Just finished watching Tangled (so many CaptainSwan feelings!) and maybe after Doctor Who is over I’ll tackle the Princess Bride.
Over the summer sometime I’d like to figure out how to make fanvids and I’d love to use both of these movies for CS comparisons at some point. I absolutely LOVE the Tangled trailer voiceover with CaptainSwan clips.
No idea how to make anything of the sort though and all I can use right now would be Windows Movie Maker but I’m very tempted to try.
*Fingers crossed we get LOTS of good material to use in the finale to hold us over the summer with very obvious potential of gathering more in season 3!*

So do I, even showed it to my sister, who thought it was great too- she’s a fan, but a little less obsessed with the show than I am lol
Oh, it’s not hard at all to do (I made a couple of SG ones a number of yrs ago), it just VERY time consuming- esp using WMM- you have to add each ep, find, cut & paste each clip you want out of each individual ep into your actual fanvid, mute all sound (unless you want them talking with the Once score in the background) add your own music & arrange (not necessarily in that exact order, but that’s the over all process anyway). I may give it ago again now I have adobe software & see if it’s any easier to achieve- it is a lot of fun once you have all the eps loaded tho – I used to group mine in WMM, by charters, races, spaceships, worlds & action scenes etc for ease of use later, which speed things up…. Now you’ve got me keen to make some fanvids lol
Just heard that Merida from the movie Brave is officially being crowned a disney princess…wonder if we’ll see her in Once too 😉 😆
Interesting news I hadn’t heard that! That makes what..10 now? I know they wanted Giselle from Enchanted but they didn’t because then they’d have rights issues with Amy Adams since she’s not an animated character lol.
I’m going to keep looking into the vid thing over time and see. I need to figure out how exactly to get all the necessary videos into the right place etc. I still need to get the necessary movies and episodes into it etc etc. Not sure what I’m going to do for sound, I’m not good with getting the voice clips so will either use the snippets of scenes or do something else with it, haven’t decided yet. I’m definitely interested in learning it someday though!
With so many feelings from Tangled and Princess Bride popping to mind for CaptainSwan stuff it’s pretty hard to resist. Hoping we’ll get some really great stuff in tomorrow’s ep! Less than 24 hours, less than 24 hours, less than *hyperventilates*
Think I’m good now..for the moment lol. Finale is tomorrow ahhhhhhh!

We know that Colin said in an interview the other day that he’s had to leave the band *sad for him, happy for Hook fans* but it’s a lovely little blurb about him on their website apparently (his band is called The Enemies) and…
1) It looks like the band is supportive of him / CaptainSwan!
2) HE CAN PLAY PIANO…Not only can he sing and do a million other things wonderfully that send us all into swooning territory like play guitar etc etc but he can play PIANO which means…..
HE IS THE PERFECT GOOD VERSION OF CAPTAIN HOOK.
Hook in versions that I can think of right now plays piano. The guy who got the girl on Lost played piano. Hook could sometime try and woo Emma by showing a softer, more sentimental side and play piano and it would make total sense within the OUAT world because Hook is known for playing piano!

I checked my twitter feed and still nothing on that interview with Jen ad Colin. I’m starting to feel like we’ve been played guys (unless something magically shows up tomorrow morning, or after the finale — which would be pointless since the interview was supposed to be about this last episode).
I don’t know how I feel about a piano playing Hook 😆 All, I see are crack versions of that in my head.

Well you mentioned Tangled and there’s a tie in sort of–doesn’t the big thug guy (voiced by Brad Garret) play the piano with his hook? He always dreamed of being a concert pianist…..not the parallel you were going for I think.

I have been in the mood to watch Princess Bride again! Someone, (maybe it was you, Kat?) that said our Hook is a cross between Cap. Jack Sparrow and Wesley and that got my Princess Bride juices flowing again lol.

May I recommend Sony Vegas Pro? It’s been a while since I’ve vidded anything, but I have found Sony Vegas to have a lot more effects options than Windows Movie Maker. You can definitely use effects on the voiceovers too. I love VO’s and have used them a lot in my videos.

Agreed. It can be very time-consuming, especially when you are getting started on the program. It just gets a matter of getting used to. I would recommend for anyone to just play around with it because that is where coloring and different effects of your choosing are created! Out of that tinkering!

This is totally NOT helping my cause of trying not to crush too hard on Colin (as he is a married man 😆 I have this thing with crushing on celebs that are taken…kinda try not to obsess over them too much…it just feels wrong lol).

Well he does in the Disney movie so though I doubt we’ll ever see that side of him on OUAT…but we could because Colin can actually play! They had Jack play one on Lost and he was their overall hero who got the girl even though I prefer Sawyer *coughs and moves on* so it could be totally random but still fun. It could even be unexpectedly brilliant since Colin can do all of that himself.
Also…I tweeted again asking (still haven’t heard anything) and I went and read through Keck’s page and I’m really not sure how to take what we’re seeing. Is there actually an interview coming out? Or was their stuff side-lined for lack of space in the other interview but he did talk to them so he’s teasing us and leaving us with just the line about them with the supposed to be or whatever it was.
It’s bad enough we know there’s other stuff out there that was deemed “irrelevant” to the finale because they assume that any CaptainSwan news we want is romantic and their idea of romance clearly sucks because any interaction they show feeds us something to work off of and obviously too much is happening in the finale and too much happened last week for CS to start and be blatantly obvious that they’re together in a romantic way right now.
*shakes fist at the people deciding what is relevant when we want news*

On the plus side every time Colin is asked about his interaction with Emma it always comes back to how much of kindred spirits they are, they share a connection, there are sparks etc etc. *tries to breathe*
Is it tomorrow yet? I know we’re just one sleep away from it and all but I need the ep…in the meantime I will settle for the interview if we ever get our hands on it. >.<

KFChimera – I watched it earlier and saw that too (I think they were trying to say it was Hook without actually going so far as to say it but that part always cracks me up!) There are so many CS things that relate to Tangled. I took notes earlier and will report back later (took notes to figure out a vid for later hopefully).
Jasmine – Yep that was me (I’ll happily take credit for getting Princess Bride juices flowing again too! I plan to rewatch sometime soon, haven’t seen it in what feels like ages now!)
Gonna see how WMM does first just because I already have it so it’s free. Not sure how much I’ll be making vids etc but I certainly have ideas for a couple right now!
I COMPLETELY agree on the trying not to crush on married celebrities too much. It’s super hard sometimes though! But in this case, at least it directly links in to the show rather than just us swooning because he can play piano. Hook plays piano in most versions so it’s totally legit to love that right now….right? *looks innocent*
Even though Colin said he had to leave his band in one of the recent interviews, that blurb is still up in the bio section of his band so I would like to think they’re still being super supportive and it definitely sounds like they want Hook to get Emma! With wording like that how can you think otherwise? <3 it!
