ParticipantVillains really know how to notice true love couples and how best to separate, or create obstacles for them. Snow and Charming had two villains to contend with, Regina and King George but when you go over the final count for Captain Swan:
You have…
- Cora
- Rumple
- Regina
- Pan
- Walsh
- Zelena
In terms of separating them, or wanting to cause harm, there’s Rumple and Zelena. Rumple would have surely killed Hook back in season two if he stayed in Storybrooke after Belle’s accident, and Zelena cursed Hook. Pan tried to cause love triangle drama that only lived for about two episodes. Regina hasn’t tried to cause physical harm to either Emma or Hook, and Cora almost would have killed Hook if he didn’t have something that she needed.
But still, if Hook and Emma weren’t meant to be true loves (and we know they are), why would Adam and Eddie give them so many villains that they have to deal with? I feel like it should be fairly obvious at this point where Adam and Eddie are going with this.

ParticipantIt’s all good …and showcases Hook’s/Colin’s intensity. He is such a major player now more than ever.
and absolutely this will give Emma quite the…soul searching pause…in her search for herself and love. She truly does need a swift kick and this, though tough for our tortured hero, will give it to her. The shoe is on the other foot( hook on the other hand?) but it will eventually take both of them to a massively emotional connection and climax (of the PLOT!) when they do defeat that biaaaatch.
Emma’s power has strength that impresses even Regina. Imagine the power of her Love When she acknowledges it.
it’s allll good stuff.

ParticipantOh my goodness great ep. Head. Blown. I hate to say it, but I’m kinda happy Miss “I Don’t Yearn’s” gonna be yearning something awful…just for a few episodes. New headcannon. Zelena thinks the curse will cause Emma to lose her magic but when Emma does TLK Killian, nothing happens. Emma’s magic is impenetrable. And…we find this out next ep. 😉 I still want Regina to be the one to break the curse!
Haha- I agree with you! LOVED this episode- even if we were off on most of it- I totally clicked onto Ariel being WW just before she had Killy swear on Emma’s name & went oh god NO! When she slapped the kiss curse on him, as I knew that Emma would ‘want’ to jump into a relationship or something as soon as that happened lol Cs is going to be the modern day equivalent of Snowing lol …. my only issue is- If CS is TL, wont the ‘magic zapping curse’ be negated anyway? Could you just imagine WW face if Emma does kiss Emma & rainbow whoosh, Emma still has her powers & her TL LOL. Ugh, think A&E are going to kill me before we get to seasons end- Will Killy spill the beans to Charming about what happened or maybe Regina- I cant see him wanting to talk to Emma about it in a hurry- since a kiss is involved 😉

ParticipantThis witch is going down if I have kick her psychotic green butt myself. No one emotionally destroys my Killy like that and gets away with it. No. One.

ParticipantJeez, would you just look at that poor face! The pain!!!!! WAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!
This & that scene at the end of him watching her while she’s with her family at dinner- Nawwwwww, poor poor Killy!
I agree it will only strengthen our OTP to have this curse between them- It really does feel like Snowing all over again with the darn curses keeping them apart lol, but we all know the best/biggest pay offs for romances are those that build slowly & take their time exploring all the ways they come together as a couple- cant wait to see it all play out, but may just die of feels before we get to the end 😉

Anonymous: In response to that last message, I do get why people are mad about how they wrote Hook’s lost year. We thought he’d be a knight in armor. We thought he’d heroically help Ariel. We thought he’d selflessly give up the Jolly to Blackbeard for Emma. Alas, he did none of these things. I’m not saying he’s evil. I still love him and feel his pain. But I do get why people felt let down.
Yes, but… as nice as it would be to see those things (and might I note, he doesn’t have the Jolly, he clearly made a choice to leave it behind at some point and there’s more to that story to come) remember, those were our EXPECTATIONS. Somewhat rose-colored as well. Killian Jones/Captain Hook is a dark character. And I also think it might have been slightly ooc for him to just be happy to go on being a hero and pretending that his life was just fine without Emma. He’s NOT okay without her. He’s NOT going to fill the void with being the person he used to be, and the point of the flashbacks was to see how miserably he failed and how much the guilt is eating at him. He made the wrong choices and he’s working his (edited from another name for donkeys to) ‘backside’ off now trying to fix them, but it’s made him lose everything. And if he was running around being a hero in the lost year, he wouldn’t be so adamant about keeping it from Emma. He doesn’t want her to know what he did because he’s so ashamed of it (as he admitted to fake Ariel). There HAS to be a moment where she finds that out and tells him that she doesn’t care. As she did tonight, but once she knows. For real.
Got to admit, I wasnt disappointed with anything in this ep, so agree with her/his reply.
I have also have to admit, I loved thepart when Zelena threatened Henry & Killy got all ‘dont you even consider it bitc…… wench’ – LOVING how protective he is of Henry & that WW (typical how it’s always the bad guys who point these things out, so those wearing blinkers watching it, cant mistake it) pointed out how “fond” of Henry, Killy had become. The poor guy is stuck between a rock & a hard place- protect Emma & her powers, so the WW cant harm her/ everyone else, or protect her family & most importantly Henry from being harmed *sobs* Poor, poor Killy! (& the stupid promo didnt really show anything interesting, so dont even have that to analyse to death while we wait for next week lol)
