of our little thread, I will say, I’m probably least invested in Belle, and I think between her and Neal (the most likely two options for the death, I believe), Neal’s story is the more compelling one. While I don’t think he’s a viable romantic interest for Emma, his story with his father, and how that mirrors both Rumple and Malcolm’s story and Neal’s story with Henry, could be a very interesting storyline. And I don’t hate Neal. If I had to choose between all of the characters, the one I’m least interested in seeing more of, unfortunately, is Belle’s. So I do think MRJ could still be filming, and probably has been with Bobby, I think our little couple is safe, even if he does contemplate for a few moments to get off his hiney and ‘fight’ for Emma. And I do think it’s important that they show just because they’re not together romantically, they can co-parent their child, and they can love each other on some level, while still finding true love with others. 🙂 ONE MORE WEEK!!!!
